In what is possibly one of the more bizarre bad PR moves of the year a New York hotel, has kicked out the current female teenage tennis phenom Melanie Oudin out of her hotel for overstaying her reservation.
The U.S. Open quarterfinalist was booted from her Times Square hotel because her reservation was up, Sports Business Journal is reporting. Apparently the 17-year-old didn't expect to be staying in New York so long.
Melanie Oudin is, for me anyway, a local girl who is currently making waves at the US Open tennis championships. She appeared on the radar screen by her recent good showing at Wimbledon and is continuing to serve notice in tennis circles.
Well it ain't like New York is the City of Brotherly Love or anything. I believe the doorman was heard telling her that things were tough all over.
Or maybe it was simply retribution for her skipping school and not listening to Barry O's speech today.
BTW she was home schooled.
