Headline of the Day

You have to love the subtle urgency in the message.

Minutes left to save the world
US Senators will vote shortly on a revamped $US700 billion ($882.7 billion) plan designed to shore up Wall Street and stabilise the global economy.

Senate leaders were confident this morning that the bailout Bill would be passed, with the vote expected at 9.30am (AEST).

The House of Representatives, which threw out the rescue package earlier this week triggering a $1 trillion rout on Wall Street and a stockmarket meltdown worldwide, will reconsider the revised Bill on Friday.
I guess if you're still around to read this the world has been saved.
