The Goracle: Global Warming 'Deniers' are Flat Earthers

Despite mounting evidence contrary to his hysterical proclamations, bloated former politician Al Gore, he of the massive carbon footprint and $30,000 utility bills, is still clinging to his discredited theory of global warming.

Now this embittered clown has the temerity to give an interview to 60 Minutes where he declares those who don't buy his nonsense are akin to those who believe the earth is flat and don't believe man landed on the moon in 1969.

Self-avowed "P.R. agent for the planet" Al Gore says those who still doubt that global warming is caused by man - among them, Vice President Dick Cheney - are acting like the fringe groups who think the 1969 moon landing never really happened, or who once believed the world is flat.

The former vice president and former presidential candidate talks to 60 Minutes correspondent Lesley Stahl in an interview to be broadcast this Sunday, March 30, at 7 p.m. ET/PT.

Confronted by Stahl with the fact some prominent people, including the nation’s vice president, are not convinced that global warming is manmade, Gore responds: "You're talking about Dick Cheney. I think that those people are in such a tiny, tiny minority now with their point of view, they’re almost like the ones who still believe that the moon landing was staged in a movie lot in Arizona and those who believe the world is flat,” says Gore. "That demeans them a little bit, but it's not that far off," he tells Stahl.

What a pious, smug, condescending prick.

The reason people don't believe you is that you have no proven scientific evidence to back up your wild claims. This guy lives in a fantasy world of his own and has become very wealthy peddling misinformation.

Tears of Joy, Tears of Anguish at Ft. Stewart

Two stories involving soldiers of the 3rd Infantry Division (3ID), whose members include medal of Honor winners Audie Murphy and Paul Smith.

The first is their homecoming. The 1st Brigade is arriving home this week and over the next couple of weeks.

Brown was part of the first Army division tapped for a third combat tour in Iraq. He was among 500 soldiers from the 3rd Infantry Division's 1st Brigade returning Wednesday from a 15-month deployment to Iraq. The rest of the brigade of 4,000 troops will return in the next two weeks.

The second story reminds us of the cost of providing real hope and a chance for a better future.

Military authorities say four soldiers based at Fort Stewart have died from wounds suffered in a roadside bombing in Iraq.

These soldier are assigned to the 4th Brigade. I do not know when they are scheduled to return.

And meanwhile the National Heroes Tour continues to roll on. This time it is Kansas City. Somehow I think this reception is far different then the one they got in Minnesota.

Second Shooter in RFK Assassination?

Hmm. Well, we've certainly seen the countless stories about there being a second shooter (or more) in the assassination of John F. Kennedy.

Now, however, a couple of forensic scientists claim there was a second shooter in the murder of Robert F. Kennedy in Los Angeles in June 1968.

Maybe someone will blame Bush.

Two forensic scientists have added their names to the list of people who don't believe Sirhan Sirhan acted alone when he shot Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy in 1968.

Kennedy was gunned down on June 5, 1968, at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles. A gunman identified as Sirhan Sirhan was wrestled to the ground and later convicted as the man solely responsible for Kennedy's murder.

But doubts lingered and conspiracy theories took root that perhaps others were involved in Kennedy's death.

Naturally, these guys are peddling a book, so they're getting a ton of free publicity.

In their new book, "An Open and Shut Case," Robert Joling and Philip Van Praag say that after analyzing audio recordings of the assassination they concluded that at least 13 shots were fired. But the handgun Sirhan used only had the capacity to fire eight shots.

The critical piece of evidence, they say, is an audiotape recorded by a journalist who was traveling with Kennedy.

They also believe that the bullet that likely killed Kennedy entered from the back of his head and pierced his brain. Sirhan is believed to have fired his weapon as he faced the candidate.

"It can be established conclusively that Sirhan did not shoot Senator Kennedy. And in fact not only did he not do it, he could not have done it," Joling said.

Van Praag's "expertise" comes under serious scrutiny here.

Frankly, I don't think the American public wants to rehash this story, though there certainly is no shortage of conspiracy kooks out there.

Why You Can't Have Churches in the Muslim World

Much has been made of the ruling coming out of Saudi Arabia against allowing Catholic churches on its' soil, but the ruling applies to all religions save one. At least they didn't come right out and blame it on the Jews. No this time their reasoning was that religions that worshiped more then one god were the danger.

