Hamas Has That Tingly Feeling: 'Abu Hussain! Palestine Loves You!!!'

The American people have roundly rejected Barack Obama and the Democrats, but those charming folks from Hamas are sending their love. Can you imagine the reaction from the left if some evil right-wing bloggers Photo-shopped and image like this? Instead there's silence.
"Abu Hussain! Palestine loves you!!!"

This slogan, in English, appears on a poster and other products produced by the Palestinian Hamas movement and put on sale in Gaza. Yesterday, it adorned the front pages of several leading Arab dailies.

The "Abu Hussain" is President Obama. The poster pictures him wearing the signature Arab headgear, the kaffiyeh.

That the most radical Palestinian faction has declared its love for the president may be bad news for the stalled Middle East peace talks, which Obama has promised to help restart before the end of the year.

According to its charter, Hamas wants to eliminate Israel and to replace it with a single Palestinian state covering the territory of the Jewish state and the territories it occupied in 1967.

Iran, Libya and a range of radical Islamist movements, including al Qaeda, support Hamas' policy, sometimes known as the "one-state solution." But Obama has said he supports President George W. Bush's two-state policy.

If Hamas' declaration of love for Obama is based on a misunderstanding, the problem may lie in Obama's ambiguous approach to the Arab-Israeli conflict.

When Bush said he wanted a two-state solution, he saw the realities on the ground as the starting point. Obama and his special emissary, George Mitchell, however, have talked about a return to the pre-1967 "borders" as demanded by several UN resolutions.

But there were no borders in 1967 -- only cease-fire lines drawn at the end of the 1948 war. And there was no Palestine to have any borders -- the cease-fire lines separated Israel on the one hand from Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria on the other. Indeed, a return to those cease-fire lines would be tantamount to recreating a situation that had already led to two wars.

Obama also drops hints that he means to be tough with Israel. To advertise his toughness, he makes occasional statements about Jewish settlements. Yet this puts the whole exercise on a different trajectory, with talks focused on the settlements rather than the core issue -- the creation of a Palestinian state.

Pressuring Israel may look good to "Abu Hussain" and his Hamas admirers. But it may reduce the chances of agreement on the creation of a Palestinian state.
Obama's Mideast policy will inevitably fail (like everything else he touches) since he and his State Department refuse to acknowledge that those who are declaring their love for him want nothing more than the destruction of Israel. Why would they not be emboldened when the "leader of the free world" criticizes Israel while pandering in front of an audience in the most populous Muslim nation on earth?

On the upside, at least Obama finally recognizes a great country and the sacrifices their soldiers have made.
Not that Obama doesn't appreciate the sacrifices of veterans. He absolutely does. Just ask the Indonesians.

He was in Jakarta for their Heroes Day this week to honor their veterans "who have sacrificed on behalf of this great country."

"This great country," of course, being Indonesia.

"When my stepfather was a boy, he watched his own father and older brother leave home to fight and die in the struggle for Indonesian independence," Obama told the audience.

And the White House wonders why so many people think there is something foreign about this guy.

In the same speech, Obama gave voice to a harsh criticism he has heard about freely elected governments.

"Today, we sometimes hear that democracy stands in the way of economic progress," he said.

The shocking statement raises the question: Where has Obama heard this fatuous claim and with whom has he been talking politics?
Maybe he was having a seance with that guy over his shoulder in the Hamas poster.

We leave with this this clip from last night's Hannity. Says it all (via GWP).

'We Can’t Say for Sure What is Going On, But it is Clandestine and Secretive'

Something secretive going on between Iran,. Syria and Venezuela? You don't say. Don't worry though. The crack team of Obama, Napolitano and Clinton are on the job.
A Venezuelan airline's “mystery” flight that shuttled among the capitals of three of the world’s most terror-friendly nations — Venezuela, Syria and Iran — has abruptly canceled its regularly scheduled departures amid accusations that it was used primarily to transport spies, terrorists and lethal cargo among the pariah counties.

“I am sorry, but we are no longer flying to Tehran and I do not know when the flights will resume. It was a flight that left Caracas on Tuesdays, but it no longer does,” Jenny Gil Romero, who handles international departures for Conviasa, the national airline that operates the flight, said in a message to FOX News.

Messages to the airline seeking further information went unanswered.

Romero's comments came in response to FOXNews.com's efforts to buy tickets on the regularly scheduled, 48-hour round trip from Caracas to Damascus to Tehran, then back again.

Intelligence analysts with both the CIA and Israel said that, despite the listing of the flight as a regular commercial route and a code share with Iran air -- Flight IR744 is also Flight VO3744 -- there was no way that anyone could buy a ticket and travel without being vetted by the Venezuelan or Iranian government. And without passport controls, flight manifests and other documents, it meant some of the world's most dangerous men could travel without fear of being uncovered.

Curiously, unlike most other bookings on the national airline, calls for reservations on this particular flight were routed to a cell phone in Argentina, rather than to Conviasa's regular service in Caracas.

