Report: Weiner Checking Into Rehab

Gee, I wonder what this could be about?
The House Democratic leader, Nancy Pelosi, on Saturday called on Representative Anthony D. Weiner to resign, underscoring the growing concern among Democrats that his online exchanges with women had become a distraction for the party.

Representative Steve J. Israel, Democrat of New York, also called on Mr. Weiner to step down, saying that he clearly needed to seek treatment for “inappropriate behavior.”

“I pray for his family and hope that Anthony will take time to get the help he needs without the distractions and added pressures of Washington,” Mr. Israel said.

At the same time, two senior Democratic officials said on Saturday that Mr. Weiner was planning to check himself into a treatment center.
C'mon, Tony, what happened to being the scrappy fighter? Don't run away! You're more popular than ever now on Twitter.

Update: Confirmed. He's off for some kind of treatment. I didn't know they treatment for total douchebaggery.
Lusty lawmaker Anthony Weiner will be checking into a treatment center - just as two of the country's most powerful Democrats simultaneously called for him to quit.

Weiner will be seeking help in the sexting scandal that has put his career on life-support, according to political sources.

It was not immediately clear what sort of treatment Weiner will receive, the sources said. His office is expected to put out a statement later Saturday.
He's not resigning. Probably couldn't afford "treatment" otherwise.
“Congressman Weiner departed this morning to seek professional treatment to focus on becoming a better husband and healthier person,” Weiner’s office said in a statement provided to POLITICO. “In light of that, he will request a short leave of absence from the House of Representatives so that he can get evaluated and map out a course of treatment to make himself well. Congressman Weiner takes the views of his colleagues very seriously and has determined that he needs this time to get healthy and make the best decision possible for himself, his family and his constituents.”
Now he's the victim. Criticize this turd and you'll be called insensitive for picking on a "sick" man.

Weineritis is a chronic, progressive disease and is incurable
