Cartoonish Security at Heathrow

For all the inane airport security stories we've seen over the years, this may take the cake.

Seriously people, it's a t-shirt.

An airline passenger claimed that a security guard threatened to arrest him because he was wearing a T-shirt showing a cartoon robot with a gun.

Brad Jayakody, 30, from London, said he was stopped from passing through security at Heathrow's Terminal 5 after his Transformers T-shirt was deemed 'offensive.'

The IT consultant was set to fly off on a business trip to Dusseldorf in Germany when he was pulled to one side.

Mr Jayakody said the first guard started joking with him about the Transformers character depicted on his French Connection T-shirt.

'"Then he explains that since Megatron is holding a gun, I'm not allowed to fly,' he said.

'It's a 40ft tall cartoon robot with a gun as an arm. There is no way this shirt is offensive in any way, and what I'm going to use the shirt to pretend I have a gun?

He was cooperative with the supervisor and took off the the 'offensive' T-shirt, replacing it with another shirt in his carry on luggage.

A spokesman for Heathrow operator BAA said: 'If a T-shirt had a rude word or a bomb on it, for example, a passenger may be asked to remove it.

I can see security doing something if a shirt had a threatening message, and let's overlook for a minute why a 30-year-old is wearing a Megatron t-shirt. But in this age when security types go out of their way to avoid offending members of a certain religion, why the hell are they hassling this guy?

Greenpeace Freakazoids Breach Heathrow Security

Very comforting to see how easily security at one of the world's major airports can be breached.

Four Greenpeace activists climbed on top of a jet at Heathrow today in what was described as an "incredible security breach".

The two men and two women posed as staff at Terminal 1, wearing high-visibility jackets and carrying fake ID cards.

They waited until passengers got off the flight from Manchester before walking through double doors, crossing the tarmac and climbing the stairs.

The area was ringed by police in a stand-off lasting over an hour after they clambered on to tail section of the British Airways Airbus 320.

Protesting against expansion of the airport, they draped a banner on the tail fin saying "Climate emergency - no third runway" as they gave interviews to the press on mobile phones.

The breach will be an enormous embarrassment to the authorities at Heathrow, which has been targeted by terrorists several times. Security is supposedly at its tightest in the airport's history.

It comes as an investigation showed that a "bomb-making kit" could be smuggled on board a plane despite increased checks following an alleged al Qaeda "liquid bomb plot".

Needless to say, they better get their act together.
If these nitwits can get through this easily, how easy will it be for the terrorists?

Muslim Madness Continues in the UK; Now Six Doctors in Custody

The latest news out of London is Heathrow Terminal 4 has been evacuated due to a suspicious package, all while investigators reveal up to 12 Al Qaeda members had been sent to work for the NHS.

Never underestimate the guile of the maniacal, evil plotters. The Brits had better do a top-to-bottom review of every single foreign doctor admitted to their country, if they haven't already done so.

Hundreds of passengers have been evacuated from Heathrow's Terminal 4 amid a major security alert today.

A suspect package is believed to have been left in the terminal.

Up to 12 members of Al Qaeda were sent to work in the NHS, security sources said today.

Eight people have so far been arrested in the hunt for the car bombers who tried to cause carnage in London and Glasgow. Six of them are NHS doctors.

The scale of the infiltration by the terror network has led police to believe several members of the gang are still at large and the threat of an atrocity remains high.

UPDATE: The Telegraph now says it is Seven doctors. It appears the only non-doctor in custody is Mohammed Asha's wife. So if the above report of 12 doctors sent over is correct, five more are still on the loose.