The Venezuelan ambassador to the United States had defended the flights as recently as two weeks ago in response to criticism in a State Department report that cited the flight’s questionable route and procedures. Messages left at the Venezuelan embassy's press office and the ambassador's office were not returned, and a list of questions submitted to the embassy's press office was not answered.

For the past three years, every other Tuesday, Flight VO3744 would roll out to a secluded loading platform at Simon Bolivar Airport in Caracas. Shrouded from public view and unencumbered by the normal exit procedures, a select passenger list would board the flight.

Over the next 48 hours, according to Western intelligence agencies, Venezuelan opposition figures and a former Iran-based spy for the CIA, the flight would carry illicit, lethal cargoes -- such as explosives and possibly radioactive materials -- and provide safe passage to terrorists, spies, weapons experts, senior Iranian intelligence operatives and members of both Hezbollah and Hamas.

Reza Kahlili, the pseudonym for an Iranian who the CIA has confirmed once spied for the United States as a member of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, told FoxNews.com these "special flights" have been "instrumental in creating an Iranian dominated worldwide terror network that now reaches the United States." He said the flights were used to expand Iran’s efforts to create a base of operations in the Western Hemisphere.

Peter Brookes, a former Defense Department analyst and CIA employee now with the Heritage Foundation, said there was a steady stream of elite Al Quds officers from Iran’s Revolutionary Guard who were transported to Venezuela aboard the flight and took up positions in the Latin American country’s intelligence service.

“We can’t say for sure what is going on, but it is clandestine and secretive,” he said.
By the end of the day Hugo Chavez will be parroting Media Matters in denunciations of Fox News.

'There's No Good Money in Teaching'

Well, I guess if there's no good money to be made as a New York City teacher then you turn to selling arms to Hamas and Hezbollah. Seems like an easy way to supplement your income.
He's graduated to gun running.

A former Stuyvesant HS teacher was busted last night for selling high-powered weapons to undercover operatives he thought were connected to Middle East terror organizations, The Post has learned.

Theophilus Burroughs wet his pants when he was slapped with cuffs at a Bronx warehouse, where he was arrested in a sting operation, law-enforcement sources said. The seats on a van waiting to transport him to the 49th Precinct had to be lined with plastic.

The arrest caps a yearlong investigation that saw Burroughs allegedly negotiate the sale of firearms -- including AK-47s, assault rifles with scopes and .40-caliber guns -- during "deals" with informants in which he praised Hamas and Hezbollah and suggested killing cops and Jews, sources said.

"There's no good money in teaching," Burroughs once griped.

Burroughs, 49, a former Marine from Newark, was on unpaid medical leave from the Department of Education.

He showed up at the Westchester Square warehouse expecting to collect a cool $10,000 for a pair of night-vision goggles, two bulletproof vests and 200,000 counterfeit cigarette stamps, a source said.

Burroughs was instead hauled away by city and state tax agents, and investigators from the Bronx DA's Office.

He faces a slew of charges, including weapons possession and forgery, the source said.

Burroughs began his teaching career as a sub in 1992, and taught music at Stuyvesant in 2002 and 2003.

He went on unpaid medical leave from a Brooklyn high school in September 2009 -- around the time he first went to the Bronx warehouse, where he allegedly bought hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of untaxed cigarettes from informants, sources said.

But he soon set his sights on a more deadly deal, allegedly proposing firearm sales on his third visit.

He later referred to Hamas as "my people" and declared, "Hezbollah good, Hezbollah strong," a source said.

On another occasion, the informants gave him a Koran and said they wanted to do "something big." He suggested they blow up a police station, a police car or the Jewish Community Center on Amsterdam Avenue at West 76th Street, the source said.
Naturally he's still on the NYC payroll, yet to be fired. He should be happy he's not a NJ Transit worker who ripped out pages of the Koran.

When Sarcastic Headlines Become Reality

When we jokingly referred to Palestinian terrorists as activists the other day we had no idea we'd be setting the standard for the lamestream media. It wasn't intended to make light of the horrific acts perpetrated by the Islamic monsters, rather than highlight how these bottom-feeding scum are viewed by the media.

So this morning I heard a CBS Radio News report where the words "Hamas activists" were used and nearly drove off the road. Yet it appears to be in widespread use.

On cue, here are some headlines this morning:

Palestinian forces arrest dozens of Hamas activists

Video: News Update: Palestinian security forces arrest more than 100 Hamas activists

In a story from Bloomberg News (surely King Mikey has issued a style mandate, no?):
Palestinian security services arrested about 150 Hamas activists in the West Bank after the settler killings, Hamas said in an e-mailed statement today.
Depressing. Check how many hits show up when you search for Hamas activists.

Just a refresher: Hamas is a designated as a terrorist group by our own State Department. Ironically, that same state department is paying for the Ground Zero Mosque imam to travel the world on our dime, the same guy who refuses to condemn Hamas.

Of course when it comes to mischaraterizing mainstream conservative group, the media wastes no time calling them extremists.

Obama's Partners in Peace Execute Two 'Israeli Spies'

Sure, why stay friends with Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel when we can cast our lot with this lovely crew?
THE Hamas rulers of Gaza have executed two Palestinians convicted of collaborating with Israel despite objections from human rights groups.

