W.O.R.D. UP! Story Time With Reverend Al

Pity these poor kids.
Move over, Barney and Big Bird. It's story time with the Rev. Al Sharpton.

The frequently fiery civil rights activist will tone it down to warm and fuzzy this Saturday when he reads to kids at the Brooklyn Children's Museum.

"With all of the protest and bombast, the underbelly is that I'm sensitive and care about these kids," Sharpton said.

"If I can impress upon just one kid that you can become something in life, but you've got to start now and develop habits like reading, then it's worth me doing it."

Sharpton's appearance will kick off a new reading series at the museum called "W.O.R.D. UP! Words of Real Distinction" that will invite high profile community members to read to children.
Nothing like bringing in a slimy racist goon to read to kids. Maybe David Duke will be next.
