Top Democrat on Brown: 'He Does Have a Certain Wackadoo Quotient'

So nice to see Democrats taking their humiliating defeat last night with the class we've come to expect from them. Here's New York Democrat Congressman Anthony Weiner lashing out wildly in every direction while appearing with Don Imus this morning. Just soak in some of these choice cuts. On healthcare:

"People didn't understand what we were trying to do"

Translation: Americans are stupid and were duped by this guy in a pick-up truck.

On Coakley:

"She wasn't a great candidate"

That might be an understatment, especially when this follows:

"She was the worst candidate of the last 15 years..."

The worst candidate that the unions, DNC, DSCC spent millions on, as well as forfeiting what little credibility Obama has by appearing for her.

Back to those stupid Americans:

"Most Americans don't realize what we're trying to do..."

Yeah, well when you're holding meetings in secret and refuse to televise them, that might hold some weight. But the fact is, Mr. Weiner, we realize exactly what you're trying to do and that's why Brown won.

And classy as ever, he insults Brown before he can even get to DC:

"He does have a certain wackadoo quotient..."

Stay classy, Democrats.

Weiner ends by saying Democrats can't ignore the results and be arrogant about their position. Really? Do they act any other way?

Imus Explains 'Racial' Remark, Proceeds to Impugn Police: 'They Shoot Blacks for No Reason'

By now you've probably heard about the latest Don Imus mess concerning purported racial remarks over Dallas Cowboys cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones, who apparently wants to be called Adam Jones now, making a clean break from his criminal past. In what sounds like a script written by Al Sharpton, Imus offers a very weak explanation.

He did it again.

Shock jock Don Imus landed in hot water yesterday after making another on-air racial crack, implying suspended NFL star Adam "Pacman" Jones' criminal record is no surprise considering he's African-American.

But he later claimed he was misunderstood.

"He's been arrested six times since being drafted by Tennessee in 2005," sports anchor Warner Wolf said of Jones.

"What color is he?" Imus asked a clearly surprised Wolf.

"He's African-American," the normally animated Wolf said softly.

"Well, there you go. Now we know," the I-Man shot back.

But Imus insisted in a statement released last night, "I meant that he was being picked on because he was black."

So I listened to the beginning of his show this morning and this is exactly the direction he went, though it sure seems to me like he dug himself a bigger hole, not that the media noticed.

He again offered the flimsy defense that Jones was being picked on because he was black, disregarding Jones' long criminal past. If you want the details, go here. Obviously, the clueless Imus is blissfully unaware of the well-chronicled past of this punk and this morning claimed "I'm sure he's a good kid," inferring that just because he's black he's a target for police.

Even worse, Imus claimed ""There's no reason to arrest this kid six times. Maybe he did something once. Everybody does something once," he said.

Maybe?

C'mon, you can do better than that.

I'm sure his boss Sharpton will weigh in later. He'll probably thank him for properly reciting his script.

Update: I knew I heard this part correctly, but waited until there was an actual media account quoting it. For some strange reason, this explosive quote didn't make it into the wire accounts:

Imus went on to say, "they shoot blacks for no reason. We know about that in New York City. I mean, We already understand all this...Nobody, no white man with a radio or television program has had more discussions about race relations since December 3rd than I have. ... We talk about it all the time."

In case Imus is unaware, if he's referring to the Sean Bell case, the police (two of whom were black), were found not guilty in that case.

Imus can hold all the sermons on race that he'd like, but saying the police "shoot blacks for no reason" is contemptible.

Like I said, Sharpton couldn't have scripted it any better.

Still, isn't it curious how the wore accounts left this part out of their story?

Imus Returns ... With "Black Texas NY Jew"

Radio talker Don Imus debuted this morning on WABC radio 770 in New York and has a new partner.

The black sidekick joining shock jock Don Imus on his return to the airwaves today is an Oxford-educated Texas cowgirl whose career has ranged from broadcast journalism to stand-up comedy, sources told The Post.

Karith Foster, a Harlem resident who grew up outside Dallas, was brought on by Imus to ease tension stirred up by his racist comment about the Rutgers women's basketball team, which got him booted in April, sources said.

Foster was raised in upscale Plano, Texas, which she describes on her Web site as having “the ethnic diversity of a Klan rally."

Funeral for a Word

This may well be one of the dumbest spectacles to come along in some time.

Holding symbolic funerals to demonstrate the end of a racially discriminatory practice is common practice for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People when they begin a campaign. In the 1960s, the NAACP held a funeral for the segregationist Jim Crow policies in the South, and most recently held a funeral for voter apathy.

"The funeral for the 'n-word' has been part of the NAACP national programming for the last several months," said the group's spokesman Richard McIntire.

