So What Were MSNBC's Ratings?

Eric Boehlert rambles on endlessly over at Media Matters trying to debunk the fact that rating for Fox News have gone up since the Obama White House declared war on them by saying, "Hey their ratings are always this high."

There is a lot of circular logic involved and he is to be commended for writing such a lengthy article about nothing. I can only assume he is getting paid by the word and with the holidays approaching he needed some more cash to replenish his tin foil supply.
Another example of the Beltway press not letting the facts get in the way of a good story? It sure looks that way. In this case, we saw nearly universal agreement among media elites that the White House decision to publicly call out Fox News was monumentally dumb, thin-skinned, short-sighted, and uncivil. (Paging the etiquette police!)
Our friend Allahpundit from Hot Air even got a shout-out, which is sure to put him in competition with his co-blogger Ed Morrissey for Uberdunce's Worst Person in the World list.
The Business Insider report was quickly trumpeted by right-wing blogger Allahpundit, who belittled the administration: "Good work, Barry."
Funny little thing, though. For all his pontificating about how Fox didn't get a boost in the ratings, he fails to mention the other cable network ratings. You know, maybe as a way of giving us something to compare them to.
