Let's face it, babes in bikinis usually mean bigger sales for magazines. We also figure the editors of this Canadian magazine are also on the draw and haven't realized they've fallen for this climate change scam and believe it may lead to a revenue boost.
Whatever the case, I guess the idea is these girls are so hot they're melting ice or something.
Up Here magazine is raising some eyebrows while some bathing suit models are shedding their clothes in the cold climate. It's also one of the the greatest hoaxes of all time, but we already knew that.
The July/August edition of the Arctic magazine is a swimsuit edition.
"Why is this bikini model in our climate change issue? Because the North is melting - and she wants you to open your eyes," the cover reads. "Ten bold women, 10 threatened landscapes."
The cover also shows a young woman wearing a green bikini and wearing a coat while standing on snow-covered ground.
Editor Aaron Spitzer said they were taking from a known magazine convention - swimsuit editions, similar to what Sports Illustrated puts out - but with a twist because they wanted to ensure the photos were part of the story surrounding climate change.
He also told QMI Agency they needed to approach their climate change edition in a new way.
"Climate change is probably the most important issue happening in the North," he said. "It's also one of the most covered stories in the world."
