Name That Party, NYS Assembly Edition

You would figure the New York Times, with their vast resources and layer upon layer of editorial fact-checkers, would know what party this convict belonged to.
Former State Assemblyman Anthony Seminerio of Queens, who admitted taking hundreds of thousands of dollars in payoffs from people or organizations that had business before the state, was sentenced Thursday morning to six years in prison by a federal judge in Manhattan.

Mr. Seminerio, 74, who represented the 38th District in southwest Queens for more than 30 years, pleaded guilty to the corruption charges last June. Federal prosecutors said that from 1999 to 2008, he sold his services as a lawmaker to “clients” through a shell company called Marc Consultants.
He was in office for 30 years so you would think in that period the Times might have been able to figure out he's a Democrat. Guess it's just a minor oversight.

Meanwhile, the Daily News also is in the dark as to Seminerio's party affiliation.

A veteran New York assemblyman accused of pocketing $1 million from people who did business with the state has been sentenced to six years in prison.
Just a veteran assemblyman, that's all.

Even in his own borough they have no idea he's a Democrat.

Maybe the New York Observer. They're usually on top of thing.

Nope, they don't know either.

Four stories, all current, and none bother mentioning he's a Democrat. And the media wonders why so few trust them.