The two were executed by a firing squad last night, said Samir Zakut of the Palestinian Al-Misan human rights group.

Police would not allow journalists to enter the Al-Shifa hospital, but medical sources there confirmed the two bodies were delivered during the night.

The Hamas-run government did not immediately confirm the executions, but said last month it would carry them out.

"The death penalty will be implemented for (Israeli) agents who have been sentenced to death, regardless of the position of rights groups that reject these kinds of sentences," Hamas interior minister Fathi Hammad said at the time.

Hamas: Assassinated Operative Shouldn't Have Booked Trip Online

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip — A Hamas leader assassinated during a visit to Dubai last month exposed himself to attack when he breached security protocol by talking about his trip over the phone and making hotel reservations on the Internet, the militant Islamic group said Saturday.

The methodical stalking and killing of Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in a luxury hotel room — widely been blamed on Israel's Mossad spy agency — has put Hamas on the defensive over purported security lapses.

The new details emerged as the case has spread across several continents with investigators probing possible credit card links to U.S.-based banks and European officials grilling Israeli envoys over fraudulent passports.

Hamas legislator Salah Bardawil said al-Mabhouh unwittingly led his attackers to him by openly planning his travels — a move that would make him easily traceable if he were already under surveillance.

"Al-Mabhouh called his family by phone before he traveled to Dubai and told them of his plan to stay in a specific hotel, and he booked his travel through the Internet. This undoubtedly created a security breach in the movements of al-Mabhouh," Bardawil told reporters in Gaza.

Al-Mabhouh's brother, Fayek, denied the phone leak, saying the slain operative didn't reveal any details regarding his reservations or other travel plans.

"I am the last one who received a call from Mahmoud," the brother told The Associated Press in an interview. "He didn't tell me that he was going to Dubai and he never told any one of the family the details of his work or his movements."

Israel has declined to confirm or deny Mossad's involvement, offering only vague statements that deflect the issue amid international pressure over the alleged use of European passports by Israeli agents.

Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon said Saturday there was no evidence that Israel was involved in the killing.

"I don't predict a crisis with European allies because there is nothing that ties Israel to the assassination," Danny Ayalon's office said. "Britain, France and Germany all share our interests in the fight against global terror, therefore there will be no crisis, instead our relations will continue to deepen."

Dubai police have blamed Mossad and named 11 suspects who apparently traveled to Dubai on European passports. Two Palestinians also are being held in Dubai on suspicion they helped the assassins.

The assassination also triggered accusations between the rival factions Hamas and Fatah, which have long competed for influence in the Palestinian territories. Gaza's Hamas rulers and the moderate Fatah party that governs the West Bank traded allegations that members of each group collaborated with the spy agency but both hold Israel responsible for the assassination itself.

Interpol has put the 11 suspects on its top watch list but said those whose identities were stolen should be able to travel as usual though may face more scrutiny.

The alleged killers also used fraudulent passports to open five credit cards accounts through U.S.-based banks, said the official, who has close knowledge of the investigation. The official gave no additional details, and spoke on condition of anonymity in line with standing policy

Israel says al-Mabhouh played a major part in smuggling advanced rockets from Iran to Palestinian militants in Gaza. He was also long wanted by Israel for his role in the 1989 kidnapping and killing of two Israeli soldiers on leave.

Sgt. Avi Sasportas was abducted outside the coastal city of Ashkelon, near the Gaza Strip, and shot to death in 1989. Cpl. Ilan Saadon was abducted the same year while hitchhiking just north of Gaza. His body was found in 1996 buried under a coastal road south of Tel Aviv.

At least seven of the 11 suspected assassins identified by Dubai police share names with Israelis who also carry European citizenship. But most of the identities appear to be stolen and the Israelis claim they are victims of identity theft.
William Ayers and wife & fellow former Weather Underground terrorist fugitive Bernardine "Dig it! First they killed those pigs and then they put a fork in their bellies. Wild!" Dohrn were unavailable for comment.

UN One Step Closer To Prosecuting Israel For War Crimes

The UN Human Rights Council approved a report on the recent war between Israel and Hamas which was highly critical of Israel's actions. Of course. Self defense is a bad thing nowadays. The vote was 25 to 6 and I haven't been able to find any information detailing the vote by country yet, but I can just about guarantee you this was strict Middle East versus Israel vote given the makeup of the board. The council is comprised of 47 members and we do know England is one of the 11 countries which abstained. Doing the math, however, that does not add up. Thirty-one countries voted, 11 abstained that leaves five unaccounted for.
The council approved the resolution after two days of debate over a controversial report on last winter’s war that was written by Judge Richard Goldstone. The study, which condemns Israel’s conduct, theoretically paves the way for international prosecution of Israelis and Palestinians accused of war crimes.
C'mon, news folks. Can't you even do simple math?

I wonder how the U.S. voted if it voted? Did Obama even bother to vote present? You do remember he is now a member of this council? Wouldn't it sort of be hypocritical to make a big production out of joining this council and then skip out on the votes just like he did as a state senator, a U.S. Senator and now, it appears, as President. Barry, one day you are going to have to stop running. The issues are going to overtake you and soon there is not going to be anyone left to blame or throw under the bus.

