A developing story as a gunman shoots as many as 13 and kills himself at an Omaha mall this afternoon.

A sniper opened fire at a busy Omaha mall, killing at least eight people, wounding at least five others and then killing himself, police officials said.He's not been identified yet.
Sgt. Teresa Negron said most of the dead were inside Von Maur department store at Westroads Mall. She added that the shooter was male and acted alone. The gunman was found dead on the third floor of Von Maur.
Police told NBC affiliate WOWT-TV that the gunman was a 19-year-old man from Bellevue, Neb., man who left a suicide note in his home stating, "I'm going out in style." The man’s vehicle was found in the mall parking lot. Bellevue is in Sarpy County, which is south of Omaha and is home to Offutt Air Force Base.
Witnesses told WOWT-TV that the shooter pointed a gun over a third-floor railing and opened fire. Police locked the mall down in the aftermath.

A law enforcement official speaking on the condition of anonymity has identified the gunman in a deadly mall shooting today as Robert Hawkins of Bellevue.
The official tells The Associated Press that Hawkins was born in 1987.
The official says the shooter left a suicide note that was found by his mother. The official did not know what the note said, where it was found, or the gunman's motive in the shootings. It was given to police, who have not confirmed or denied the existance of the note. The official says the alleged shooter did not have a criminal record or history.
