Horror: Obama Appoints Fox Contributor Who Worked for Bush

Seems the left may have to take a day off from their frothing temper tantrum over Sarah Palin and direct their unbridled anger in another direction. But where do they focus the rage? On Barack Obama or this young lady?

Former press secretary to President George W. Bush Dana Perino was appointed as a member of the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) Wednesday evening.

The board governs all government sponsored, non-military international broadcasting outlets, such as Radio Free Europe, Radio Free Asia, and Alhurra. The BBG is a nine member, bipartisan panel.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) urged the Obama administration to appoint Perino.

Perino is currently a Chief Issues Counselor for the United States at Burson-Marsteller, an international public relations firm, and is a contributor to Fox News.

Perino certainly has all the qualifications to drive the left over the edge. She's a good-looking conservative woman not afraid to speak her mind. And you know misogynistic liberals just can't handle any of that.

GOP Looking For Help In All the Wrong Places?

What do they expect, for them to go looking for help from that pudgy little traitor Scott McClellan?

For my money, you could do worse than seek help from Dana Perino.

Republicans looking to recover from Bush-era defeats are turning to an unlikely source for advice: top aides to former President George W. Bush.

Former White House press secretary Dana Perino, former Bush counselor Ed Gillespie and former White House deputy press secretary Tony Fratto are among those set to provide words of wisdom to House Republican press secretaries at their annual workshop this Friday.

GOP House Conference Communications Director Matt Lloyd said Perino, Gillespie and Fratto represented “the gold standard for Republican communications professionals” and were obvious choices to advise the party’s messengers.

But Democrats are deriding the move to bring in the Bush veterans, calling it proof that the GOP has failed to recognize that Bush’s policies are at least partly to blame for the party’s minority status.

“Reuniting the Bush operation is like making a sequel to a very bad movie. House Republicans are better off staying home, watching soaps and coming up with new ideas for their out-of-touch party,” said Doug Thornell, spokesman for Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.).

Funny, isn't it, how the Democrats are so eager to offer advice to the Republicans? I'm sure they have their best interests in mind.

Seems to me having advice from people who helped win two national elections can't hurt all that much.

Perino Mocks Obama: 'Gosh It's So Complicated To Close Guantanamo Bay'

Oh my, doesn't the lovely Dana Perino realize thou shalt not poke fun at The Messiah? Wait until the retarded left gets wind of this.

Why, why, that's mean spirited!

Perino criticized a few trends she's noticed in media coverage of the presidency. "Why does everyone have to include the approval ratings of the president [in their reporting on the president]?" she wondered. She also mocked a certain news magazine for electing to offer more commentary when that's all it was offering already. While she thinks some of the "analysis" articles published in newspapers are genuine pieces of analysis, others are thinly veiled commentary, "a trend that's not necessarily good," she said.

The press secretary took a little dig at the incoming president for attacking Bush's policy on Guantanamo throughout the campaign. "All of a sudden, 'Gosh it's so complicated to close Guantanamo Bay,'" she said.

Considering this week alone we've gone from Club Gitmo closing in 100 days to Obama announcing it on Day One to now maybe making sure it gets closed by 2013. Nothing like taking a firm stand, Barry.

Sure to further enrage the Obamatons is the realization that Obama isn't the only one to get the photo halo treatment.

Bush Rescinds Pardon to NY Developer

Oh snap. Imagine two days before Christmas you get a pardon from the President of the United States. Then he takes it back the next day.

Ouch.

President George W. Bush took the very rare step Wednesday of revoking a pardon he had granted only a day before, after learning of political contributions to Republicans by the man's father and other information.

Bush pardoned 19 people on Tuesday, including Isaac Robert Toussie of Brooklyn, N.Y., who had been convicted of making false statements to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and of mail fraud. On Wednesday, the White House issued an extraordinary statement saying the president was reversing his decision in Toussie's case.

White House press secretary Dana Perino said the new decision was "based on information that has subsequently come to light," including on the extent and nature of Toussie's prior criminal offenses. She also said that neither the White House counsel's office nor the president had been aware of a political contribution by Toussie's father that "might create an appearance of impropriety."

"Given that, this was the prudent thing to do," she said.