He said the first one was held at the Mid-Atlantic regional conference in Chattanooga, Tenn., followed by a second at the New England regional conference in Hartford, Conn.

The campaign emerged after radio personality Don Imus made disparaging remarks about the Rutgers women's basketball team.

They're going to milk this Imus thing in perpetuity, apparently.

Here's a novel idea: How about holding a funeral for the NAACP, a far-left organization which has long ago outlived its usefulness?

CBS Suspends New York Shock Jocks for Racially Charged Radio Prank

Still recovering from the Don Imus scandal, CBS Radio suspended two local shock jocks after they twice broadcast a racially charged prank call to employees at a Chinese restaurant.

The hosts of the daily morning show, WFNY-FM's "The Dog House With JV and Elvis," have been suspended indefinitely without pay, CBS Radio spokeswoman Karen Mateo told The New York Times in an e-mail Monday. One of the hosts, Jeff Vandergrift, apologized on Monday's show, she said.

Local chapters of the Organization of Chinese Americans, an advocacy group, released a statement Sunday protesting the segment. By Monday, California state Sen. Leland Yee and others joined the campaign.

In the segment, broadcast on April 5 — a day after the infamous Imus comment on CBS — and again last week, a caller to a Chinese restaurant intersperses an order for takeout with lewd language.

The caller tells one female employee he wants to come to the restaurant to see her naked and refers to a part of her body as "hot, Asian, spicy." The caller also attempts to order "shrimp flied lice."

I've never even heard of these guys, but should they be bounced for anything, it's lame humor even Beavis and Butthead would eschew.

In those prank-filled days of my youth, long before caller ID, most people would simply hang up on crank calls.

Now it's earth-shattering news.

Pantsuit and the Racist

If you had any doubt the Democrats are beholden to the racist Al Sharpton, this should put those doubts to rest. Looks like love to me.

Appearing with the Rev. Al Sharpton, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton made an impassioned plea yesterday to become the first woman president as she urged women to wage a campaign against media outlets that denigrate them.

"I am proud to be a woman running for president. And I hope that by my winning, other young girls and women can think about how they keep going, what barriers they break through," Clinton said to rousing applause during a women's luncheon at the Sheraton New York Hotel sponsored by Sharpton's National Action Network.

Clinton praised Rutgers University basketball coach Vivian Stringer and players for challenging radio shock jock Don Imus, who was fired after calling them "nappy-headed ho's."

It's so refreshing to get away from the minor stories like the Virginia Tech massacre and get back to the real issues, like Don Imus. Just one problem with Mrs. Clinton jumping on the Imus story after two weeks. The players have had enough.

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton finally dropped by Rutgers to meet with the school's women's basketball coach -- but the players themselves skipped the half-hour meeting, citing their studies and Imus fatigue.

Good for them. It appears they've had enough exploitation.

Amateur Hour for Obama

Perhaps we need to impose a seven-day waiting period on politicians before they're allowed to make idiotic comments following tragic events.

Such legislation may have spared Barack Obama the incredibly dumb statements uttered just hours after the Virginia Tech massacre, as noted in this report.

The Senator described a culture in which "the violence of children and communities" is ignored, working class jobs are outsourced overseas, and foreign policies are put into place favoring military responses.

Obama also referenced comments radio host Don Imus made last week about the Rutgers University women's basketball team.

"There's a lot of different forms of violence in our society, and so much of it is rooted in our incapacity to recognize ourselves in each other," Obama said to raucous applause. "Last week obviously had to do with Imus and the verbal violence that was directed at women who were role models for all of us."

Obama's harshest criticisms were reserved for current U.S. foreign policy that he felt implicitly said "the children in Darfur are somehow less than the children here," in addition to hammering home his contention that diplomatic means of settling foreign disputes have been given the back-burner in light of "the belief that somehow we can impose our wills on each other."

Obama called on Americans to mobilize and address a health care system "bankrupting our government" and families across the country; an education system that "despite the slogan is leaving too many children behind;" energy policies that are adversely changing climates across the globe and "leaving us to send $800 million a day to some of the most hostile nations on Earth;" and "a war that should've never been authorized or waged."

This is the sheer idiocy one expects from the Huffington Post, not a candidate for President (ok, well maybe except for Dennis Kucinich).

The Don Imus affair hadn't been milked enough, we had to drag it into this story? $800 million a day to hostile nations? What the hell is he babbling about?

The Real Reason Imus Was Fired

That whole Rutgers thing that was blown totally out of all proportion? Beautiful smokescreen, Rove. Bet you didn't know Don Imus was about to reveal the secrets behind 9/11.

At first, I thought this was satire, but apparently it's not.

When Liberals Eat Their Own

Rich Lowry notes how liberals always gave Don Imus a free pass, until now. In typical fashion, they're running for the tall grass like the cowards they are.