Sure....Let's Talk To Hamas

Three years after being kidnapped by Hamas terrorists, numerous previous prisoner releases all meant to appease the bloodthirsty Hamas thugs and we have yet another display of their depravity.

Hamas says they will release a video tape of Gilad Shalit in exchange for 20 incubators of jihadism. What a deal!!! They get to continue to torment the Shalit family in yet another trade for nothing.

You want your brood mares, come get them. If I was Israel I would give nothing else up except for the return of Gilad, since you are saying he is alive. Hamas is playing the Israelis like a puppet, backed up by their enablers in the west.
After more than three years of waiting, the parents of the captive Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit have been told they will receive concrete proof that he is alive.
This Friday a videotape of Gilad Shalit will be released in exchange for 20 Palestinian women who are currently in Israeli jails, according to a deal announced by Israel and Hamas militants.

And after this gesture Hamas will simply make yet another demand, and another, until one day this young man no longer serves there purposes and then what?

Alleged Anti-Semite Former President Says You Are Racist

Coming from a man who appears to harbor his own prejudices, having Jimmy Carter accuse you of racism is like eating a dozen jelly-filled donuts every night at bed time and then blaming Dunkin Donuts for being overweight.

Remember this little incident from about a year ago.
Fourteen members of a leadership group under former President Carter's think tank resigned Thursday over concerns that Carter's book on the Middle East does not represent "the Jimmy Carter we came to respect and support."

The members of the 200-member Board of Councilors, a leadership advisory group founded in 1987, join a longtime Carter aide, Jewish groups and lawmakers who have publicly criticized the former president's best-selling book "Palestine: Peace, Not Apartheid" for inaccuracies and distorting history.
Carter has never been a friend of Israel and there is certainly a certain level of anti-semitism that taints his perspective.

Of course, traveling to the Middle East to negotiate with Hamas doesn't help either.
The resolution, sponsored by Reps. Mark Kirk, R-Ill., and Shelley Berkley, D-Nev., was intended as a warning shot at Carter and follows letters from more than 50 congressmen urging the former president to abandon his visit to the Hamas head, who lives in exile in Syria.

In the face of such criticism, Carter traveled to Cairo to meet with Mahmoud Zahar, who controls Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip. Zahar wrote an op-ed in the Washington Post Thursday decrying the "hideous straitjacket of apartheid" in Gaza and compared Israel to Nazi Germany.
I would also like to thank the goober farmer for once again furthering the stereotype of southerners as nothing but toothless, tobacco-spitting bigots. Everyone, it seems, but himself. Having a native of Georgia going around reassuring the slobbering masses who are pushing the theme that anyone who is opposed to the socialism of America are racists, and using the hook of how he is one of us so you can believe him, is despicable.

So tell me, Jimmy, how did you escape the bigotry of growing up in the south? Are you the only one who managed to escape the taint of racism? Why are charges of racism against those from the south any more credible then saying those same things about somebody from New England or the midwest?

My advice to Mr. Carter: Shut up. You have a golden opportunity to shed the title of Worst President Ever, unless that's something you are proud of.

In the last couple of days we have had a few of the elected elite class from Georgia running around throwing the racism tag around, and call me a conspiracy nut or whatever, but it is almost as if a memo went out asking for southern Democrats to push the racism theme. I eagerly await the soundbite from Cynthia McKinney. My representative, David Scott, used his racism card earlier when he got challenged at his health care town hall, which is why I guess it fell to Hank Johnson to play it this time.

Maybe Max Cleland can weigh in too.

Craziness in Ireland: 'Long Live the Taliban'

Some madness in Dublin this past weekend as they held an Al-Aqsa Festival in Dublin.

Seriously. A shame so many on the old sod are sympathetic to this bilge. Sad to say enough Americans are as well. Those folks are typically known as progressives, code word for Democrats.
PRO-HAMAS SPEAKERS at a fundraising event held at the RDS in Dublin at the weekend argued that the recent violence in Gaza, in which more than 1,300 Palestinians were killed, was a “victory” because it put the Middle East conflict back on the international agenda and galvanised Muslims worldwide.

The Al-Aqsa Festival, which was headlined “Gaza Victory: The Road to Al-Quds”, drew hundreds of people to the RDS Concert Hall on Saturday.

The event, organised by the Palestinian Rights Institute – a body established several years ago by Palestinians living in Ireland, was covered by a TV crew from Al Jazeera’s Arabic-language channel.

Speakers included Azzam Tamimi, the Palestinian director of the London-based Institute of Islamic Political Thought, and Sheikh Yousef al Baz, a Muslim cleric from the West Bank.

Speaking in Arabic, Sheikh al Baz said the January conflict between Israel and Hamas had “revived the issue of Palestine throughout the world after it was almost dead”, and it had “restored to every Muslim his honour and dignity”. He argued that the war had proved that “resistance is the only way, and not negotiation”.
Um, are you listening, Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Obama?
Sheikh al Baz’s speech prompted shouts of “Allahu Akbar” from the audience, drawn mostly from the Muslim community. “We supported the jihad and we will do so until Allah grants us victory,” the cleric said. “And that day is not far.”