The Shoura Council last week defeated a proposal to adopt a law promoting respect for other religions and religious symbols. The proposal that would have had the blessings of the Arab League was opposed by 77 members and supported by 33.

In his reason for voting against the proposal, one member told Al-Watan newspaper that the negative effects might outweigh the positive ones as it would give legality to nonmonotheistic religions and consequently it would allow the building of houses of worship for those religions in Muslim countries.

Are we listening or paying attention to what they are saying? In their own words:

Their articles which were published in Al-Riyadh newspaper questioned the Sunni Muslim view that is standard in Saudi Arabia that adherents of other faiths should be considered unbelievers. Al-Barrak called them infidels and said they should repent or be killed: “Anyone who claims this has refuted Islam and should be tried so that he can take it back. If not, he should be killed as an apostate from the religion of Islam,”

So were do we start this peaceful dialouge at? Madame Speaker? Mr. Majority leader? Any presidential candidate? What is your plan?

Now we have the female rappers getting into the act. This one shot a woman outside a nightclub last year. Must be some kind of requirement to earn your stripes in the hip-hop community that you need to shoot people.

This will probably increase her record sales.

Grammy-nominated rapper Remy Ma was led out of a Manhattan courtroom, weeping and in handcuffs, on Thursday after her conviction for shooting a woman outside a nightclub last summer.

The defense had conceded that the entertainer fired a shot toward a friend she suspected of stealing $3,000, but said it was an accident.

The 26-year-old rapper, whose real name is Remy Smith, faces up to 25 years in prison following her conviction in state Supreme Court for assault, weapon possession and attempted coercion.

She quietly wiped away tears as the verdict was read, then wailed loudly and sobbed openly after she was outside the courtroom. Many of her supporters also cried.

Justice Rena Uviller ordered her jailed without bail while awaiting her April 23 sentencing.

Remy Ma was nominated for a Grammy as part of the Terror Squad for the 2004 hit "Lean Back." She also has appeared on recordings with Busta Rhymes and Eminem.

The rapper was acquitted of witness tampering and gang assault, charges related to a Bronx nightclub attack on the boyfriend of a witness who ultimately testified against her.

Remy Ma got into Makeda Barnes Joseph's car after a party at the Manhattan nightclub on July 14, 2007, and demanded that she dump her purse.

Assistant District Attorney Michael McIntosh said the defendant "took an illegal .45-caliber automatic and loaded it with hollow-point bullets," then used both hands to cock the weapon as she got into the car. "She took every step you had to take to shoot somebody," said the prosecutor.

'Islam Will Not Be Reformed for 1,000 Years'

Der Spiegel has a lengthy profile on Geert Wilders, some parts contemptible, while also sympathetic in some way.

Some interesting background I was previously unaware of. Seems much of his media profile stems from this:

Wilders' hate-filled tirades and disrespectful statements have reverberated throughout the Netherlands for more than four years. His rhetoric is directed against the political establishment, leftist intellectuals and Eurocrats.

No wonder they hate him. Leftist "intellectuals" hate being mocked.

He is only too pleased to watch intellectuals -- the people he routinely castigates as do-gooders and cultural relativists -- squirm. Nevertheless, his poll ratings are climbing. If the country were to hold elections next Sunday, his PVV, which currently holds nine seats in the Second Chamber, or lower house of parliament, would likely double its standing.

Still, he can't be typecast.

By the same token, he is not a dull racist and xenophobe, like his right-wing populist counterparts in France, Belgium and Germany. He wants to ban the Koran, the burka and the construction of new mosques. But he also wants to prevent "gays from being beaten up on our streets by Muslim youth."

Cop Killer Gets a Reprieve

PHILADELPHIA - A federal appeals court has ordered a new penalty hearing for celebrity death row inmate Mumia Abu-Jamal (moo-MEE'-ah AH'-boo jah-MAHL').

The 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals says Abu-Jamal's conviction for the 1981 murder of a Philadelphia police officer should stand. But it says he should get a new sentencing hearing because of flawed jury instructions.

If prosecutors don't want to give him a new death penalty hearing, Abu-Jamal would be sentenced automatically to life in prison.

