NFL Week 14

Things started out well in Week 13, but we crashed and burned in the later games and finished 8-8, bringing the 2007 slate to a mortifying 79-103-9. On the upside, there are only four weeks left until I'm put out of my misery.

We had the Redskins over the Bears Thursday. Here's a look at the remainder of the schedule.

SUNDAY
Giants +3 Eagles: Eagles have played well last two games, but dreadful turnovers doomed them both times. McNabb returns, but may be rusty, and the Giants, 5-1 away from home, have a chance to almost lock down a playoff spot. Giants 23-20

Panthers +10.5 JAGUARS: Spread a wee bit high here and Panthers are better on the road than at home. Jaguars 23-13

Cowboys -10.5 LIONS: Lions were once 6-2, but are now on fast track to 6-10. How long does Matt Millen get to play GM in Detroit? Cowboys 38-17

BILLS -7 Dolphins: Gametime temperature of 32 degrees and a wintry mix ought to make the 0-12 Fish feel welcome. Bills 17-3

Packers -10.5 RAIDERS: It'll be even colder in Green Bay, and coming off 10 days rest, the Pack will have no trouble, with Brett Favre or without. Packers 27-7

Chargers E TITANS: Chargers can pretty much seal the AFC West while Titans are now in death struggle for a playoff spot ... and fading. Chargers 30-27

BENGALS -6.5 Rams: Risky laying anything with erratic Bengals, but they should have some fun in this one. Bengals 37-27

Buccaneers -3 TEXANS: Surprising Bucs can win NFC South and Houston has Sage Rosenfels starting. Bucs 24-16

Browns -3 JETS: We lucky viewers in the New York market get this dud while the rest of the planet gets Steelers at Patriots. Browns 31-21

SEAHAWKS -7 Cardinals: Can't ever get the Cardinals right, but both Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Bolden are banged up and Seattle has a chance to clinch NFC West, so Seattle will again win the division. Seahawks 30-20

Vikings -8.5 49ERS: Vikings on a major roll, have a legit shot at the playoffs, and the moribund Niners offense won't be enough to keep pace. Vikings 31-14

BRONCOS -6.5 Chiefs: Two disappointing teams playing out the string. At least the Broncos can score. Broncos 33-13

Steelers +10.5 PATRIOTS: After two straight scares, New England should be able to stay undefeated, though Steelers ground game will be able to move the ball and keep things uncomfortable. Patriots lock up home field with win, another incentive. Patriots 27-20

SUNDAY NIGHT
Colts -9 RAVENS: Loudmouth thugs from Baltimore left in all on the field against New England. Colts happy to put them out of their misery. As always, the Olbermann Rule is in effect. Colts 30-17

MONDAY NIGHT
Saints -4 FALCONS: Falcons were put out of their misery months ago and are starting Chris Redman, who hasn't been in the league for three years. Good luck with that. Saints 37-14