Don Imus has to wonder where all his friends went. Just yesterday, his radio/TV show was the favorite venue of the journalistic and political elite, who delighted - or pretended to delight - in his ribald comments. Today, most of them appear shocked that Imus was ever given a show.

The unedifying Imus controversy is almost entirely a liberal conflagration, a perfect bonfire of the profanities: with journalists and politicians caught out ignoring their own standards of political correctness; with left-wing grievance-meisters doing their grim work on the mainstream media's favorite shock jock; with the culture of victimology running its ritualistic course. Armed only with the dubious loyalty of his frequent guests, Imus didn't stand a chance.

Byron York discusses what's next on the docket for the goons who dispatched Don Imus.

Yes, they just love free speech.

In recent days Brock, who once described Clarence Thomas accuser Anita Hill as “a bit slutty,” has been one of the leading voices condemning radio host Don Imus for his description of the Rutgers University women’s basketball team as “nappy-headed hos.” Now that Imus has been fired from his radio and television programs, Brock is calling for similar campaigns against a number of conservatives in talk radio and television, including Rush Limbaugh, Bill O’Reilly, Neil Boortz, and Glenn Beck. “It is our hope that [the Imus matter] will begin a broader conversation about the responsibility that news corporations, journalists, and media figures have to the American public,” Brock wrote Thursday. “This is an opportunity for the media to truly raise the bar to a higher standard and return to the fundamentals of journalism.”

For Brock and others, that “opportunity” could involve new government regulation. After the Imus affair, former Democratic presidential candidate Al Sharpton said on CNN, “The question becomes whether or not we are going to have a regulatory policy that goes based on how contrite someone behaves or whether or not they step over the line. Are we going to have policy, or are we going to say, ‘If you say you’re sorry or even convince us you are sorry, policy’s out the window?’”

Without changes in the government regulatory structure, Sharpton argued, “The next guy can do the same thing and use the precedent of Don Imus to say, ‘I can’t be punished.’”

These arbiters of who can say what are traveling down a slippery slope, and if they think those they now have their sights set on are going to be as hapless as Imus, they're in for a rude awakening.

Piling on Imus

I have little use for Don Imus, but this has reached the vaunted feeding frenzy level the liberals always love to invoke. How ironic they're doing it to one of their own. Really though, does this deserve the coverage it's getting? Imagine if this guy actually had some ratings?

Wait until they find out that just by the Rutgers campus there are two roads named Hoes Lane and Old Hoes Lane.

Never one to be outdone, The Pantsuit chimes in a week late, right after The Prophet. As if she'd ever do a live, unscripted interview.

Ann Coulter has Ho Ho Ho, Merry Imus!

The only person happier than Larry Birkhead about the big announcement that he is the father of Anna Nicole Smith's baby is Don Imus. By the way, what's the word for a woman who gives birth to a child of uncertain paternity?

English speakers in America need a rule book to tell us what people can say what words when, and under which set of circumstances. The rule book will be longer than the Patriot Act and will require weekly updates as new words and circumstances are added. Perhaps a Nasdaq-style ticker would be more efficient.

Depending on which TV show you tune into, what Imus said was wrong because: (1) His show goes out on FCC-regulated airwaves; (2) he regularly interviews people like Sens. John Kerry, John McCain and Joe Biden; (3) he spoke at the White House Correspondents' Dinner a few years ago; or (4) he's not black.

Meeting of the Morons

I haven't bothered wasting time on Don Imus and his idiotic comments last week, but earlier today he really dug himself a hole and then later did a radio spot with the racist thug Al Sharpton.

Don Imus lashed out at the Rev. Al Sharpton and the chairwoman of the congressional black caucus today, telling them: "I can't get any place with you people!"

The besieged radio shock jock had spent most of his syndicated morning radio show apologizing for calling Rutgers women's basketball players "nappy-headed hos" last week.

Imus' contrition campaign skidded off the road in a horrific foot-in-mouth crash on Sharprton's [sic] radio show a few hours later.

Hot Air has video of his spot with Sharpton. Meanwhile, calls for his firing continue.

James E. Harris, president of the New Jersey chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, demanded Sunday that Imus "resign or be terminated immediately."

Allison Gollust, a spokeswoman for MSNBC, said the network considers Imus' comments "deplorable" and was reviewing the matter.

Karen Mateo, a spokeswoman for CBS Radio - Imus' employer and the owner of his New York radio home, WFAN-AM - said the company was "disappointed" in Imus' actions and characterized his comments as "completely inappropriate."

The low-rated MSNBC is probably reveling in the attention, considering some of the addlebrained morons they employ in their "news" division.

UPDATE: He's been suspended by MSNBC.
