Suspended For Running Background Check On Obama

Remember the whole Joe the Plumber debacle? In that case a private citizen had his private life investigated and exposed for daring to assert that then presidential candidate Barack Obama might have some economic policies that weren't in the best of tradition of the free enterprise system that had has made America still the envy of the rest of the world by a government employee. I, and most others, spoke out against that so to stay consistent I must say that these guys shouldn't have done this either without some sort of justification, however I do find it odd that they get suspended right away after an inquiry from the Secret Service.

The United States Secret Service notified county officials that DeKalb County computer equipment was utilized to do a query on the President.

Such behavior, said William “Miz” Miller, DeKalb Public Safety director, is not to be tolerated.

The message should be clear. If you are going to do this sort of thing you need to be prepared for Big Brother to come a knocking. It no longer seems to matter whether you do this from home or work, a well placed phone call will find you on the wrong side of the powers that be.

I am not defending the officers, although I will bet at the time the officers were more curious then they had any sort of malevolent intent. What is even more ironic is that Dekalb county, a suburb of Atlanta voted overwhelmingly for Obama.

Be careful out there boys and girls, and don't use government equipment to do research.

The Obama's Taxpayer Funded Summer Getaway

Proving that the economy is only worrisome to average working folks, and unfettered by having to live within a budget the Obamas are going to spend even more of your money on a a quaint little summer getaway on a property in Martha's Vineyard that rents for $50,000 a week and is valued at $20 million.

The absolute arrogance of this couple and the willful blind eye that our press has in regards to their extravagant taxpayer spending ways is really beginning to grate on my last good nerve.

The farm features a swimming pool, golf practice facilities — Mr Obama plays regularly — a basketball court, access to a private beach and a rental price tag of up to $50,000 (£30,000) a week.

No deal has yet been struck on the property, but the rental agreement being negotiated has reportedly been split into three separate leases: one to be held by the Obamas — and paid for out of their own pockets — one by the Secret Service, and a third by the White House, which will be sending a large entourage to Martha’s Vineyard to accompany the President.

So far the family has traveled all over the world on our dime with Michelle making shopping trips in France and elsewhere, he is always jetsetting to a different location every week, apparently still in campaign mode, to sell his latest governmental grab, and spent tons of money taking photos of New York and frightening the citizens in the process and all the while the employment numbers get worse and the deficits continue to grow.

What happened to the press who couldn't wait to label President Bush as an absentee president everytime he went to Crawford to his ranch? Where are they now? Former President Bush had nothing on Obama when it comes to hitting the golf links either. I think the last item I saw on that was that Barry O had been golfing something like 10 times in the last 10 weeks.

How's this for change?

The Obamas are reported to be determined to pay their way — unlike the Clintons, who stayed at Martha’s Vineyard regularly during their years at the White House but who were always put up by other people and thus stayed rent-free.

By paying their own way they mean that the bill for the Secret Service and the advance team will be paid by us and I really want to see the expense report to see what the Obama's share comes to. Not bad for a couple who on the campaign trail complained about just recently being able to pay off their student loans and needed some big time help on what some consider a shady deal to purchase their home in Chicago.

Veteran's Warning On National Health Care

This is what health care looks like in a program administered by the national government. This is a report about the local VA clinic/hospital near me. The local station that I got the video from does not allow me to embed it, but please take a few minutes to go watch this report. I do not use VA facilities for this very reason, but rather use private health care options.

There is no reason to believe this type of situation would not be repeated all across this country if the plans the Democrats are trying to shove through become reality. Listen to the reasons cited in this report, they are many of the same reasons being given as reasons why the liberals plan is flawed and for many Americans could prove fatal.

I didn't watch Barry O's dog and pony show last night, since I figured it would be like all of his past performances and stage managed to the nth degree. Judging by the coverage this morning on the various news shows, I see some semi-pointed questions were asked but the answers were seriously lacking. It seems Barack's response basically boiled down to that of a 5 year old hollering "I want" at the top of his lungs in the toy department of a discount store, and it is up to the adults, i.e., the taxpayers in this country, to tell him no.

