BTW I came across this from a British news source, not the original local news story. Seems Europeans are more aware of our problems then our media is.

Racism In Georgia

There has been a court case ongoing in Dekalb county, Georgia for a while that recently concluded and the jury decided that racism is alive and well. You won't find too many ACLU or other civil rights attorneys crowing about it though. You see in this case, like in another previous case in the area, the defendants were of a dark skinned persuasion.
A federal jury has awarded damages of more than $170,000 to two former parks department workers who filed a lawsuit claiming that DeKalb County officials sought to replace white employees with black ones. The jury's verdict Thursday found that former DeKalb chief executive Vernon Jones, his one-time top aide Richard Stogner, a former parks director and DeKalb County itself were liable for damages. The main defendant in this case was Vernon Jones, a Democrat lap dog with a long and checkered history of run ins with the law and scandals. He has been investigated for everything from using county assets to run background checks on people who dared cross swords with him to rape. Very few of the previous cases ever made it to court, either because witnesses and victims alike suddenly either dropped charges or decided not to testify, but this time the plantiffs did not back down.
This case involved the firing of several, actually most, whites in high level positions in the county after he took over as what they call CEO. It so obvious that even Stevie Wonder could see it.
Vernon has at various times run for congress, he is currently hoping to unseat the eloquent and now world famous geologists Hank Johnson, the representative who has been made an overnight sensation for his concerns over Guam tipping over and capsizing, and he has challenged Saxby Chambliss for his Senate seat.
He is a proud Democrat and a person who is in love with power. He is also dumb as a box of rocks, which makes him fit in the Georgia fourth congressional district just fine.
For the record, the picture above, while it was produced by the Jones campaign when he was challenging for the Democrat nomination to face Saxby Chambliss in the race for his senate seat, was determined to be digitally altered and condemned by the Obama campaign. That however didn't stop Vernon from pledging his undying allegiance the TOTUS.

'I'm Blacker Than Barack Obama'
Hey, it's alright, the person who said this is a Democrat, so no harm, no foul. Just ask Al Sharpton. So who said it? Rod Blagojevich.
"I'm blacker than Barack Obama. I shined shoes. I grew up in a five-room apartment. My father had a little laundromat in a black community not far from where we lived," Blagojevich said. "I saw it all growing up."

"What the (expletive)? Everything he's saying's on the teleprompter," Blagojevich told the magazine for a story in its February issue, which hits newsstands Jan. 19.That's funny, I don't recall Blagojevich or Harry Reid being at any of the Tea Party demonstrations. You know, the ones filled with racists, which Janeanne Garofalo went on TV and told the dozen or so viewers of Bill Maher's show.
Wouldn't you love to get a hold of some off the record comments from Hillary in regards to Barry O?
Update (JWF): Speaking of Sharpton, Ann Coulter leaves him speechless.

Alleged Anti-Semite Former President Says You Are Racist
Coming from a man who appears to harbor his own prejudices, having Jimmy Carter accuse you of racism is like eating a dozen jelly-filled donuts every night at bed time and then blaming Dunkin Donuts for being overweight.
Remember this little incident from about a year ago.
Of course, traveling to the Middle East to negotiate with Hamas doesn't help either.
So tell me, Jimmy, how did you escape the bigotry of growing up in the south? Are you the only one who managed to escape the taint of racism? Why are charges of racism against those from the south any more credible then saying those same things about somebody from New England or the midwest?
My advice to Mr. Carter: Shut up. You have a golden opportunity to shed the title of Worst President Ever, unless that's something you are proud of.
In the last couple of days we have had a few of the elected elite class from Georgia running around throwing the racism tag around, and call me a conspiracy nut or whatever, but it is almost as if a memo went out asking for southern Democrats to push the racism theme. I eagerly await the soundbite from Cynthia McKinney. My representative, David Scott, used his racism card earlier when he got challenged at his health care town hall, which is why I guess it fell to Hank Johnson to play it this time.
Maybe Max Cleland can weigh in too.

Remember this little incident from about a year ago.
Fourteen members of a leadership group under former President Carter's think tank resigned Thursday over concerns that Carter's book on the Middle East does not represent "the Jimmy Carter we came to respect and support."Carter has never been a friend of Israel and there is certainly a certain level of anti-semitism that taints his perspective.
The members of the 200-member Board of Councilors, a leadership advisory group founded in 1987, join a longtime Carter aide, Jewish groups and lawmakers who have publicly criticized the former president's best-selling book "Palestine: Peace, Not Apartheid" for inaccuracies and distorting history.
Of course, traveling to the Middle East to negotiate with Hamas doesn't help either.
The resolution, sponsored by Reps. Mark Kirk, R-Ill., and Shelley Berkley, D-Nev., was intended as a warning shot at Carter and follows letters from more than 50 congressmen urging the former president to abandon his visit to the Hamas head, who lives in exile in Syria.I would also like to thank the goober farmer for once again furthering the stereotype of southerners as nothing but toothless, tobacco-spitting bigots. Everyone, it seems, but himself. Having a native of Georgia going around reassuring the slobbering masses who are pushing the theme that anyone who is opposed to the socialism of America are racists, and using the hook of how he is one of us so you can believe him, is despicable.
In the face of such criticism, Carter traveled to Cairo to meet with Mahmoud Zahar, who controls Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip. Zahar wrote an op-ed in the Washington Post Thursday decrying the "hideous straitjacket of apartheid" in Gaza and compared Israel to Nazi Germany.
So tell me, Jimmy, how did you escape the bigotry of growing up in the south? Are you the only one who managed to escape the taint of racism? Why are charges of racism against those from the south any more credible then saying those same things about somebody from New England or the midwest?

