this morning it was a trial balloon.
Considering toe fungus is more popular than Paterson, that isn't much of a stretch. Though I consider this trial balloon will burst by this afternoon, buried under an avalanche of ridicule.
Sure enough:
Disgraced former Gov. Eliot Spitzer refuted a published report on Tuesday that he is considering a political comeback.
"I have no plans to run for office," Spitzer told the Daily News in a brief telephone interview from his father's Manhattan real estate office.
OK, now please, please just go away.
