A new congresswoman from California began her career Thursday by demanding the immediate withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq, drawing boos from some colleagues.
Jackie Speier, a Democrat and former state legislator, was sworn in after winning a special election to replace Rep. Tom Lantos, who died Feb. 11 of cancer. She must win a June primary and election in November to serve a full term, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.
I love this little bit in her bio.
Speier was legal counsel in the 1970s to Rep. Leo Ryan, D-Calif. She was critically wounded in the 1978 Jonestown, Guyana, shooting in which Ryan was killed.
For those not old enough to remember the Jonestown Massacre here is some information on it. Sounds like she traded in one cult for another. Okay in fairness she was not part of the cult who committed suicide but was with congressman Ryan who had gone down to Guyana to investigate, but unlike this story she was not legal counsel but rather a personal assistant to Ryan.
It is getting harder and harder to find just one Democrat a day who puts on full display their Chronic Moonbat Syndrome. They think PTSD is a major psychological disorder that needs attention, I think CMS is far more dangerous.
