Okay I watched it so you don't have to and here are my takeaways. First off everything that you consider mean, evil or bad can be directly tied to the war in Iraq, from Medicare to farm subsidies. Once again they tried to one up each other on who could get out of Iraq the fastest. They tried to bash Bush, I feel sorry for them when they find out he isn't on the ballot this time. So here are basic responses to the key questions put to them. Oh don't be silly there wasn't nothing about radical Islamists or illegal immigration. They also did a lot of pandering to the teachers union.
First general policy statements.
Biden End war now, abandon Bush policy on prisoners, health insurance for all, and pre school education
Richardson, - all troops out in year no residual troops left, universal health care, something on energy and slap on current policies handling prisoners and the Patriot Act
Dodd - Change discourse in politics, robust diplomacy in ME, health care and energy, form committee
Edwards - End the war, close Gitmo, fight for health care reform, call on Americans to take America back and oh yeah corporate greed
Clinton - End war, end era of cowboy diplomacy, rescind executive orders, end Bush’s war on science.
Here we go. Lame question time
New Years Resolution
Hillary - Exercise and campaign harder
Edwards - No resolution, pleading about hungry children, begging for health care and daddy's losing jobs
Dodd - Want to see country regain "moral authority"
Richardson - Lose weight, end congress and president dysfunctional relationship
Biden - Remember when things were bad
Obama - Better husband and father
Oh yeah and just because I can here is a new video clip from FredStates showing Fred's greatest hits from yesterday.