The Obama Taxpayer Funded Family Vacation Continues

He seems to fluff his lines on the big occasions, and there is a wicked rumour making the rounds that President Atta Mills has been practising the name of his host, "Bama Obarack, Marack Omaba, President Omarack"…

As part of the Obama kids summer break, global vacation, the family is going to stop over in Ghana also, and apparently the country is all pumped up over the visit. This writer is so excited that she takes some swipes at their neighbors on the African continent.

Elizabeth Ohene, a former government minister in Ghana and former BBC journalist, looks forward to US President Barack Obama's visit to her country:

Folks may recall that Ghana is home to another world leader, former secretary general of the UN, the graft ridden and corrupt Kofi Annan. Bill Clinton also paid a visit there when he was president.

I was struck by two things while reading this story. One this woman used to be a BBC journalist, which raises a whole lot of questions about BBC's objectivity when it comes to it's reporting. She is rightly proud of her country and doesn't issue apologies like a certain other person we all know, but the bias on display here leads one to wonder what sort of stories she did in the past that she got paid for as a "journalist", that had the same sort of taint to them.

The second thing is this comment from an Obama spokesperson

"An extraordinarily close election, decided ultimately by about 40,000 votes, the country remained peaceful, power was transferred peacefully, and they continue to pursue a development agenda and bolster the rule of law."

while they remain largely silent on the results of the Iranian election and the ongoing protests and continue to side with dictator wannabee former leader of Honduras who tried to throw their constitution out the window and was stopped by that country's supreme court, and in our media is stilling being characterized as a coup.

So while, for a lot of us who daily worry about keeping our jobs, who probably do not see any vacations in our near future, and continue to tighten our budget belts, the first family continues to host extravagant parties at the White House, travel around the world and push their lackeys in Congress to continue to spend our taxpayer dollars like drunken sailors in New York during fleet week, and continue spitting in the face of the hard working, tax paying citizens.

I realize there are reasons for the president to travel abroad to take care of state business, it is just on all of these trips in these hard economic times, he has continued to drag the family along so that they can have the time of their lives all on our dime. There is a time and a place for everything, and a better time to be doing this sort of stuff is when our economy has recovered and it does not take on the sheen of Marie Antoinette with her infamous quote about eating cake.

Obama's Adolescent National Security Advisor

Yes, that is Barry O's oldest daughter in that picture with the t-shirt bearing a peace symbol and the article says is the symbol for an organization called Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament.

My question is, did mommy and daddy influence Malia or is Malia helping daddy make important national security decisions? My question for all of y'all is do you still doubt the radical views of your President in Training Pants?

Malia has only been around Barack for 11 years--yes, that is how old she is--which is hard to believe looking at these pictures, and yet we are expected to believe that people like Jeremiah Wright, whom Barack knew for 20 years, had no effect on his thinking.

Can you imagine the outcry if it was the Bush daughters wearing a shirt like this?

Will David Letterman make any jokes about the Obama kids, now that they are using them as stage props to further reinforce dangerous national security policies which seems to revolve around paying the bullies of the world protection money in the hopes they beat up our friends first? Only problem with that type of policy is that sooner or later you no longer have any place to run and you must finally come face-to-face with your tormentor.

What You Didn't See From Green Bay Yesterday

Barry O took his show on the road once again yesterday, while his family continues to vacation in Europe on your dime, to promote his omnipotent healthcare plan.

Since I was working from home I got to see the campaign stop and while he was surrounded by his adoring fans inside, outside it was a different matter.
I wonder why we didn't see these, can you really call them protesters, who lined the road leading up to the venue?


Regarding that campaign stop, after Barry O talked about how seizing control of the healthcare system in this country was the single most important thing that needed to be addressed or else western civilization would cease to exist, using the same rhetoric and words that he used previously when talking about financial institutions, the automakers, and the housing market, just before he seized control of them also, he opened it up for questions from the crowd. He assured us that the people were not pre screened or pre selected, so I want to know why was it that all those who opposed his plan were on the outside?

There was the local teachers union member who did not have a question about healthcare at all, but rather used his opportunity to blast the No Child Left Behind policy and the unfairness of testing.

There was the guy who asked for a note for his daughter for school.

There was a woman who was a big fan of going to a single payer system.

