Good News: Obama Front Group Out With First Post-Election Attack Ad

Well, that didn't take long. I could see something like this coming once the new Congress was sworn in, but two weeks after the drubbing the Democrats just took?
The ceasefire in political advertising since Election Day ended on Friday, as a liberal group went up with a new ad hitting the GOP on tax cuts.

Americans United for Change released a new television ad casting congressional Republicans as acting at the behest of monied corporate interests when it comes to the expiring tax cuts, unemployment benefits, and other major issues before Congress.

The ad will run on national cable over the weekend and on local cable stations in Washington, D.C., and is intended in particular to set up the White House summit later this month between President Obama and congressional leaders in both parties.

"On the campaign trail, Republicans and their corporate backers paid a lot of lip service to the Tea Party crowd about reining in the deficit," said Tom McMahon, the executive director of AUFC. "But back in Washington, what’s the very first order of business? Blowing a Texas-sized hole in the deficit by extending the Bush tax breaks for Wall Street bankers and millionaires."
To no surprise, this crew is one of many Democrat front groups, formerly run by the man who is now the DNC Communications Director.
Brad Woodhouse as of February 2009, is the Director of Communications and Research for the Democratic National Committee, now the home of Barack Obama's massive fundraising and email list known as Organizing for America. Woodhouse was most recently president of Americans United for Change, communications director for USAction, and listed as a press contact for Americans Against Escalation in Iraq.
Surely you'll be shocked to discover the tentacles of George Soros involved with this outfit.

Running Scared: Lefty Group To Air Ad Asking 'Will You Side With Obama or Rush Limbaugh?'

All part of the endless campaign to demonize conservatives. After only ten days in office and with public approval of their crap sandwich "stimulus" sham crumbling, Obama and company are getting weak in the knees and are taking to the airwaves to try up drive a wedge between Republicans and their leader, Rush Limbaugh.

I thought King Obama was so popular and could pass legislation through the sheer magnitude of his charm and charisma? Why do these socialist groups need to buy airtime to trash the opposition?
President Obama and a key outside ally are stepping up efforts to ensure passage of the massive economic stimulus package, reaching out to Congress with both carrots and sticks.

While the president and his top aides are using all the trappings of the office, courting members through phone calls, cocktail parties, West Wing sit-downs and even a politically mixed Super Bowl party, liberal groups are dispensing with the niceties and seeking to drive a wedge between Republicans and one of the right’s most influential leaders.

Politico has learned that tomorrow Americans United for Change, a liberal group, will begin airing radio ads in three states Obama won — Ohio, Pennsylvania and Nevada — with a tough question aimed at the GOP senators there: Will you side with Obama or Rush Limbaugh?

“Every Republican member of the House chose to take Rush Limbaugh’s advice,” says the narrator after playing the conservative talk radio giant’s declaration that he hopes Obama “fails.”

“Every Republican voted with Limbaugh — and against creating 4 million new American jobs. We can understand why a extreme partisan like Rush Limbaugh wants President Obama’s Jobs program to fail — but the members of Congress elected to represent the citizens in their districts? That’s another matter. Now the Obama plan goes to the Senate, and the question is: Will our Senator"—here the ad is tailored by state to name George Voinovich in Ohio, Arlen Specter in Pennsylvania, and John Ensign in Nevada—"side with Rush Limbaugh too?”

Asked to respond, Limbaugh had a message for his party.

“Senate Republicans need to understand this is not about me,” he wrote in an email. “It is about them, about intimidating them, especially after the show of unity in House. It is about the 2010 and 2012 elections. This is an opportunity for Republicans to redefine themselves after a few years of wandering aimlessly looking for a ‘brand’ and identity.”
Rush is right and the Democrats know it. If they're so confident about this entitlement boondoggle, why not go out and promote it rather than try and frighten Americans?

Pathetic Leftwing Fringe Group to Spend $8.5 Million Bashing Bush

These nutcases pretend to care so much about the poor and the homeless, so wouldn't it be money better spent if they donated it to charity?

Besides, when you have 99.8% of the media bashing Bush on a daily basis, spending this kind of coin is rather superfluous.

Although, I guess this confirms the fact Bush Derangement Syndrome indeed is a mental illness.

So sad.
A liberal advocacy group plans to spend $8.5 million in a drive to ensure that President Bush's public approval doesn't improve as his days in the White House come to an end.

Americans United for Change plans to undertake a yearlong campaign, spending the bulk of the money on advertising, to keep public attention on what the group says are the Bush administration's failures, including the war in Iraq, the response to Hurricane Katrina and the current mortgage crisis.

In selling the plan to fundraisers, the group has argued that support for President Reagan was at a low of 42 percent in 1987 but climbed to 63 percent before he left office. "All of a sudden he became a rallying cry for conservatives and their ideology," said Brad Woodhouse, the group's president. "Progressives are still living with that."

The group is a nonprofit corporation that made a splash by airing ads against Bush's plans to overhaul Social Security in 2005. The group has conducted polls and focus groups and is now raising money for their anti-Bush effort. It gave a Power Point presentation last week to representatives of about 30 liberal and labor organizations.

It planned to announce the campaign at a press conference Thursday afternoon during a forum featuring liberal critics of the administration. It also aims to air its first ad before Bush's State of the Union speech on Monday.

Woodhouse said one goal is to make sure Bush does not enjoy a resurgence in public approval toward the end of his presidency that could help Republican congressional candidates and the GOP presidential nominee in this year's elections.
What does this moron Woodhouse propose if Bush's approval increases with hindsight once he leaves office? Considering the disaster another Clinton administration would bestow upon us, it's safe to say Bush will really be looking good in a couple of years.