Pro-Hamas paraphernalia, including DVDs featuring armed Hamas fighters and Sheikh Yassin, the group’s spiritual leader who was assassinated by Israel in 2004, were on sale at the event.

Mr Tamimi, who has written a number of books on Hamas, railed against the US and Europe for insisting that the organisation must meet certain conditions, including recognising Israel’s right to exist, before any engagement occurs.

“Once you recognise Israel, you say to the world that the rape of my country and my people is acceptable,” Mr Tamimi said. “It is a crime against humanity to recognise Israel’s right to exist because that would legitimise the crimes against humanity Israel has committed.”

Had Hamas agreed to meet the conditions laid down by the international community, he said, “they would no longer have my support”.

Hamas, Mr Tamimi argued, was “an alternative to those who sold out” and it “represents our dream” as the “true representative of the Palestinian voice”.

“When the world opposes Hamas, it opposes Palestinian self-determination,” he said, adding that the international community must recognise the “legitimacy Hamas has gained through resistance and elections”.

Branding the EU as “cowards” for not engaging with Hamas, Mr Tamimi added: “Hamas is who the world should be talking to if it is serious about solving the Palestinian issue.”

Later, Mr Tamimi drew applause when he praised insurgents in Iraq and the Taliban in Afghanistan. He said he disagreed with the Taliban’s views on certain matters, but added: “With regard to their attitudes to liberation I say ‘Long live the Taliban’.”
H/T Wilcox.

Apparently Hamas has quite a few friends in high places in Ireland.
The leader of Irish Republican Army-linked Sinn Fein party met with the head of the internationally shunned Hamas government during a two-day visit to Gaza and said he plans to brief President Obama's special Mideast envoy about his contacts.

Gerry Adams, a key player in Northern Ireland's peace process, met with Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh late Wednesday and planned more talks with officials of the Islamic militant group Thursday.

Haniyeh's meeting with Adams, at an undisclosed location in Gaza City, was not announced ahead of time. TV footage from a local news outlet showed Adams sitting in an armchair next to Haniyeh

"We want to help. We support the Palestinian people," Adams said.

Adams told The Associated Press in an interview Wednesday he said he met Obama's special Mideast envoy George Mitchell in Washington last month and told him of his plan to visit Gaza. He said he plans to "brief the Irish government, friends in the U.S., others I deal with internationally, and that would include Sen. Mitchell."
Sickening.

Land of Make Believe: 'Hamas Is Not Getting Any of This Money'

For all the blather about how intelligent the left supposedly is and how Mrs. Clinton and Obama will be projecting smart power, is there anyone alive naive enough to think that by throwing billions at Gaza that Hamas is not going to get their hands on the money? Really, this just insults the intelligence of anyone with a functioning brain.
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said in remarks prepared for delivery that urgent action was needed to turn the Gaza crisis "into an opportunity to move us closer to our shared goals."

She said the goal was to achieve a Palestinian state that would be "a responsible partner, is at peace with Israel and its Arab neighbors, and is accountable to its people."

Clinton plans to pledge $300 million for Gaza reconstruction and $600 million to support the Palestinian Authority's budget shortfalls, economic reforms and security and private sector projects run by the PA.

The West shuns Hamas because it refuses to recognize Israel, renounce violence and commit to interim peace deals with the Jewish state. U.S. State Department spokesman Robert Wood said the money earmarked to Gaza will be channeled through the United Nations and other organizations, but not Hamas.

"Hamas is not getting any of this money," Wood told reporters late on Sunday in Sharm El-Sheikh.
Of course we can trust Hamas to sit idly by while money pours into territory they control. And of course the UN would never secretly funnel money to them, right? Especially when they detest Israel and openly root for the terrorists.

It's like living in the alternate reality where Obama piles trillions upon trillions in spending on us and we're told there are no earmarks when 9000 of them have been identified. We're not supposed to believe what's clear as day right in front of us.

Instead, believe false words from proven liars.

Are Your Ready For Gaza: The Stimulus Package?

On a day when the markets hit a 12-year low, it's probably not a good idea to suggest we're going to pour nearly another billion dollars into Gaza. Of course we'll be told the UN will have oversight (ha ha) and our money won't be going directly to Hamas, but really, is there anyone who believes that?
The United States plans to offer more than $900 million to help rebuild Gaza after Israel's invasion and to strengthen the Western-backed Palestinian Authority, U.S. officials said on Monday.

The money, which needs U.S. congressional approval, will be distributed through U.N. and other bodies and not via the militant group Hamas, which rules Gaza, said one official.

"This money is for Gaza and to help strengthen the Palestinian Authority. It is not going to go to Hamas," said the official, who asked not to be named as Secretary of State Hillary Clinton planned to announce the funding at a donors' conference in Egypt next week.

Neither the United States nor Israel have direct contact with the Islamist Hamas movement which runs Gaza and remains formally committed to the destruction of the Jewish state.

