Bristol Palin Kicks Off TV Career

Considering ther frothing rage that consumes the left every time her mother shows up on television, I wonder whether they'll have anything left when Bristol Palin makes here series television debut?
While her mom was reportedly out looking for a reality show, Bristol Palin was working on her own TV debut.

The 19-year-old daughter of former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin filmed her scene on ABC Family's The Secret Life of the American Teenager this week during the mother-daughter visit to Los Angeles – then made a splash at a pre-Oscar party.

Working on a closed set to protect her privacy, the single mom played herself Tuesday – but as the fictional friend of Shailene Woodley's character Amy. The episode airs in June or July.

"Despite the fact that her family has been beaten up in the press for the past few years, Bristol was willing to step out of her comfort zone and try something new, and I really respect that," the show's creator and executive producer Brenda Hampton tells PEOPLE. "She's a beautiful and intelligent young woman who is also really sweet."
This is sure to drive kook blogger Andrew Sullivan even more insane than he already is.

Meanwhile, all those made up stories about the Palins grabbing too much swag the other day turn out to be, well, made up.
"The stories currently circulating about Governor Palin’s attendance at our event are total fabrications," partner Melissa Lemer said in a statement from Silver Spoon.

"We would like an immediate retraction and an apology to The Silver Spoon, its vendors, and especially to Governor Sarah Palin."

To paraphrase Lemer, who said she personally escorted Palin around the suite: Oh no she didn't demand vendors open early just for her, didn't scoop up 40 sets of headphones, didn't behave like "locusts."
Retraction? From liberal gossips sites? Don't expect them any time soon.