A Philadelphia jury convicted Abu-Jamal of killing Officer Daniel Faulkner after the patrolman pulled over Abu-Jamal's brother in an overnight traffic stop 27 years ago.

This guy has been living on death row for 27 years! What, are they hoping he dies of old age. Three hots and a cot at the taxpayers expense for all of this time. I wonder how much taxpayer money the victims family got?

Officer Faulkner didn't get to appeal to anybody.

Mocking Mugabe

Not even crushing inflation and living in fear all these years has wiped away a sense of humor for the suffering people of Zimbabwe.

Good for them. I just pray Robert Mugabe doesn't have the last laugh.

The voice uncannily resembles President Mugabe's. “I gave you maize for my election campaign and you made popcorn out of it,” it drones. “I gave you fertiliser and you made kachasu [bootleg] out of it. I gave you cattle and you sold them to the butcher. My people are a terrible disappointment.”

The listeners, crouched over a mobile telephone, convulse with laughter. The voice belongs to a mimic who satirises the speeches of the 84-year-old leader.

Then there is the new ringtone being sold at markets around the country. To the tune of a well-known “revolutionary” song of the ruling Zanu (PF) party of Robert Mugabe, the singers chant derisively: “And for how long are you going to vote for Zanu(PF)?”

The electronic trinkets are part of an onslaught of mockery of Mr Mugabe and his party as he tries to add five more years to the twenty-eight already in power. Only two months ago political satire such as this would have attracted the attention of the Central Intelligence Organisation. But in the absence of the customary intimidation by the brainwashed youth militia and war veterans, the police and the army that has preceded every election since 2000, the climate of terror that has kept Mr Mugabe in control has lifted.

Says here there's disunity among the opposition, which may bode well for the thug, while others indicate his days are numbered.

In the meantime, he's still issuing threats and--get this--his thugs are forcing opponents to eat posters.

Intelligence officers have forced opponents of Zimbabwean dictator Robert Mugabe to take down their election posters and eat them, a leading human rights group has claimed.

Amnesty International said three supporters of the Movement for Democratic Change were arrested on March 7 for putting up posters and later forced to chew, and swallow the posters in jail.

Just lovely.

Another Democrat Indicted

Remarkably, most news accounts are noting he's a Democrat. Seems the newspapers may have had their fill of Name That Party stories.

He also happens to support Barack Obama.

Gov. Anibal Acevedo Vila was charged Thursday with 19 counts in a campaign finance probe, including conspiracy to violate U.S. federal campaign laws and giving false testimony to the FBI.

The indictment also charged 12 others associated with Acevedo's Popular Democratic Party as a result of a two-year grand jury investigation, acting U.S. Attorney Rosa Emilia Rodriguez said.

The 13 are accused of conspiring to illegally raise money to pay off Acevedo's campaign debts from his 2000 campaign to be the U.S. island territory's nonvoting member of Congress.

Acevedo, now running for re-election as governor, will not be arrested, Rodriguez said. But at least five others named in the indictment were led in handcuffs into the U.S. federal building in San Juan early Thursday morning.

"The governor will be permitted to turn himself in deference to his position," she said.

Acevedo has called the campaign finance probe a case of political persecution by federal officials, partly for his criticism of a September 2005 FBI raid in which a fugitive militant Puerto Rican independence leader was killed.

His allegation has support in Puerto Rico, where many feel a deep-rooted nationalism and hostility toward the U.S. federal government.

A Harvard-educated attorney and career politician, Acevedo, 45, served in Washington as the island's nonvoting delegate to Congress, and was elected governor in 2004 after campaigning on an anti-corruption platform.

If there's such hostility to the U.S. federal government, why don't they declare their independence and stop sucking so much money off us?

LA Times Gets Bamboozled

The LA Times ran a story the other day based on fabricated documents, but that isn't news to anybody familiar with the mainstream media. The real shocker in this story is that now they actually admit they did it and apologized

The Los Angeles Times apologized for using documents that were apparently fabricated in a story implicating associates of Sean "Diddy" Combs in a 1994 assault on rapper Tupac Shakur.

"The bottom line is that the documents we relied on should not have been used," Editor Russ Stanton said in a story posted Wednesday night on the newspaper's Web site. "We apologize both to our readers and to those referenced in the documents ... and in the story."