There was NOT a single dissenting opinion or question, either from the people in attendance or the media.

Oh yeah and of course this trip was paid for with your tax dollars. You know after the President in Training Pants said last week that we were out of money.

Apparently the taxpayers and the country are out of money but the Obama's have tax payer funded credit card that has no spending limit on it.

When The Going Gets Tough....

The President in Training Pants can be counted on to hit the campaign trail.

That is just what Barry O is doing today to peddle his all powerful, omnipotent, national health care plan. All on our dime of course. I wonder if somebody is keeping a running tally of all these trips he is making to either raise campaign funds or to go peddle whichever government takeover plan is the flavor of the day.

President Barack Obama, facing challenges to his ambitious health care overhaul from Congress, is visiting supporters outside the capital and turning to them to muster up momentum for one of his top legislative priorities.Obama on Thursday readied to fly to Green Bay, Wis., to talk directly with voters about his proposals to spend $1.5 trillion over the next decade to cover uninsured Americans.

The part of the story that really scares me is the part where he is taking the White House propaganda corp with him to hear "stories from average Americans" on health care issues.

Yeah, average Americans carefully screened and prepped with to ask the correct quetion or to give the "compelling story that is so emblematic of the problems in our health care system."

Administration officials said the president's speech in Green Bay would contain no new policies, but would instead put Obama - and the traveling White House press corps - in position to hear directly from people who are affected in the existing system. Those stories, Obama's political aides said, would be key to selling the final product.

Our press corps sold their souls to the devil long ago, so bloggers keep your eyes out on who gets to ask questions or which stories we hear and then just like in the past get to work to find out the real story, just like when they wanted to shove SCHIP down our throats. Something they were able to finally do by backroom deals and late night passage.

Barry O To Visit His Uncle's Concentration Camp

Remember back during the campaign when Barry O misremembered which concentration camp his great uncle helped liberate?

Barack Obama's campaign scrambled Tuesday to set the record straight after the Democratic presidential candidate said on Memorial Day that his uncle helped liberate the Auschwitz death camp at the end of World War II.

There were two obvious problems with the tale: Auschwitz was liberated by the Soviet Army, and Obama's American mother was an only child.

As the Republican National Committee seized on the discrepancies, Obama's campaign clarified that the Illinois senator was actually referring to his "great uncle," and that he had confused Auschwitz with another concentration camp. The campaign said he meant to refer to Ohrdruf, a sub-camp of the Buchenwald concentration camp in Germany.

Simple mistake, right? All is forgiven because he is The One. Well, Barry is going to make things right with another PR stop and in the process continue his world-wide apology tour. Supposedly he has plans to visit Germany and while there he will visit Buchenwald.

President Obama is preparing to follow in the footsteps of his great uncle Charlie, with a visit to the Buchenwald concentration camp in Germany when he returns to Europe this summer.

The site is laden with historic and personal significance for the President. More than 50,000 people died at the camp before its liberation in April, 1945 by American soldiers, including Charlie Payne, the uncle of Mr Obama’s mother.

However, like I said, though this is really just one more stop on his "I'm sorry we kicked your ass in the past" tour. They ought to print up t-shirts like the rock bands do when they go on world tours.

But he will be aware of the sensibilities of his German hosts before the D-Day commemoration and by traveling to Dresden — a city destroyed by ferocious Allied bombing in February 1945 — Mr Obama will also acknowledge how Germany suffered during the Second World War.

Nice message, huh? Sure, you killed millions of people in the most hideous ways imaginable, but hey, we weren't any better.

BTW, that picture came from that web site that ran all the pictures of the liberals apologizing after they lost the 2004 election. Ironic, huh?

Barry O Throws MSM (and Teleprompter) Under The Bus

According to this AP article, Barry O, the President in Training Pants is going to be taking questions submitted via the web on Thursday. I guess all those teleprompter gaffes and a media that seems to be turning are just too much for him.

I am not foolish enough to think that he will field any questions from conservatives. He will no doubt pick and choose and, of course, questions submitted from Huffington Post and Firedoglake-type progressives will get priority, but it might be entertaining to see how he does and what he chooses to answers.