The official said the pledge was a mix of money already earmarked for the Palestinians and some new funding.

"The package is still shaping up," he said, when asked for specifics over how the money would be spent and a breakdown of old and new funding.

In December, the former Bush administration said it would give $85 million to the U.N. agency that provides aid to Palestinian refugees in the West Bank, Gaza, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria.
So we make the leap from $85 to over $900 million in two months?

Wonderful.

So what about that $613 million that was already allegedly pledged?

Of course, since Obama's media handlers tell us he enjoys broad support, I guess nobody will object to handing our money over to terrorists.

Change!

Some might argue the Obama administration doesn't have Israel's best interests in mind.

They'd be right.

John Kerry, Keith Ellison Visit Terrorist Stronghold

Nothing like having a U.S. Senator traipsing around Gaza. Has anyone told this idiot he's not Secretary of State?
U.S. Sen. John Kerry is in the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip as part of a rare visit by American politicians to the area.

The former Democratic presidential nominee says he is in Gaza to see the aftermath of Israel's military offensive there last month. He is not meeting with anyone from Hamas, which the U.S. considers a terrorist group.
To no surprise, one of those Democrats was Muslim Keith Ellison.
US congressmen Brian Baird and Keith Ellison, both Democrats, were in Gaza on Thursday, the first such visit since the Islamist Hamas seized power in the Palestinian territory in June 2007.

The pair visited Izzbet Abed Rabbo, a community in northern Gaza devastated during the deadly 22-day Israeli offensive that ended on January 18.

They also planned to visit a factory and a hospital damaged during the war, Palestinian officials said.

An estimated 14,000 to 20,000 homes and other buildings were damaged or destroyed during the military offensive in which more than 1,300 Palestinians were killed.

The visit is the first by US lawmakers since Hamas, an Islamist movement Washington blacklists as a terrorist organisation, seized control of the Palestinian enclave in June 2007.
Must be great for Hamas having some useful idiots from the United States there for a photo op.

Change! Obama Hands Over $20 Million From U.S. Taxpayers to Hamas

Under the guise of "emergency relief" to the poor Gazans, Barack Obama has decided to fork over $20 million of taxpayer money to the Hamas terror gang. Idiots around the world are throwing money to Gaza, but you know a nickel of it doesn't get spent without going through Hamas, the terrorist organization that runs the hellhole.
The Obama administration on Friday made an emergency contribution of more than $20 million for urgent relief efforts in the Gaza Strip, a day after the United Nations launched a flash appeal for $613 million to help Palestinians recover from Israel's three-week military operation there.

The State Department said President Barack Obama had authorized the use of $20.3 million from the U.S. Emergency Refugee and Migration Assistance Fund for humanitarian assistance to the 1.4 million Palestinians in Gaza.
They pretend this money will be going through the UN, but there will be no accounting for for it and you can bet a good chunk of it will go to the terrorists to buy weapons.

Fisk: Hey, How About a War Crimes Tribunal for the Israelis?

Why not just throw Bush and Cheney in there while you're at it, Bob? This deluded stooge will never escape bizarro world. The poor Hamas terrorists are never at fault. Does Hamas ever stop lobbing rockets at Israel? Of course not. But according to the drooling moron, the Israelis forced them to.
And history was quite forgotten. The Hamas rockets were the result of the food and fuel siege; Israel broke Hamas's own truce on 4 and 17 November. Forgotten is the fact Hamas won the 2006 elections, although Israel has killed a clutch of the victors.

And there'll be little time for the peacemakers of Sharm el-Sheikh to reflect on the three UN schools targeted by the Israelis and the slaughter of the civilians inside. Poor old Ban Ki-moon. He tried to make his voice heard just before the ceasefire, saying Israel's troops had acted "outrageously" and should be "punished" for the third school killing. Some hope. At a Beirut press conference, he admitted he had failed to get a call through to Israel's Foreign Minister to complain.

It was pathetic. When I asked Mr Ban if he would consider a UN war crimes tribunal in Gaza, he said this would not be for him to "determine". But only a few journalists bothered to listen to him and his officials were quickly folding up the UN flag on the table. About time too. Bring back the League of Nations. All is forgiven.
Naturally, Fisk's lunacy inspires the crazies.
Actually, the Israeli cold-blooded murder of innocent civilians and deliberate destruction of Gaza in front of the cameras is worse than the Nazi atrocities of WWII because the Nazi crimes came to light only after WWII. The Israelis are remorseless and cruel despite the daily condemnation by people all over the world. Just imagine, what would the Israelis do if there were no cameras or Internet like WWII?
Worse than the Nazis.

Just sick.