Pulitzer-prize winning reporter Chuck Philips, who wrote the story, and his supervisor, Deputy Managing Editor Marc Duvoisin, also apologized.

The apologies followed an investigation launched by Stanton after The Smoking Gun Web site reported earlier in the day that the paper was conned by a prisoner who doctored the documents.

Looks like the "Dan Rather School of Journalism" is alive and well; i.e., run with any junk you can make up and see if others can prove you are wrong. At least they did not try the "fake but accurate" line of garbage.

You might well wonder why the MSM seems to have a habit of running these bungled stories. This may be a hint:

The story and related features on latimes.com attracted nearly 1 million hits -- more viewers than any other story on latimes.com this year, the newspaper said.

It is becoming clear that the MSM is simply becoming a forum for rumors and half-baked theories, all in pursuit of hits and readership.

The MSM, printing all the stories that fit their agenda.

The Presidential Race Explained Neatly

Chris over at Day By Day has summed up this years presidential race very succinctly. All that is left now is to decide who will host the finale, Ryan Seacrest or Donald Trump. Will it wind up being a call in vote with the results "After the break" or will we have the final two sitting in front of Donald Trump waiting to hear those dreaded words "You're Fired."

It isn't about issues. It isn't even about the fact that at least one of remaining candidates on the Dem side is a pathological liar and the other may be a closet racist, you choose which one fits those labels best, but rather about some sort of undefinable quality that is subject to each persons' perceptions.

The campaign is now more about sound bites and good lighting.

And don't believe for one minute the polls that say on the Dem side if their candidate doesn't get the nod then they will vote for McCain, because after all is said and done there is one thing the liberals and Dems in this country want more then anything else in life, and that is somebody with a (D) after their name sitting in the White House. The country be damned it is about winning elections.

We slept well while Clinton was President but that alarm clock went off on 9/11 and jolted us out of our slumber, but it appears that the American people have once again hit the snooze button and are ready to roll over for another 10 minutes of sleep.

I wonder if they will able to turn off the alarm clock the next time it goes off?

She's 'Plane Nuts': Pilot Trashes Pantsuit

Congenital liar

Lies have consequences. Not that Mrs. Clinton ever stopped for a moment to think about that. Now that she's finally been exposed as the congenital liar William Safire told us about 12 years ago, the futile attempts at damage control are underway.

None of the spin will get her out of this mess.

The pilot of the plane that brought her to Bosnia speaks out about her tall tales of evading sniper fire.

The pilot who flew Hillary Rodham Clinton into Bosnia shot down her fairy tale of facing sniper fire during her visit there as first lady in 1996 - saying the trip was so safe that "not only were there no bullets flying around, there wasn't a bumble bee flying around."

Col. William "Goose" Changose said in a radio interview that he was surprised by Clinton's story and obliterated it.

Clinton had said the military plane used an "evasive maneuver" to escape detection, that there was no greeting ceremony on the tarmac in Tuzla, and that the visitors were told to run to cars for cover.

"Yeah, so, no evasive maneuver. OK?" Changose said on the Rusty Humphries radio show.

"I gotta tell ya, I will give it to the commander of Air Base Eagle. He had that place - you know, not only were there no bullets flying around, there wasn't a bumble bee flying around," Changose said.

Changose isn't the only one fuming about the serial fabricator.

One of the Marines' most-accomplished snipers took dead aim yesterday at Hillary Rodham Clinton's claims of facing fire in Bosnia, saying she has dissed the real heroes.

"She doesn't care about our service members - that's the feeling that gives me," said retired Staff Sgt. Jack Coughlin, a 20-year Marine sniper who detailed his real-life drama in the powerful 2006 book, "Shooter: The Autobiography of the Top-Ranked Marine Sniper."

"This is not a verbal snafu. She is using us," he told The Post.

Coughlin, who once recorded 13 enemy "kills" in a single day during the Iraq war, said Clinton committed "the ultimate sin" by trumping up a frightening scenario for political gain.

"She puts it out there so she can say she's been tested under fire - especially in the smug way she was talking about it," Coughlin said, referring to Clinton's account of running across a military tarmac in Tuzla, Bosnia, while under sniper attack.

