Milbank Almost Gets Through Day 1 of Palin Boycott ... Before Mentioning Palin

We jokingly noted this morning it took the Washington Post a mere nine hours before churning out their first Sarah Palin item of the day, on the very day their own Dana Milbank said he'd be beginning his month-long boycott of all things Palin. Well, he just can't quit her. He lasted until 3:45 pm.
I survived Day One of my February Sarah Palin moratorium, defeating the evil plans of ABC News's Rick Klein.
Um, no, you didn't survive, idiot. You already lost.

Dumbass.

Here he talks about not talking about Palin.

Surprise! Dana Milbank's Own Newspaper Crosses the Palin Picket Line

A couple of weeks ago Washington Post clown Dana Milbank, in a desperate bid for attention, pleaded with his fellow moonbats to cool it with their Sarah Palin obsession and to avoid reporting on her for the month of February.

Well, that lasted less than nine hours. At his own newspaper. Milbank really has some clout, huh?

Needless to say, the bulk of the comments are the typical, rehashed anti-Palin screeds.

Imagine my surprise.

Meanwhile, MSNBC today offers you the Sarah Palin Guide to Style. Apparently they're trying to be funny.
She's no Michelle Obama when it comes to style, but that doesn't mean former Alaska governor Sarah Palin has nothing to offer in terms of fashion. On the contrary, Palin has mastered the art of looking effortlessly chic. Grab your sexy librarian glasses and chunky heels -- it's time to learn how to dress like the Mama Grizzly.

Embarrassing: WaPo's Dana Milbank Gives Michelle Obama a Tongue Bath

The death of journalism, Part 1,037. This is garbage that would be rejected by a junior high school paper.
For the first time in her adult life, Michelle Obama is really proud of her cauliflower.

She's also proud of her carrots, her chard, her collards, her cabbage, her chamomile, chervil and kohlrabi -- and everything else in her White House garden, which she planted Wednesday afternoon with a group of schoolchildren.

"Peas! We did some peas!" she told the kids, recounting the glories of last year's harvest. "We did some onions, and we did a bunch of herbs. Don't you remember? We did chives and garlic and rosemary and all that good stuff. We had blueberries and raspberries and blackberries. Mmmm."

"We harvested over 55 different kinds of healthy food -- 55!" the first lady reported. "One thousand pounds of food! Can you imagine that?"
Uh, no, I can't imagine that. Considering Washington, DC just dug out of record snowfall, how exactly did "one thousand pounds of food" get harvested by the first of April? Can anyone please explain this?
Also hard to imagine is that this is the same Michelle Obama so many feared when her husband ran for the presidency in 2008. Then, many predicted that she would be an angry and divisive presence in the White House, based largely on unfounded racial accusations on the Internet and her poorly worded boast during the primaries that "for the first time in my adult life, I'm really proud of my country."
I guess this dunce missed the part about America being a downright mean country. But hey, let's talk about her cauliflower!
Compared with those expectations of a fiery first lady, Obama, beginning her second spring in the White House, has turned out to be Michelle Milquetoast. Her low profile has been one of the big surprises of the Obama presidency, even to officials in the West Wing, who have noted what they regard as her light schedule.
Considering her unpopular husband is in our faces 24/7, how could she possibly get any face time?

Now keep in mind this guy is supposedly an objective reporter.
The first lady of the United States, dirt on her knees, then taught the children how to do "the rhubarb dance," which consisted of wiggling fingers and casting a voodoo-like spell on the herb and chanting, "Grow, rhubarb, grow." She then marched them rhythmically around the plot. "You gotta shake it!" she instructed.

She returned to the White House, but not before leaving the photographers and reporters with a final admonition. "Stay out of trouble," she said. It's something Michelle Obama has done exceedingly well.
According to who?