Here's another who should really consider strong medication.
What the Zionist/Israeli government and their military have planned is berserker policy to terrorize and demoralize the Palestinians incarcerated, without trial, in Gaza. All what the world witnessed was planned well in advance, it is entirely intentional, the crimes against the innocent, the crimes against humanity, the crimes against the peace, and every crime of war. Israel is berserker, unfit to sit at any civilized table, the words of berserkers are not fit for considering in civilized council, the honour of berserkers does not exist, to do so would be as to throw pearls to swine. Zionism has become swinish by believing their own lies and propaganda. All those who repeat this set of lies are themselves guilty of crimes against humanity simply by giving aid, support, and comfort to those committing the atrocities. Zionists and Israelis have become heart ugly. End it.
The ugliness goes on and on.
The Nazi Israeli regime was not targeting Hamas only, but was deliberately killing the palestinian. On the contrary, this brutal and criminal war on Gaza made Hamas stronger, and proved how organized and strog Hamas is and the Nazi rgeime could not achieve its evil and criminal goals.
Sick stuff. The folks at the Independent must be proud of themselves.

Hope, Change and Hamas-Linked Radicals

You may recall this creature Ingrid Mattson, who spoke at the Democratic Convention last summer. Well, Barack Obama has apparently taken a shine to this woman, as she'll also be speaking at Obama's inaugural prayer service. Just a slight problem, however.
But in 2007 and as recently as last July, federal prosecutors in Dallas filed court documents linking the Hartford, Conn.-based Islamic society to the group Hamas, which the U.S. considers a terrorist organization.

Neither Mattson nor her organization have been charged. But prosecutors wrote in July that they had "a wide array of testimonial and documentary evidence expressly linking" the group to Hamas and other radical groups.
Change!

Naturally, Obama spokesthings don't want to talk about it.
Linda Douglass, a spokeswoman for Obama's inaugural committee, would not discuss the case or say whether the committee knew about it.

"She has a stellar reputation in the faith community," Douglass said Saturday night.
Apparently also in the terrorist community.

Via LGF links.

Here's who Linda Douglass says has a stellar reputation.
Though Dr. Ingrid Mattson appears moderate, she is insidious precisely because she maintains that facade while steadfastly refusing to criticize radical Islamists, claiming that there is no such thing as Wahhabism and that the term "Islamic terrorism" should not be used in the media. Most shocking of all, though, is how little concern she expressed about suicide bombings in an essay she wrote shortly after 9/11.

At a CNN-sponsored "town hall" forum in October 2001, Mattson — with a straight face — claimed that the radical, Saudi-sponsored form of Islam known as Wahhabism was akin to the Protestant movement in Christianity. Wahhabism "really was analogous to the European protestant reformation," she explained.
Radicals you can believe in.

Israelis Intercept Iranian 'Aid' Ship Bound for Gaza; Free Gaza Kooks Launch Again

Yes, I'm sure it was all just food and medicine. Considering Iran is the chief sponsor of Hamas, I have a sneaking suspicion there may have been more than just "aid" on board.
The Israeli navy intercepted an Iranian ship loaded with medicine, food and clothing destined for Gaza and forced the vessel to Egypt instead, Iran's state television reported Wednesday.

Meanwhile, in a gesture of support with the Palestinians in Gaza, Iran's top leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, issued a religious opinion, or fatwa, declaring the purchase of any Israeli goods or trade with Israeli companies to be forbidden.

Israel's offensive in Gaza, which Palestinian medical officials say has killed more than 940 Palestinians since Dec. 27, has sparked outrage in Iran and throughout the Muslim world. Israel has said it launched its campaign to stop rocket fire aimed at civilians in southern Israeli towns by the militant group Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip. Iran is Hamas' main backer, providing it political and financial support, though Tehran denies sending the organization weapons.
Meanwhile, a boatload of leftist crackpots has once again set sail from Gaza, just begging to be torpedoed.
International activists left Cyprus for Gaza on Wednesday in a renewed bid to deliver about five tons of donated food and medical supplies to the Palestinian territory despite an Israeli naval blockade.

Free Gaza group organizers replaced a faulty generator on their 66-foot (20-meter) Greek-flagged vessel and set sail from Larnaca port with 21 passengers.

The group aborted the trip to Gaza on Monday after rough weather and engine trouble 40 nautical miles (72 kilometers) southwest of Larnaca forced their return.

Bin Laden Joins World Left, Condemns Israel

The dead body formerly known as Osama bin Laden has shockingly issued a call for jihad against Israel for defending themselves against terror attacks. Hmm. This all sounds so familiar. He also sent his regrets he couldn't be marching with his peeps in San Francisco and Manhattan, but the fact he's dead prevents him from doing so.
Osama bin Laden has called for a new jihad over the Israeli offensive in Gaza, through an audio recording posted on Islamist websites in which he questioned America's stomach for the fight.

The authenticity of the recording could not be verified immediately, but it appeared to be a typically provocative message from the al-Qaeda leader, taunting the United States as it prepares to hand the presidential baton from George W Bush to Barack Obama.

"God has bestowed us with the patience to continue the path of jihad for another seven years, and seven and seven years," bin Laden said on the tape dated in the current Islamic month. "The question is, can America continue its war with us for several more decades to come? Reports and evidence would suggest otherwise."
Evidence also suggest you and your boys are gettiing their heads kicked in around the globe.
The tape, entitled A Call for Jihad to Stop the Aggression against Gaza, came as the reported death toll from the 19-day Israeli offensive against Hamas rose to 971. Thirteen Israelis have been killed so far.
...
The bin Laden tape was posted on websites often used by al-Qaeda to propagate their message and the voice resembled previous messages from the al-Qaeda leader. On it, bin Laden also condemned Arab governments for preventing their people from acting to "liberate Palestine".

