Red Ken and the Cross-Dressers

We may have a conflict of interest here. We noted yesterday that London's Communist Mayor Ken Livingstone was receiving the endorsement of radical suicide-bombing Islamists.

Now he's courting that key cross-dressing demographic. Not sure how well this may go over with his Islamist buddies.

Ken Livingstone met some colourful characters on the campaign trail as he and his rival in London's mayoral election targeted the capital's alternative voters.

Mr Livingstone met a potential supporter at Heaven nightclub as he campaigns in the West End.

The Mayor gave a rousing speech to members of the gay community at the venue near Charing Cross Station last night.

He also visited bars and pubs in Soho during the walkabout.

A spokeswoman for Mr Livingstone's campaign said: "As usual, Ken was warmly welcomed in Soho as he has always done a great deal to promote the causes and interests of the gay community in the city, particularly with the introduction of the first civil partnerships three years ago."

However, he faces a tough challenge for the gay vote from Brian Paddick after a poll by website PinkNews showed that although Mr Livingstone won the most first-preference votes, the Lib-Dem - and openly gay - candidate overtook him with the crucial second-preference vote.

Terror Raids on Australian Hospitals

Not to be an alarmist, but you get the feeling every hospital that has a doctor imported from Middle Eastern and certain other Asian countries are possible breeding grounds for terrorist activities. Clever as they are, the monsters from Al Qaeda surely have a backup plan in the works.

Fresh terror raids on Australian hospitals

Police today raided two hospitals in Western Australia in connection with the failed terrorist plot in Britain.

Detectives have seized computer files and questioned five doctors of Indian background. Four doctors have been released.

Six of the seven suspects arrested in Britain in connection to last week's failed car bomb plots in London and Glasgow are believed to be overseas doctors, the seventh is a lab technician.

Today's raids come five days after Mohammad Haneef, an Indian-born doctor who had previously worked at Halton Hospital in Runcorn, Cheshire, became the eighth person to be arrested in connection with the plots when he was held at Brisbane airport in the Australian state of Queensland on Monday. Computer hard drives were also seized in Monday's operation.

Of course now that the Islamists are exposed for everyone to see, their supporters, who have very delicate feelings, want to pretend they don't support terrorism.

Muslim groups in Britain today launched a campaign to declare that terrorism is "not in our name". The Muslims United coalition placed advertisements in British national newspapers praising the emergency services as "courageous" and hailing the Government’s "calm and proportionate" reaction to the crisis.

The "not in our name" slogan is a deliberate echo of the slogan used by protesters against the invasion of Iraq.

The ads also quoted the Koran: "Whoever kills an innocent soul, it is as if he killed the whole of mankind. And whoever saves one, it is as if he saved the whole of mankind."

Sorry folks, but terrorism most definitely is in the name of Islam. Pretend all you want, but it is what it is.

Glasgow, London Attacks Carried Out by Same Men

More breaking news on the UK attacks by Muslim terrorists.

The attempted attacks on London's West End and Glasgow airport were allegedly carried out by the same men, Sky sources say.

Sky's Foreign Affairs editor, Tim Marshall, said the two allegedly planted the car bombs in central London before heading to Scotland.

"We have had it confirmed by sources that the two men who attempted to bomb London, it would appear, are the same two people who allegedly attempted to bomb Glasgow airport," said Marshall.

"In other words after that failed attempt they quickly went up to Glasgow and arranged this.

"I also understand that Scotland Yard were pretty much on their trail already."

Marshall said police were also already watching one of the eight arrested by police investigating the two bomb plots.

"The domestic security services were already aware of one of those arrested," he said.

It apparently has been confirmed that sevin of the eight Muslim terrorists in custody are doctors.

A total of eight people are being held in connection with the failed bombings - the latest an Indian doctor arrested in Australia.

Seven of those eight are believed to be doctors or trainee doctors, while the one woman under arrest is a trained laboratory researcher.

The Indian doctor, Mohammed Haneef, was detained at Brisbane International airport last night at the request of the British authorities.

According to reports, the 27-year-old had a one-way ticket to Pakistan

Must have been headed on vacation.

Muslim Madness Continues in the UK; Now Six Doctors in Custody

The latest news out of London is Heathrow Terminal 4 has been evacuated due to a suspicious package, all while investigators reveal up to 12 Al Qaeda members had been sent to work for the NHS.

Never underestimate the guile of the maniacal, evil plotters. The Brits had better do a top-to-bottom review of every single foreign doctor admitted to their country, if they haven't already done so.

Hundreds of passengers have been evacuated from Heathrow's Terminal 4 amid a major security alert today.

A suspect package is believed to have been left in the terminal.

Up to 12 members of Al Qaeda were sent to work in the NHS, security sources said today.

Eight people have so far been arrested in the hunt for the car bombers who tried to cause carnage in London and Glasgow. Six of them are NHS doctors.

The scale of the infiltration by the terror network has led police to believe several members of the gang are still at large and the threat of an atrocity remains high.

UPDATE: The Telegraph now says it is Seven doctors. It appears the only non-doctor in custody is Mohammed Asha's wife. So if the above report of 12 doctors sent over is correct, five more are still on the loose.

"I can confirm police are attending a suspicious vehicle in Park Lane," she said. Park Lane is one of the most prestigious roads in central London.

LONDON, June 29 -- British police said they discovered an explosive device in a car abandoned outside a nightclub in the West End theater and entertainment district of central London early today and began a terrorism investigation.

The police said they had found significant quantities of gasoline, propane cylinders and nails in the car, a silver-green Mercedes, which had now been made safe.

Parts of central London were cordoned off after the incident, near the landmark Piccadilly Circus area, the police said.

In a press briefing, Peter Clarke, head of Britain?s counterterrorism command, said the explosive materials had had the potential to cause 'significant injury or loss of life.'

I'll go further out on a limb and predict we'll be seeing massive raids shortly, with many "South Asian" immigrants taken into custody, and we'll be told they all love footy and fish and chips.

Three Arrested in London Bombings

I'm sure they were all good kids who enjoyed football and fish and chips, in between bouts of mass murder and attempts to flee the country.

Three held over 7 July bombings

Three men have been arrested in connection with the suicide bombings in London on 7 July 2005.

Two men, aged 23 and 30, were arrested shortly before 1300 GMT at Manchester Airport when they were due to catch a flight to Pakistan.

A third man, aged 26, was arrested at a house in Leeds shortly after 1600 GMT.

The men were arrested on suspicion of the commission, preparation, or instigation of acts of terrorism under the Terrorism Act 2000.

No names divulged yet.