The poor teleprompter-in-chief has got to be feeling a little blue. At last night's fiasco, er, press briefing, Barry O used a big screen TV rather then a teleprompter.

You know what is so fun with this guy? He is so easy to manipulate using kidding. He is so self-conscious and wants everything about him to be so perfect that it is so easy to get into his psyche and bruise his ego. While it is fun to watch, it is not what you want from somebody sitting in the big boy chair in the Oval Office. Other world leaders see how this guy acts, many of them have already been insulted by this administration, and they too will use this personality flaw to further manipulate him.

Cap and Trade Headed Our Way For Energy

Everybody knows that Barry O was up in Iowa, er Ottawa yesterday. What most people are not aware of is what the President in Training Pants said in response to a question posed to the 2 leaders, President Obama and Prime Minister Harper, in regards to energy policy.

The whole exchange was captured but unfortunately it is spread between 2 separate videos. The question is here along with Mr Harper's response starting about 4:25 mark. I am putting up the video that contains Obama's response which contains a portion which ought to scare you. In it he advocates for the United States to pursue a "Cap and Trade" policy in regards to coal power. Of course nobody in the news is reporting this little revelation.

Cap and trade is a policy which is designed to devastate an industry. Essentially it makes the price of doing business too prohibitive to be viable.

These measures would set a limit, or cap, on carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuel use. The effect of such a cap would be to impose rationing of coal, oil, and natural gas on the American economy. Each covered utility, oil company, and manufacturing facility would be given allowances based on past emissions or some other formula. Those companies that emit less carbon dioxide than permitted by their allowances could sell the excess to those that do not; this is the trade part of cap and trade. Over time, the cap would be ratcheted down, requiring greater cuts in emissions.

In the video you will find Baracks' response starting at about the 2:19 mark. The environmental and energy team that Obama has are all big advocates of this sort of approach along with all the environmental progressive weenies. It was tried in Europe and it has failed. Of course if there is one thing this new administration has shown us they are not about to let failed policies of the past stop them from adopting or proposing them again. Whether those policies belonged to FDR, Jimmy Carter, or the Europeans.



For somebody who everyday is regaling with dire warnings of how bad our economy is he sure seems to be doing everything in his power to make sure it soon rivals countries such as Zimbabwe.

How Many Jobs Does This Create, Barry?

The president in training pants is at the helm of a train that is taking the express route to hell and taking this country with it, and he just keeps on pouring on the coal. I don't think any president has done so much to hurt this country in such a short period of time.

To his list of shameful acts in regards to Gitmo and the handling of the terrorists housed there, and his unbelievably socialistic spending program, add backtracking on exploring and tapping our own natural resources.

Just earlier today he told his adoring masses that he wanted to wean us off of our dependence on foreign oil. Well, apparently he wants to get us off of domestic oil too.

This is San Fran Nan's response to Barry O rolling back the order that President Bush had approved for exploring off shore oil reserves.

"Today, Interior Secretary Salazar unveiled a new approach to reviewing the energy potential of the Outer Continental Shelf. With this announcement, the Obama Administration has taken a critical step toward a comprehensive energy policy.

"From beginning to end, the Bush Administration maintained a single-minded focus on oil and gas drilling above all other forms of energy -- releasing a draft plan to vastly expand offshore drilling just four days before President Obama's inauguration.

"The new Administration is stopping this headlong rush to open new offshore areas of drilling, calling for a thorough review, with much greater public participation. And Secretary Salazar is wisely initiating a review of the potential for offshore renewable energy, and moving forward with long-stalled rules to ensure that offshore renewable energy projects can proceed in an environmentally-responsible manner.

"We cannot drill our way to energy independence. But by harnessing all of our domestic energy resources, and aggressively pursuing new technology to unleash them, we move a giant step closer toward energy independence."

Earlier this month Salazar had removed 77 tracts of land in Utah from the bidding process for oil exploration.

So just where are all these jobs he is promising going to come from, and even if he creates them how are the people supposed to get to them with an ever shrinking oil and gas reserves?

Lies, Drugs, and Barack Obama Supporters

It looks like we have another case of somebody playing the race card and as the facts are coming out it is something totally different.