The comments to this "news" story are justifiably merciless. Milbank should hang his head in shame. Here's a good one:
A Day in the life of the State Run Media: I can see the media lefties now sitting around their morning staff meetings with their soy lattes, discussing the day's agenda, fretting over the utter collapse in the numbers of their viewers and readers. They wring their neatly manicured, delicate and extremely small hands, simply mystified as to why with so many hard hitting journalistic pieces their numbers are bad. Little Dana Mountebank summons up all of his courage and hits them all with this - a piece about Michelle the Milquetoast in her garden with kids. The "awwwww" factor alone should guarantee at least a few more readers! After they read how gentle and motherly Michelle is, they will certainly abandon their torches and pitchforks and rally around the White House and their agenda! This will work! The lefties rally round delicate Dana, hoist him upon their shoulders and carry him victoriously over to the graven image of Obama that graces their "news"room, convinced that their lord will be most pleased with their offering. He is, they cheer and scurry back to their cubicles to see who will be the next to impress the master.

'I Have Never Seen So Many People So Excited About Fruits and Vegetables!'

I guess nobody on Michelle Obama's two-dozen member staff is available to do some food shopping for her. So instead she shuts down half of DC to pick up some arugula.

Dana Milbank, White House stenographer, gushes over he trip to the market.
Let's say you're preparing dinner and you realize with dismay that you don't have any certified organic Tuscan kale. What to do?

Here's how Michelle Obama handled this very predicament Thursday afternoon:

The Secret Service and the D.C. police brought in three dozen vehicles and shut down H Street, Vermont Avenue, two lanes of I Street and an entrance to the McPherson Square Metro station. They swept the area, in front of the Department of Veterans Affairs, with bomb-sniffing dogs and installed magnetometers in the middle of the street, put up barricades to keep pedestrians out, and took positions with binoculars atop trucks. Though the produce stand was only a block or so from the White House, the first lady hopped into her armored limousine and pulled into the market amid the wail of sirens.

Then, and only then, could Obama purchase her leafy greens. "Now it's time to buy some food," she told several hundred people who came to watch. "Let's shop!"

Cowbells were rung. Somebody put a lei of marigolds around Obama's neck. The first lady picked up a straw basket and headed for the "Farm at Sunnyside" tent, where she loaded up with organic Asian pears, cherry tomatoes, multicolored potatoes, free-range eggs and, yes, two bunches of Tuscan kale. She left the produce with an aide, who paid the cashier as Obama made her way back to the limousine.

There's nothing like the simple pleasures of a farm stand to return us to our agrarian roots.

The first lady had encouraged Freshfarm Markets, the group that runs popular farmers markets in Dupont Circle and elsewhere, to set up near the White House, and she helped get the approvals to shut down Vermont Avenue during rush hour on Thursdays. But the result was quite the opposite of a quaint farmers market. Considering all the logistics, each tomato she purchased had a carbon footprint of several tons.

The promotion of organic and locally grown food, though an admirable cause, is a risky one for the Obamas, because there's a fine line between promoting healthful eating and sounding like a snob. The president, when he was a candidate in 2007, got in trouble in Iowa when he asked a crowd, "Anybody gone into Whole Foods lately and see what they charge for arugula?" Iowans didn't have a Whole Foods.
And to think these people lecture us about carbon footprints. The slobbering continues.
The first lady, in gray slacks and blue sweater, marveled that the people were "so pumped up" despite the rain. "I have never seen so many people so excited about fruits and vegetables!" she said. (Must be the tender baby arugula.)

She spoke of the global reach of her cause: "The first thing world leaders, prime ministers, kings, queens ask me about is the White House garden. And then they ask about Bo."

She spoke of the fuel fed to the world's most powerful man: "I've learned that when my family eats fresh food, healthy food, that it really affects how we feel, how we get through the day . . . whether there's a Cabinet meeting or whether we're just walking the dog."

And she spoke of her own culinary efforts: "There are times when putting together a healthy meal is harder than you might imagine."
We're supposed to believe this woman is preparing their meals?

Please.

Just imagine for a moment if Laura Bush had a Secret Service caravan shut down busy thoroughfares so she could go a block to buy arugula. There'd have been Congressional investigations.