In his latest message, bin Laden also said: “Our brothers in Palestine, you have suffered a lot . . . the Muslims sympathise with you in what they see and hear. We, the mujahidin, sympathise with you also . . . We are with you and we will not let you down. Our fate is tied to yours in fighting the Crusader-Zionist coalition, in fighting until victory or martyrdom.”
Well, then martyrdom it shall be.

It's a 'Mads' World: Crackpot Norwegian Says Gaza a Lab for New Weapons

This idiot contradicts himself by claming that "Gaza is now being used as a test laboratory for new weapons," while at the same time "having used the weapon in the 2006 Lebanon war and previously in Gaza."

Which is it? Is it new now or in 2006? When have they used these nefaious weapons in Gaza?
ISRAEL is testing a new "extremely nasty" type of weapon in Gaza, two medics charged as they returned home to Norway after spending 10 days working at a hospital in the war-torn Palestinian territory.

"There's a very strong suspicion I think that Gaza is now being used as a test laboratory for new weapons," Mads Gilbert said at Oslo's Gardermoen airport, commenting on the kinds of injuries he and his colleague Erik Fosse had seen while working at the Shifa Hospital in Gaza.

The two medics, who were sent into the war zone by the pro-Palestinian aid organisation NORWAC on December 31, said they had seen clear signs that Dense Inert Metal Explosives (DIME), an experimental kind of explosive, were being used in Gaza.

"This is a new generation of very powerful small explosives that detonates with an extreme power and dissipates its power within a range of five to 10 metres," Mr Gilbert, 61, said.

"We have not seen the casualties affected directly by the bomb because they are normally torn to pieces and do not survive, but we have seen a number of very brutal amputations ... without shrapnel injuries which we strongly suspect must have been caused by the DIME weapons," he said.

The weapon "causes the tissue to be torn from the flesh. It looks very different (from a shrapnel injury). I have seen and treated a lot of different injuries for the last 30 years in different war zones, and this looks completely different", Mr Fosse, 58, said.

"If you are in the immediate (vicinity of) a DIME weapon, it's like your legs get torn off. It's an enormous pressure wave and there is no shrapnel," he explained.

Mr Gilbert also accused Israel of having used the weapon in the 2006 Lebanon war and previously in Gaza, and referred to studies showing wounds from the explosive could cause lethal forms of cancer within just four to six months.
I guess the fact this terrorist stooge works with Hezbollah makes him a fair and nonpartisan news source.

Another Big Lie: Human Rights Watch Claims Israel Is Using White Phosphorus

Funny how a group calling itself Human Rights Watch doesn't care for the humans living in Israel who are a never-ending target of these terrorist monsters. Yet all they need is a weak claim from some doctor in Gaza and they make this allegation.
Human Rights Watch said Sunday that Israel's military has fired artillery shells with the incendiary agent white phosphorus into Gaza and a doctor there said the chemical was suspected in the case of 10 burn victims who had skin peeling off their faces and bodies.

Researchers in Israel from the rights group witnessed hours of artillery bombardments that sent trails of burning smoke indicating white phosphorus over the Jebaliya refugee camp in northern Gaza. But they could not confirm injuries on the ground because they have been barred from entering the territory.

The chief doctor at Nasser Hospital in southern Gaza said he treated several victims there with serious burns that might have been caused by phosphorus. He said, however, that he did not have the resources or expertise to say with certainty what caused the injuries.

The substance can cause serious burns if it touches the skin and can spark fires on the ground, the rights group said in a written statement calling on Israel not to use it in crowded areas of Gaza.

Military spokeswoman Maj. Avital Leibovich refused to comment directly on whether Israel was using phosphorus, but said the army was "using its munitions in accordance with international law."

Israel used white phosphorus in its 34-day war with Hezbollah in Lebanon in 2006. The U.S. military in Iraq used the incendiary during a November 2004 operation against insurgents in the city of Fallujah.

An AP photographer and a TV crew based in Gaza visited Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis on Sunday and recorded images of several burn patients.

One of them, Haitham Tahseen, recalled sitting outside his home with his family in the morning when something exploded above them.

"Suddenly, I saw bombs coming with white smoke," said the man, whose burned face was covered with medical cream. "It looked very red and it had white smoke. That's the first time I've seen such a thing."

His cousin, in another hospital bed, was more severely burned, with patches of skin peeling off his face and body, and had to be wrapped with thick white bandages.

The hospital's chief doctor, Youssef Abu Rish, said the burns were not from contact with fire, but he couldn't say what sort of substance caused them. He said information he collected on the Internet indicated it could have been white phosphorus.
So we have someone who can't say for sure if they used white phosphorus, Human Rights Watch isn't on the ground there and an AP photographer of unknown credibility along with a Gaza TV crew claim to have filmed burn victims. As if they're very reliable.

Fine reporting there by the Associated Press.