In this case it is a staunch Obama supporter in Cumming, GA. It seems that while she was in Washington, DC to attend the inauguration her home was torched and racist graffiti was scrawled on a fence.

When I first read the story the BS meter started ticking, so I took the wait-and-see attitude. Well, this is my reward.

Fire Department spokesman Capt. Jason Shivers says authorities arrested 47-year-old Pamela Graf Tuesday on drug charges but says she is listed as a suspect in the fire. He says investigators executing a search warrant on her car and room at a motel found marijuana and cocaine.

Along with Ms. Graf, her boyfriend was also arrested in connection with the incident.

Graf's boyfriend, 46-year-old Steve Strobel, also was arrested Tuesday in Barrow County and charged with obstruction of justice and giving false statements related to the fire investigation. He also is listed as a suspect.

Back when the original story hit, in our local rag, the AJC (Atlanta Journal Constitution), the comments on the story were predominately critical of the people of Forsyth County, and expressed a belief that the majority of the folks who lived there were bigots and racists, mostly because they didn't vote for Obama.

At the time of the incident, the head of the Forsyth County Democratic Party said this:

Last night, Marie Anderson, chairman of the Forsyth County Democratic Party, put out this statement:

”In response to the recent house fire which occurred in Forsyth County and is suspected to have been racially motivated, the Forsyth County Democratic Party condemns hate crimes of any nature.

“Should the allegations prove to be true, we as residents of Forsyth County, whether Republican or Democrat, Obama supporter or not, should be shocked and appalled that this type of incident would happen here in our County.”

Barack Orders Pentagon To Reduce Budget

Not quite the 25% Barney Frank was looking for but it definitely tells you what his priorities are and how he will pursue the war on terror. Late tonight comes word that he has directed the Pentagon to reduce it's budget for 2010 by at least 10%.

So while he can spend trillions to combat STD's, build golf courses, and prop up Hollywood, national security seems to be low on the priority list. Liberals like Code Pink no doubt are going to be thrilled by this turn of events.

A senior US defense official tells Fox tonight that the Joint Chiefs have been asked to cut the Pentagon's budget request for FY 2010 defense budget by more than 10 percent - about 55 billion dollars.

Sleep tight America, there may not be too many days left or nights that you can.

So Much For All That Transparency

Remember way back when? You know, somewhere around January 21 or so when all the Dems were talking a good game about having transparency in government and none was a bigger spokesperson for this then The One, The Messiah, Mr HopeandChange himself, Barack Obama.

Well, just like everything else he has said or promised to reassure those who might be skeptical of him and his socialists leanings, he has also started to backtrack on this pie in the sky talk.

The White House has silently tripled the number of Web pages that it forbids Google and other search engines from accessing.

Can't have those nasty searches of the White House web sites now, can we? There has already been so many instances of the Obama cult scrubbing websites when embarrassing items are discovered or things disappearing when his actions don't meet his words, so this shouldn't be that big a surprise to those who have been chronicling these acts.

Those bloggers drunk on hope who desperately wanted to see proof of Obama's commitment to his campaign promises of transparency and Google Government now find themselves with a difficult choice: they can either accept and acknowledge that robots.txt files are not a set of digital tea leaves through which you can read the new administration, or, if robots.txt does carry weight, they can try to come up with a way of explaining a 200 percent increase in the number of directories blocked by Obama's Web team as anything but Cheney-esque secrecy.

I wonder how much his good buddies from Google are helping them in crafting these robot blocking files?

Obama's First Phone Call As President Went To???

Fatah leader and current alleged Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas was the first person supposedly called by the dear leader. That is Abbas on the right in the picture above shaking the hand of the current Hamas leader Haniyeh. The difference between these two is that Haniyeh wants Israel wiped off the map now and Abbas is willing to take the slow death by a thousand cuts approach to wiping Israel off the map.

Strange choice to say the least. Couldn't he find an ally? What does this mean for Israel? I think it is pretty clear who's side he will take in future matters related to the Palestine/Israel problems.

He did call President Mubarak of Egypt, Ehud Olmert,Prime Minister of Israel, and King Abdullah of Jordan. Think Middle East issues are at the top of his foreign relations list?