Clinton has said this week that she misspoke.

"So I made a mistake," she told reporters Tuesday in Pennsylvania, where she was campaigning before the state's April 22 primary.

But Coughlin's not buying it.

"She tried to punch her ticket in the 'warrior club,' like, 'I've been there, done that, and I've got the T-shirt,' " Coughlin said. "If you do it for political gain - that's where you cross the line."

Ouch.

Looks like her congenital lying has finally caught up with her.

You know it's bad when Bill Clinton is the honest one.

Shrouded in what history will remember as her Blarney Scarf, Hillary Clinton regaled reporters for the umpteenth time last week with her fairy tale about a heroic landing through a hail of sniper fire 10 years ago to bring peace to Bosnia.

This is no simple exaggeration, embellishment or fuzzy memory about details from long ago. Nor is this just a little padding of the résumé. This is pure, calculated fabrication.

Lies, all of it.

Rich Lowry drops the hammer.

Anyone reading between the lines would know her proverbial 3 a.m. calls had to do with the fallout from her husband's perjurous denials of his dalliance with a White House intern.

She needed something more - hence her laughable exaggerations about helping bring peace to North Ireland, negotiating a way way out of Kosovo for refugees and running under sniper fire in Tuzla.

Those claims could all be rebutted in print, and had been. But it took video of her - with no helmet or flak jacket - smiling and greeting a 8-year-old girl on the tarmac to destroy her story in an instant.

The CBS footage is the blue dress of the Hillary campaign, the lock-down evidence that can't be spun away.

Spitzer Linked to Second Call Girl Ring

Ashley Dupre is yesterday's news, and probably should have cashed in when she had the chance. Now this piece of trailer-park trash has emerged as the latest hooker who claims to have personally serviced former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer and says she has a sizable black book of clients.

'WICKED' SPITZER LINKED TO BUSTY BUSTED MADAM'S BIZ

Disgraced former Gov. Eliot Spitzer has been identified as a long-standing client of a second high-priced call-girl ring, The Post has learned.

The ex-governor regularly patronized Wicked Models, the Manhattan-based operation taken down Tuesday, according to financial documents and other evidence unearthed in a yearlong prostitution investigation, law-enforcement sources said.

The revelation comes three weeks after Spitzer was outed as "Client-9" in a separate federal hooker probe involving the New Jersey-based Emperors Club VIP.

At the center of the new ring is Kristin "Billie" Davis, a busty bottle blonde who hails from a rough-and-tumble California trailer park. She has a reputation for hard-partying, shameless self-promotion and a rumored 10,000-name-long client list.

Davis' alleged multimillion-dollar empire was smashed by city vice cops as she made plans to skip town. Prosecutors say she netted some $2 million last year by pimping out ladies of the night for as much as $1,000 an hour through four Web sites.

They noted she has openly boasted of total earnings of $6 million, and has been in operation since at least 2004.

Davis, 32, pleaded not guilty to money laundering and promoting prostitution in Manhattan Supreme Court yesterday and was held on $2-million bail. She faces 15 years in prison if convicted of running the ring, which also allegedly operated the Madison La A'mour and New York Body Miracle agencies.

A source said Davis personally serviced Spitzer.

Mouse Sparks Police Hunt
A German man panicked when he saw a mouse in his living room and fled into the snowy night wearing only boxer shorts and slippers. He called the police who obligingly hunted the rodent in his flat armed with traffic cones.

A German man who spotted a mouse running across his living room floor while he was watching TV was so scared that he raced into the snow-covered street at 3:25 a.m. wearing nothing but boxer shorts, slippers and a blanket, police said.

"He alerted the police from a public call box," police in the central city of Göttingen said in a statement released late on Tuesday. "The 23-year-old man told the amazed officers that there was a mouse in his flat and that there was nothing he was more afraid of than the little rodents."

While the man waited outside, the helpful officers ventured into his flat armed with a number of traffic cones in an attempt to catch the mouse. "The furry rodent wasn't found despite an intensive search of all the rooms," police said.

The man decided he couldn't share his flat with the mouse and trudged through the snow to spend the night at a friend's house. "How the mouse spent the rest of the night remains a mystery," police said. "Maybe it came out of hiding and spent the night dancing on the table."

