Palin or Gingrich - Which One Can Deliver
The Georgia governors race on the Republican side is a) Very crowded and b) Bringing out the heavy weights in the endorsement battle.
Yesterday Sarah Palin lent her endorsement to gubernatorial candidate Karen Handel on the heels of the previous endorsement from Arizona governor Jan Brewer.
Today Newt Gingrich announced his endorsement of former congressman Nathan Deal for the top job in the state.
The guy that is leading in the polls, John Oxendine, the current Insurance Commissioner, is beset by so many ethics investigations and allegations that I can't figure out how he is even considered a serious candidate.
Newt is one of Georgia's favorite sons so we will see if his endorsement can somehow pull Deal up in the polls. The primary is next week, with early voting already going on and most polls show a 3 way race among the 8 Republican candidates between Handel, Deal, and Oxendine.
In the meantime all the Ox can do is run blatantly misleading ads against the other candidates with the money he got from campaign contributors which are the subject of one of the investigations against him. Sure he has more campaign cash then the others, but it's source is highly suspect, and I don't guess that cash can buy him any endorsements.
Let's see who has the clout among Georgia voters. Palin or Gingrich.
