Obama Using Gadhafi's Big Tent

I. Can. Not. Believe. This.

Who the hell is running the show at the White House? Obama is going to hold a state dinner outside in a tent. What the hell? Is Gadhafi his hero or something?

The purpose of state dinners is to show off the White House and to lavish your guests with good food in a relaxed atmosphere surrounded by the accouterments of your office. Instead, he is going to have the Indian Prime Minister and a bunch of Hollywood celebs kibitzing in a tent on the lawn of the White House.
Whereas President George W. Bush would hold his 140-person dinners in the formal state dining room, the Obamas have broken with recent tradition by taking a "big tent" approach that will accommodate 400.

Secrecy surrounds the event with the White House jealously guarding details of the guest list and menu, though produce from Mrs Obama's new vegetable garden is expected to be used and curry is suspected by some to be on the menu for the first time.
Bowing to Asian leaders, going on a worldwide apology tour, unable to make a decision on how fast he wants to surrender in Afghanistan and now treating other heads of state like some sort of homeless person at a Thanksgiving meal have certainly sealed his credentials as the Worst President Evah.

No, he is not using Gadhafi's tent, but the parallels couldn't be more apparent.

UPDATE: Just adding more insult to injury I found this picture on the front page of the Drudge Report.

For those not familiar with flag etiquette, the United States flag is never to be flown lower then another country's flag and it should never be dipped. When it is displayed alongside flags of other nations it must be the same height or higher. The flag as depicted in this picture is dipped, think of it as a bow.
