'It’s The Death of Comedy'

Unfunny people who cracked lame Bush jokes for eight years have now realized they can no longer make fun of the president.

How quaint.
Ms. Conrad, 24, admitted thinking about the President Bush comedy clock winding down. “Biden says wacky stuff sometimes,” she said hopefully.

Dan Gregor, the screenwriter, volunteered for the Obama campaign, working on phone banks with many comedians. “We felt, like, actual ownership of the political process in some way,” he said. “This felt like the right way to cap that off.”

That sounds awfully sincere. “It’s the death of comedy,” Mr. Gregor said. “We’ve entered the era of sincerity. That’s unfortunate because sincerity is pretty bland. But if it makes the world better, I’ll give up sarcasm.”

Judging by his tone, not quite yet.
As for those of us who didn't vote for Obama, now the fun begins. We'll see how amusing the left finds things now.