Boot-Licking WaPo Hack: John Podesta Is a Rock Star

Rock Star?
Obamamania has reached comical proportions now when a Clinton retread and George Soros henchman is referred to as a rock star. These Washington Post morons really need to get out of the Beltway and familiarize themselves with the real world.
You know Obamania has reached a new level when even John Podesta is a rock star.

Some of the best reporters in the business lined up for more than an hour on 6th Street NW this afternoon for a chance to hear Podesta, the Obama transition chief, give an operational update. When the transition team announced the press briefing last night, it promptly received 207 RSVPs -- far more than the 84 chairs that could fit into the conference room in the government offices serving as transition headquarters.

Secret Service agents and transition officials served as bouncers, consulting their lists as reporters begged their way in: "I RSVP'd! Last night!" About 100 people back in the line was no less a personality than Karen Tumulty, a veteran political writer for Time magazine. Inside, the lucky holders of White House "hard passes" -- the first to be admitted -- threw jackets over chairs to save seats for their colleagues outside. Ryan Lizza of the New Yorker had to sit on a step in the back of the room. CNN's Ed Henry was buried in the fifth row. The event was delayed 20 minutes until all the Podesta groupies could get through security. The Washington Post alone sent six reporters.
That's six reporters too many, obviously. This boob Milbank is even gushing over the absurd Karen Tumulty, who when last heard from was busy decoding hidden racial bias in John McCain commercials.

At least we get some comic relief from this drivel when you read the comments accompanying the idiocy.

Milbank should be embarrassed churning out such dreck.
What a pathetic gaggle of sycophants.

Our press corps has degenerated into a mindless cadre of adoring Obama groupies.

What underwear is Obama wearing today? Please, another loving photo of the Obama family. Did that get that cat? Or was it a dog?

Please remember, God has a sense of humor. Plenty of jokes just over the horizon.

Hey Dana..fawning over George Soros' hand picked guy in the White House is a bit on the sick side.. Yep ...this is Soros' guy...Time for the Post....if you have any gonnads to do an investigation into this vermine. He was totally funded by Soros. Not a word about that...only that he is a Rock Star....Trying to get an invite from Podesta by sucking up Dana?. I'm sure if McCains folks were funded by Melenscaffe you would be interested. But I guess the end ...in the Posts management... justifies the means... This rag is really pathetic.

Podesta, a Rock Star? Oh please! I am so sick of the media and the messiah hasn't even been sworn in yet. I hope you and CNN, CBS, MSNBC, NBC, ABC and all the other kool aid drinkers go down in flames. True justice. GO PALIN 2012!!!

You WPost, and other media weenies who bought into the Bush third term propaganda are about to experience Jimmy Carter's second term. Obama was elected to "fix" the economy, not create a Soviet style socialist paradise, a la George Soros.

Dana Milbank Unhinged

Washington Post moron Dana Milbank authored a piece Thursday that was so laden with Bush Derangement Syndrome it probably should have been written for the Huffington Post or Daily Kos.

Paul Mirengoff at Power Line shreds Milbank.
When I cancelled my subsription to the Washington Post in 2004, the woman on the other end of the phone asked me, as she was required to do, what my reason was. I responded, "Dana Milbank." Milbank's abominable coverage of President Bush wasn't my only reason, of course, but it pretty much captured the problem.

These days, I wouldn't cite Milbank. He's left the Whitee House beat and set up shop on page 2 where he produces "human comedy" style reporting in which he takes mostly deft shots at politicians from both parties, though more Republicans than Democrats.

Evidently, though, Milbank's hatred of President Bush has not abated, and today he produced a disgraceful column in which he attacks Bush for once again playing the al Qaeda card in Iraq. Milbank declares: "The man who four years ago admitted 'no evidence' of an Iraqi role in the Sept. 11 attacks now finds solid evidence of a role in Iraq by the Sept. 11 hijackers." Milbank goes on to suggest that Bush's argument flies in the face of the Pentagon inspector general's conclusion that al Qaeda had no ties to Iraq before the U.S. invasion. He thus engages in the absurd pretense that there's a contradiction between the view (which itself isn't quite true) that al Qaeda wasn't in Iraq in 2002 and the view that it's there today.
