Another HuffPost Cretin Questions McCain's Military Service

We're constantly being lectured about the ugly discourse of American politics, though from what I see it's all coming from one side. As a candidate, John McCain has bent over backwards not to get into gutter sniping with Barack Obama, and if anything is going more out of his way to pander to Democrats than he is the Republican base.

Recently, the media has gone out of their way to deliberately misconstrue the whole "Whitey" Michelle Obama tape that was pushed entirely by a leftwing blog and Democrat operatives on television. Though in the bizarro world we live in, it's now flipped on its head and we're told Rush Limbaugh invented the whole thing.

Though for sheer ugliness, nothing tops the cesspools of the leftwing blog sites. The bilge that oozes from the sewer know as Daily Kos is bad enough, but for downright nastiness, nothing can top the Huffington Post.

Yesterday we noted this outlandish item basically wishing John McCain dead. Now we have another hitpiece disguised as "investigative journalism" questioning McCain's military service.

It's not enough that they call anyone who didn't serve chickenhawks. Now if you did serve, and heroically, I might add, they disparage your record.

These are truly ugly people.

So we now have Democrat media surrogates trashing McCain at every turn, a former Vice President hysterically bashing the President while appearing with the unity candidate last night, and the media smearing conservatives by making up stories about them, all while John McCain plays the nice guy and reaches out the the left.

Of course, any attempt at criticizing the incredibly thin resume of Barack Obama is met with cries of smears, racism and all sorts of indignity.

The left has spent the better part of the last eight years engaged in the most vile forms of character assassination against George W. Bush, and Bush has done nothing but act in a dignified manner, never once whining about things being unfair.

The left is practiced at the art of defamation and projection while even the mildest critique of them is met with feigned outrage and indignation.

It would be refreshing is some adults on the left urged their brethren to call a time out, though that would assume there are some adults over there.

So while the Democrat candidate calls for healing and unity, he might want to stop being so duplicitous and start urging his own people to take a look in the mirror.

Even more absurd is when John Kerry's military record was called into question by the men he served with, we never heard the end of cries of Swiftboating! Yet now McCain is fair game.

Can you say hypocrisy?

Naturally, the commenters who reside in some alternate reality are more than eager to pile on.
After what the neo-cons did to Kerry's sterling war record nothing would be sweeter than to attack McBush wear he believes he is strongest: Military Record. However, this should be what seperates us from them, why we are better than them, and more fit to run this country. We don't get caught up in the politics of personal attacks, we have plenty to work with when he opens his mouth.
Amazing.

Now when it comes to nasty, is there anyone who can compete with the vile creatures from MoveOn?

Just witness (H/T Hot Air).

Nothing like taking a lie and repeating it over and over again.

Update: Seems you don't even have to go to the PuffHost or Kos to get your daily does of bilge.

Just visit the Obama website.

Astonishing.
