Still Think It's Just A Game?

I have held my fire over the WikiLeaks treasonous acts with the releasing of the documents supplied to them from a enlisted military member, because in today's America words like treason, espionage, and sabotage have lost all meaning. It began when the New York Times several years ago thought it would be a great idea to publish several pieces about various actions we were taking to help us track terrorists and their financial transactions.

Nothing happened then and expect nothing to happen now. Hell, we caught Russian spies and a deal was made for a swap quicker then Dominoes can deliver a pizza.

Well, at least one Congressman from Michigan, Mike Rogers, ain't willing to dismiss this act casually.
Rep. Mike Rogers of Michigan told a local radio station on Monday (MP3 audio) that he believes Bradley Manning, the Army intelligence specialist who is suspected of being a source for the document-sharing Web site, should be charged with treason.

When the WHMI interviewer suggested that treason in war is a capital crime, Rogers replied: "Yes, and I would have absolutely, I would support it 100 percent. He put soldiers at risk who are our there fighting for their country, and he put people who are cooperating with the United States government clearly at risk."

Rogers added: "If you have an 18 or 19 year old over there, you want to get your hands on this private first class yourself. I know I do."
I hope WikiLeaks founder Assange is feeling a little uneasy himself after no doubt condemning several Afghan civilians to death; as for this PFC sitting in jail: I hope you hold on to your convictions all the way to the firing squad.