Shhh! Gov. Paterson Secretly Settles Racial Discrimination Lawsuit
Just imagine if this were a white governor and the roles were reversed, the condemnation would be thunderous. Even worse if it were a Republican. But I guess if you're a Democrat you're allowed to be racist. Oh, wait. That may be too harsh. Show racist tendencies.
Through it all, Paterson managed to maintain that notoriously sharp wit of his.
Gov. Paterson, who raised state taxes by $8 billion last month, just cost state taxpayers $300,000 more.Indeed.
The state has secretly settled an embarrassing federal racial-discrimination lawsuit, The Post has learned. The suit accused Paterson, back when he was Senate minority leader in 2003, of firing a white Senate photographer in order to replace him with an African-American.
The lawsuit had been scheduled to go to trial in federal court Monday in Syracuse, with Paterson, the state's first black governor, as a key witness. The case was settled earlier in the week, although a few glitches delayed the final deal until yesterday, legislative sources said.
The settlement ends a civil-rights action first filed in 2005 by Joseph Maioriello, 56, of Schenectady, a 26-year Senate employee who originally sought $1.5 million.
He was fired from his $34,000-a-year job as a photographer two years earlier and replaced by a black employee, El-Wise Noisette. The shakeup happened after Paterson ousted then-Sen. Martin Connor (D-Brooklyn) as the minority leader.
Connor was expected to testify that Maioriello was a good photographer.
While neither Paterson nor the state admitted that Maioriello was a victim of racial discrimination, the size of the settlement means "that the state wouldn't have made out very well if it had gone to trial," said a source close to the lawsuit.
"If nothing wrong happened, why is the state paying out this kind of money?" the source asked.
Through it all, Paterson managed to maintain that notoriously sharp wit of his.
Paterson, who is legally blind, claimed in a sworn deposition that he didn't see well enough to have fired Maioriello because of his race.Nobody's laughing.
A spokesman for Paterson later said the comment was "a quip, a joke."

Please Update Your Race Warfare Handbooks
Al Sharpton is once again riding to the rescue to remind naive New Yorkers and New Englanders in general just what a bunch of racists they are. In order to help clear up some of the confusion please add these pages to your racial outrage handbook.
This is not racist.

This is racist.

I hope this helps.

Calling all race warlords! Mr Jackson call on line 2
Here we go again. Incidents of this type I guess are going to be getting more national news attention now since there are declining body counts in Iraq and news of Brittany is getting old.
Racist incident roils Pa. high school
Here is the incident, without all of the speculation of the reporter and the liberal handwringing.
Nobody condones using racial slurs, unless you are liberal blog popular with most of Democrat lawmakers and are referring to either conservative bloggers or the military. And of course the school administration has a firm grasp on how to solve the problem.
Yup that is the solution. Ban the Confederate flag, because after all we know that the flag is the cause of everything eveel in America. I wonder how the "school officials" feel about Che t-shirts or Paleo scarves, you know people who actually killed other people and continue to inspire murder.
Living in the south I am way past sick and tired of everything being blamed on the Confederate flag. Damn Yankees just need something to blame, because afterall it isn't the fault of the individuals involved is it. I never heard the term racial incident used to describe the physical attack of 6 black youths in LA against a white guy. The only time the race card was played was to bring up the incidents of the nooses in the trees, which occurred 3 months before the beating administered to the white kid. And then there is this from one of the concerned parents
So tell me Mr Cora Jr, do you have a Puerto Rican flag hanging from the rearview mirror of your car? Maybe you have a Puerto Rican license plate holder. Does your kid ever wear a shirt with the PR flag on it?
Incidents like this always get on my bad side. My child, who is white in full disclosure, attends a school that is 70% black, not only students but facility and staff also, and I am here to tell you it cuts both ways. My child wears a shirt with something not to the liking of one of the teachers she is sent home. While we are waiting to pick her up all kinds of kids are walking around showing their boxer shorts or girls in skirts best suited for a profession that can be described as a night job walk merrily by. My kid gets beat up, chances are she will also wind up in detention for provoking a fight, you know with 5 other students at once.
I am just tired of the race card being trotted out and being used for a double standard.
But you let me know how banning the Confederate flag works out for you will ya? And while you are at it can somebody in PA ask Murtha for an apology to the Marines he slandered.
Racist incident roils Pa. high school
Here is the incident, without all of the speculation of the reporter and the liberal handwringing.
That's when three white 16-year-old students allegedly yelled racial slurs and threw paper wads at minority students outside the 1,600-student Warwick High School.
Nobody condones using racial slurs, unless you are liberal blog popular with most of Democrat lawmakers and are referring to either conservative bloggers or the military. And of course the school administration has a firm grasp on how to solve the problem.
School officials vowed to discipline the three students, tighten security and ban Confederate flags on school property.

And then there is this from one of the concerned parents
Erasmo Cora Jr., a Puerto Rican native whose 14-year-old son, Erik, was among the victims, said the school should expel all of the roughly dozen students who allegedly engaged in racist behavior.

Al Sharpton: Racist Bigot
It's nice to see folks like Hugh Hewitt point out the obvious, but where has the national media been the past 20 years? Most everyone in the New York area knows what a lowlife thug he is.
Am I to believe CNN just noticed it this week? Were Sharpton white, he'd never have gotten away with one-tenth of his hijinx. The drive-by media is so afraid of him and his hired rabble shouting into bullhorns, they'll look the other way to appease him, and give him a microphone whenever he demands it.
He's a racial arsonist of the lowest order, and it's high time more people saw him for what he is: a two-bit racist goon.
