Gee, it almost seems as if Media Matters and the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee are one and the same.

We’re pretty torn up about the announcement that Fox News' Glenn Beck Program is going off the air.

This would almost be amusing if they knew didn't beclown themselves by misspelling conspiracy and oligarchy.

DNC Celebrates 50 Days of Hopenchange, Issues Release Obsessing on Rush Limbaugh

By my count the name Limbaugh appears nine times in a single press release, ostensibly designed to promote all the joy King Obama and the Democrat royalty have deigned to shower upon us.

I suspect they're not done yet with this pathetic Rush Limbaugh obsession.

In the last seven weeks, President Obama and the Democrats in Congress have provided health care to 11 million children by expanding SCHIP, promoted equality in the workplace by passing the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, lifted Bush-era restrictions on life-saving stem cell research, and passed an economic jobs and recovery plan that will save or create 3.5 million jobs while fixing our schools, putting America on the path to energy independence, and laying the foundation for long-term growth in the 21st Century.

Unfortunately, instead of joining the President in finding practical solutions to the challenges facing our country, Republicans in Washington have chosen to follow Rush Limbaugh's obstructionist politics every step of the way. Almost every single Republican in Washington voted against the Presidents' jobs and economic recovery plan, and the Chairman of the Republican National Committee even suggested he would support primary opponents for the three Republicans who voted for it. The bills to expand SCHIP and promote wage equality passed on largely party lines, and all Republican leaders in both chambers of Congress are resisting the President's stem cell plan. In fact, just yesterday one key House Republican admitted that his Party is more interested in bringing down Democrats' poll ratings than in passing real efforts to address the challenges facing our country. And, during the debate over the President's jobs and economic recovery plan one House Republican Leader, Eric Cantor of Virginia, told the Washington Post the Republican approach to the Obama plan was "just saying no."

"While President Obama has spent his first 50 days in office working to address the challenges facing America's working families, Republicans are more interested in saying no and driving down poll numbers," said Democratic National Committee Communications Director Brad Woodhouse. "Instead of joining Democrats in supporting the President's economic recovery plans, Republicans in Congress have chosen to follow Rush Limbaugh by becoming the party of no. Americans want leaders who will work together to confront the challenges we face. When Congress debates the President's budget, Republicans should stop following Rush Limbaugh and instead help the President create jobs, fix our schools, reform our health care system, make America energy independent, and lay the foundation for long-term growth in the 21st Century."

Shocker: RNC Holds Huge Money Advantage Over Democrats

Go figure. All we've heard is doom and gloom about the GOP's chances this fall and what a cash cow Barack Obama is. But Obama and John McCain basically raised the same amount of money in May and now word comes the GOP holds a massive edge over the DNC.

Hmm. Maybe they have a strategy after all.

Led by chairman Mike Duncan, the Republican National Committee ended May with 13 times more money in the bank than its Democratic counterpart, and raised five times as much money in the same time frame.

As The Times' campaign finance guru Dan Morain points out, the sums are significant as presumptive Republican nominee Sen. John McCain squares off against the far more richly-funded Sen. Barack Obama for the last 136 days of the general election campaign.

Based on the numbers so far, the Republican Party appears poised to act as the financial equalizer in the fall campaign. The RNC disclosed that it ended May with $53.5 million in the bank, compared to $3.9 million for the Democratic National Committee, which is headed by Howard Dean.

Thanks to the continuing popularity and fundraising attraction of President Bush, the RNC continued to vastly out-raise the Democratic party, amassing $24.4 million just in May.

Of that, it raised $7.1 million in small donations of $200 or less, the so-called unitemized receipts. The RNC raised more in small increments than the DNC’s total take in May of $4.8 million.

Looks like Democrat sugar daddy George Soros will have to pump more millions into their coffers.

This also makes Howard Dean look incredibly inept. In a year Democrats are alleged to hold huge advantages, he's been outraised by $50 million?