I'm not sure pardoning this scam artist was a good idea to begin with.

Malloy Advocates Violence Against Perino, Bushes

Taking a disturbing trend in liberal talk radio rhetoric a step further, "progressive" talker Mike Malloy has told listeners he has "violence fantasies" toward White House Spokeswoman Dana Perino. In addition, he has called for physical torture of the "Bush crime family" if they refuse to "tell the truth" about his perceived political grievances.

Is it time to double- check security at the White House?

From Monday's first hour, here's a partial transcript of the syndicated talker's third segment:

I used to have violence fantasies about Scott McClellan because of the inpenetrable wall of idiocy and supposed ignorance, some of which was probably not supposed, that behind which he used to hide at every press conference. Perhaps when Karl Rove announced his departure from the White House, he thought he'd finally get away from the kooks that have hounded him all these years.

Well, leave it to the media whores from PETA to harass him some more.

Rove's dove hunt has feathers flying

Animal activists are snarling at Karl Rove now that the departing White House political wizard will spend the Labor Day weekend dove-hunting.

The president of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, Ingrid Newkirk, faxed an ankle-biting letter to Rove on Wednesday after washingtonpost.com columnist Mary Ann Akers disclosed his holiday plans.

"Dear Mr. Rove," Newkirk wrote. "From your frequent hunting trips to your bizarre little rap at the Radio and Television Correspondents' Association dinner [where Rove joked that he liked to "tear the tops off of small animals"], it is clear that you lack the ability to empathize with other living beings. You consistently prove that you care less about animal welfare than Alberto Gonzales cares about habeas corpus."

Newkirk said she couldn't see how Rove could find sport in killing "little birds who are the international symbol of peace. You will leave politics to spend more time with your family only to destroy the families of other species."

You can sense where this is heading.

Can you imagine the reaction when he gets a book deal? Hopefully it's with a Murdoch enterprise, just to rub it in their faces a bit more.

Anyway, the pitiful Newkirk couldn't resist just hammering away at Rove. You mention hunting, there always room for another cheesy Dick Cheney joke.

Her parting shot: suggesting that Rove bring along Deadeye Dick Cheney — who infamously tenderized a friend's face with buckshot while quail-hunting.

Returning fire, White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said, "Will PETA issue the same press release when the Democratic presidential candidates go out hunting in the next year to get their obligatory ‘I'm a hunter too!' pictures taken? Just hope they know how to hold a gun properly — it's a bummer for a candidate if a mistake is made for all the voters to see."

Rove Leaving White House

The kook left won't have Karl Rove to kick around much longer. Somewhere, Chuckie Schumer seethes.

Karl Rove to quit at end of August

Karl Rove, President Bush's senior political adviser, will voluntarily step down from his White House post at the end of the month, senior administration officials said Monday.

"Obviously its big loss to us, said Deputy White House press secretary Dana Perino. "He is a great colleague, good friend and a brilliant mind."

Perino said Rove "wouldn't be going if he wasn't sure this is the right time to be giving more time to his family."

Rove, who has held a top position in the White House since Bush took office in January 2001, is to stand down on August 31.

"I just think it's time," Rove told the Wall Street Journal. "There's always something that can keep you here, and as much as I'd like to be here, I've got to do this for the sake of my family."

He told the newspaper that he would leave Washington to return to Texas and that he had first suggested the idea of leaving a year ago.

I can't wait to see the reaction of the wild-eyed Democrats to this news.

Rove is leaving of his own accord, and won't be frog-marched out of the White House in leg irons.

Oh, it will not be a happy day for some.

Dems plan to hunt Rove when he leaves

Karl Rove may be leaving the White House at the end of August, but Democrats on Capitol Hill still want to see him testify on at least one issue -- the firing last year of nine U.S. attorneys ? and possibly more.

Rove was subpoenaed by the Senate Judiciary Committee last month to testify on what he knew about the prosecutor purge, and when he knew it. Citing executive privilege, the White House refused to make Rove available for public questioning, although White House counsel Fred Fielding did offer House and Senate Democrats a chance to talk to Rove about the firings, provided it was in private, no transcript was kept and the House and Senate Judiciary committees agreed not to subpoena him or any other top aides afterward.
