Iran Unclenches Fist, Charges Three Americans With Spying

Thank goodness the Muslim world loves us again with Dear Leader Obama in charge. After all his outreach we now have Army soldiers of Muslim faither shooting up fellow soldiers and now we have the Iranians charging American citizens with spying.

Nothing like humiliating us on the world stage to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Iranian hostage crisis.

Iran has charged three detained U.S. citizens with espionage, the official IRNA news agency quoted a judiciary official as saying on Monday.

"The three are charged with espionage. Investigations continue into the three detained Americans in Iran," Tehran general prosecutor Abbas Jafari Dolatabadi said.

The three were held after they strayed into Iran from northern Iraq at the end of July.

The three, Shane Bauer, 27, Sarah Shourd, 31, and Josh Fattal, 27, crossed into Iranian territory nearly two months ago. Their families say they strayed across the border accidentally.

The Iranians aren't stupid. They saw us pander to the North Koreans in order to get Al Gore's employees freed. You can be sure Obama will be dancing to whatever tune they play in this case. He may not have any choice.

Under Iran's Islamic sharia law, espionage is punishable by death.

As with the Roxana Saberi case, these hostages will no doubt have some diplomatic value.