How long before we see more pictures of Nancy Pelosi sitting down with the chinless ophthalmologist Assad in Syria?

Or in this case will it be ACORN which fells "The One"? Will this finally be the last straw that breaks the camels back? Will Americans finally get outraged over the apparent attempts by liberals to steal elections? Will they finally realize that the guerrilla tactics employed by groups like ACORN contributed to our financial crisis in the mortgage market?

I Will Not Be Silenced

So much for Saturday's being slow news days. There is now a brouhaha shaping up spurred on by a Democrat representative from Georgia by the name of John Lewis. He is no stranger to the race wars.

Here is a chronology of events so far today.

First it is Lewis shooting off his mouth.

"As one who was a victim of violence and hate during the height of the Civil Rights Movement, I am deeply disturbed by the negative tone of the McCain-Palin campaign. What I am seeing today reminds me too much of another destructive period in American history. Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin are sowing the seeds of hatred and division, and there is no need for this hostility in our political discourse.

"During another period, in the not too distant past, there was a governor of the state of Alabama named George Wallace who also became a presidential candidate. George Wallace never threw a bomb. He never fired a gun, but he created the climate and the conditions that encouraged vicious attacks against innocent Americans who only desired to exercise their constitutional rights. Because of this atmosphere of hate, four little girls were killed one Sunday morning when a church was bombed in Birmingham, Alabama.

"As public figures with the power to influence and persuade, Sen. McCain and Governor Palin are playing with fire, and if they are not careful, that fire will consume us all. They are playing a very dangerous game that disregards the value of the political process and cheapens our entire democracy. We can do better. The American people deserve better."

Mr Lewis never accused Hillary Clinton, who he supported at first, of any such thing when she was making the same statements.

The McCain camp, to their credit, hit back demanding that the Obama denounce such talk.

Well, now the Obama has issued a statement. Doesn't sound like they renounced anything.

Senator Obama does not believe that John McCain or his policy criticism is in any way comparable to George Wallace or his segregationist policies. But John Lewis was right to condemn some of the hateful rhetoric that John McCain himself personally rebuked just last night, as well as the baseless and profoundly irresponsible charges from his own running mate that the Democratic nominee for President of the United States pals around with terrorists. As Barack Obama has said himself, the last thing we need from either party is the kind of angry, divisive rhetoric that tears us apart at a time of crisis when we desperately need to come together. That is the kind of campaign Senator Obama will continue to run in the weeks ahead, said Obama-Biden spokesman Bill Burton.

Did she hit a nerve? I will not be silenced by the race card or intimidated into some sort of white guilt by the race warlords. You want anger, Barry O? Does anger scare you? You want to know what people are angry about? It is all of your associations, not just William Ayers. How about Tony Rezko? Bernadette Dohrn? Jeremiah Wright? Jeffrey Pfleger?

Are your internal polls indicating something the public polls aren't? Are you really losing this race in spite of all of your assistance from the media?

You say you want this to be about issues, yet when asked about issues, which is rare, you evade and go off and tell us what a wonderful government program you are waiting to impose to solve all of our problems.

We are angry because you surround yourself with people who act as an echo chamber, constantly telling you how great you are, while at the same time embracing the most radical fringes of your party. Have you ever denounced anything MoveOn has done? Have you ever criticized what passes for comments over on those favorite liberal blogs of yours like the Daily Kos and Democratic Underground? Did you ever condemn any of the liberal columnists or radio personalities who openly wished for the death of Bush or Cheney?

Maybe you ought to clean up your own side of the aisle before you come over picking a fight on the other side.

Grassroots Smear Against Palin Pure Astroturf

But it is Astroturf with some serious divots. It appears that videos that were once posted to YouTube claiming Sarah Palin had ties to the Alaskan Independance Party weren't quite what they seem. By the way, while people are digging around can somebody find some stuff on BettyLu Saltzman? Who is she? She is the person credited with introducing David Axelrod, Obama's campaign manager and master of the Astroturfing, and Barack Obama. Other then a story about that and one where she convinced Barack to give a speech to an anti-war rally in 2002 in Chicago, I can find very little about her, and yet both stories I have found mention what a powerful force she is in Chicago politicial circles, especially in regards to fund raising.
