Scott Brown: The Fake Photos of Dead bin Laden I Saw Should Not Be Released!

I have to give Obama credit. He's managed to fumble away the good will of the American public in record time. He's got plenty of company as well.
U.S. Sen. Scott Brown — who said earlier today that he saw a picture of Osama bin Laden taken after he was killed — fell victim to a fake photo of the al-Qaeda leader’s death that made the rounds after U.S. forces shot him on Sunday.

“The photo that I saw and that a lot of other people saw is not authentic,” Brown said in a statement.

A staffer added that the Wrentham Republican obtained the photo from what he believed to be “a reliable source.” The staffer said Brown was briefed on the raid by Obama administration officials, but those officials did not show him any pictures.

Brown told NECN earlier today that he’s seen the photos and that he doesn’t believe they should be released.

The White House announced they would not be releasing the photos. In transcripts from “60 Minutes” sent to the Herald, President Obama said they debated the issue, but keeping the images under wraps won out.

“You know we discussed this internally. Keep in mind that we are absolutely certain this was him. We’ve done DNA sampling and testing. And and so there is no doubt that we killed Osama bin Laden,” Obama tells CBS. “It is important for us to make sure that very graphic photos of somebody who was shot in the head are not floating around as an incitement to additional violence.”

He added: “There’s no need to spike the football.”
Says the man who famously declared "I won" and then did a touchdown dance in front of Republicans.

I would just love to have seen the reaction if bin Laden was iced during the Bush administration and Bush played some childish game like this.

So they won't release a bin Laden photo, but it's apparently OK to release this one to Reuters.

compound where al Qaeda leader bin Laden was killed in Abbottabad
Perhaps Obama thinks he being cute and wants to play another birth certificate game, but the American people want to see dead bin Laden, and we will.

Reuters apparently yanked the photos, but not before we grabbed that one. The White House has strict rules. You can't show dead terrorists or write mildly critical articles about Michelle Obama. Prisoners allegedly abused by U.S. soldiers, though, that's cool with President Fumbles.

Update: It was a Pakistani official gladly gave up some photos to Reuters, not the schmucks at the White House.

The rest are here. Yes, there's blood, but nothing worse than any scary movie you've ever seen. Or worse than our fellow Americans leaping 100 stories to their death.

Aw, what the heck, here are two more:

Personally, I'm fine with no pics of a dead bin Laden being released. Not that I agree with Obama's reasoning. Here's mine: If a bunch of terrorists want to waste their time following a ghost, I'm good with that. I personally don't care if the terrorists believe bin Laden is alive or dead. Them not knowing is not bad for our side.

Having said that, if the U.S. would benefit from it, especially in a tactical or psychological way, I'm all for it.