I listen to some of the shows from time to time. Right now I tune in to Halls of Vahalla with Newt One along with one called Screw Liberals. Pam Gellar, Atlas, also has a show over there.
I don't know whether our readers would be interested in this sort of thing, but it is normal people basically doing talk radio over the web and while listening to the shows, you can call in or participate in the chat rooms. It is a total interactive experience.

Future Bomb: Oliver Stone to Make Bush Film

These people never learn. Other than some diehard BDS sufferers, who in their right mind is going to pay to see an Oliver Stone depiction of George W. Bush? Fair or not, the president suffers from low poll numbers and we've heard for some time that America suffers from Bush fatigue, so it's curious why any studio would greenlight such a project and begin filming while he's still in office.

Hollywood apparently has learned nothing with the seemingly endless string of antiwar flicks bombing, so now we'll get the moonbat look at Bush. One can only imagine how Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld and the nefarious cabal of neocons will be portrayed.

Bush has been the most scrutinized president in modern times thanks to the explosion of the blogosphere, so it's not as if Stone would be able to shed any new light on his life or presidency. You can be sure, however, he will be taking creative license.

Shreveport has lured another major feature film production.

"W." is in preproduction and will begin shooting April 21 and likely wrap June 20, according to Louisiana's Office of Entertainment Industry Development.

"W." will star Josh Brolin as President George W. Bush and will be directed by Oliver Stone, according to the Internet Movie Database.

Brolin earned acclaim in 2007 for his roles in "No Country for Old Men," "In the Valley of Elah" and "American Gangster."

Stone, a Hollywood icon, directed "Platoon," "Nixon," "JFK," "Wall Street," "World Trade Center" and "Alexander."

In January, Stone spoke about the project to Daily Variety.

Treating China's notoriously undersexed national icon to “panda porn” - or videos of other pandas having sex - is believed to have had some success. Now China has devised a new tactic to help the black-and-white animals to have more babies.

The answer is “sexercise”. Keepers are putting their charges at the Chengdu Panda Breeding and Research Centre in southwestern Sichuan province through a rigorous programme with the aim of improving their mating skills.

It involves apples. An apple is dangled from a string above the panda, luring it to stand on two legs as it tries to reach the treat. The exercise helps the panda to walk on its rear legs, thus strengthening the pelvic and hip muscles and better equipping it for sex.

Apples and porn? Who'd have thought?

China said last November that it had 239 pandas living in captivity with another 27 living overseas. A total of 1,569 are believed to live in the wild and remote corners of the south west of China.

But the keepers are relying on more than pornography and dangling apples to improve the sexual skills of the panda.

Maybe instead of apples, they should send governors of New York over to teach them a few tricks.

Skinflint Obamas Gave Less Than 1% to Charity Over Four-Year Span

Typical liberals. Always have plenty of wonderful ideas how to spend your money. But when it comes time to pony up, they're nowhere to be found.

Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, gave less than 1 percent of their total $1.2 million income from 2000 through 2004 to charity, according to tax returns his campaign released yesterday.

Their total charitable donations for those four years totaled $10,770 - a small chunk of the couple's total income while Obama was an Illinois state senator, and a lowball figure compared to other politicians.

Once they cashed in on the book inspired by Jeremiah Wright, however, they stepped up and donated some more. Probably got some advice as he was prepping to run for the White House.

Their giving increased in 2005 and 2006, to more than $137,000 combined, after the couple's income skyrocketed to a total of $2.6 million thanks in part to royalties for Obama's two memoirs, the documents show.

In 2005, they gave a little over 4 percent to charity, and in 2006 just over 6 percent, the tax returns show. And Obama aides said that while they haven't yet released his 2007 returns, he donated $240,000 to charity last year.

An Obama spokesman said the couple were new parents paying off student loans, and gave as much as they could in the earlier years.

How is it these two were still paying off college loans when they were in their 40s?

Naturally, we haven't seen Mrs. Clinton's tax returns yet.

Despite the anti-American racist rants of Wright, the Obama sure gave plenty of money to his church.

Over two years, the couple gave $27,500 to Trinity United Church of Christ, where their former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., preached fiery and sometimes controversial sermons.
