A golfer's errant shot sparked a 12-acre forest fire in Southern California.No charges have been filed against the unidentified golfer.
The golfer was playing at the Shady Canyon Golf Course in Irvine when he hit a shot that landed in the rough.
On his next swing, the club struck a rock, causing a spark that set fire to the rough and spread into nearby woodland and over two dry, brush-covered hillsides.
The scale of the blaze saw 150 firefighters attending the scene to prevent it from spreading near homes.
