Alan Grayson: A National Embarrassment

The poster boy for the modern Democratic Party. He's yours, kids. You own him.

Now he's even an international embarrassment.

The mental patient now has to answer to a subpoena. Not content with his self-immolating ads, now the idiot is trying to goad Sarah Palin. Who Grayson follows on Twitter speaks volumes. He's obviously desperate now that his ads have backfired.
"Yesterday, Sarah Palin once again engaged in her chosen form of mortal combat - the tweet - by attacking me, and endeavoring to promote my Republican opponent, Daniel Webster, to Palin's zombie horde," the note read.

"What is it about Sarah Palin and Twitter? Is Palin fond of tweeting because she can draft a tweet on her palm?"

Palin had tweeted about Grayson and his race twice Thursday morning, calling him "odd" and "troubled" and his campaign "twisted."

"[Grayson] blatantly lies in vile rant, but greedy media run it anyway w/no fact check," she said. "Florida deserves the best! ... Take pride in Daniel Webster."

A poll conducted Sept. 25-27 showed Webster leading Grayson by seven points.

'This Is What the Marines of the Marine Corps League Find Inexcusable and Despicable'

There's apparently no level these desperate Democrats won't sink to. Here we have the unhinged Florida Congressman Alan Grayson trying to claim his GOP opponent is a draft dodger while implying that he's endorsed by the Marine Corps League. Now I always thought it no longer mattered to the public if anyone dodged the draft during Vietnam? Of course Grayson's opponent didn't dodge the draft, but hey, why bother with facts? It goes without saying if Daniel Webster did serve Grayson would probably be calling him a baby killer.

Needless to say, the Marines aren't amused.
For the last week, Florida Rep. Alan Grayson has been airing a hard-hitting TV ad casting GOP opponent Daniel Webster as a Vietnam draft-dodger.

Now, a veterans group is joining the fray – only it’s Grayson, not Webster, they’re upset with.

In a one-page letter to Grayson, Bill Backes, the Florida commandant of the Marine Corps League, excoriates the congressman for featuring a still shot of a smiling Grayson alongside a veteran wearing Marine Corps League attire – an image, Backes argues, that wrongfully suggests the group has endorsed Grayson.

“[What the Marine Corps League finds offensive is that you, Congressman Grayson, used these pictures in political and TV ads to further your campaign for reelection, thereby subconsciously saying to the public that the Marine Corps League supports Alan Grayson,” writes Backes. “This is what the Marines of the Marine Corps League find inexcusable and despicable.”

Backes also notes that, as a 501c organization, the group cannot legally endorse any candidate or party, and concludes: “The Marine Corps League strongly insists that this ad be removed from further showing.”
Here's Grayson with the equally insane Ed Schultz yesterday.

Grayson pretends he's up by 13 points, although the veracity of that is very much in question. If he's boasting about a poll where as an incumbent he's getting 40% then I'll have some of what he's smoking.

Toys for Liberals

Considering liberalism is a mental illness, the kiddies on the left now have their own special toys to play with.
A GERMAN toymaker is selling a range of soft toys, each of which has their own psychiatric disorder.

The toys range from Dub, a turtle who suffers depression, to Kroko, a crocodile with an acute phobia of water, as well as an hallucinating snake called Sly and a sheep called Dolly who has a personality disorder, Metro newspaper in London reports.

"It started as a bit of a joke with my girlfriend, who has lots of soft toys, and then we thought there could be something in the idea," said toymaker Martin Kittsteiner, 36, of Hamburg.

"Children and grown ups like their vulnerability and find something in them that gives them a great sense of comfort in helping to heal them.

"I think some adults see it as a form of therapy for themselves."
Maybe someone can send Charles Johnson the hallucinating snake.

It's Come to This: Report Says Global Warming May Cause Cancer and Mental Illness

Actually, I think it's a mental illness if you believe in the global warming scam.
A new government report says global warming could lead to an increase in both cancer and mental illness worldwide, and it calls for more federally funded research to determine how that might happen.

The report, A Human Health Perspective on Climate Change, was published by the Interagency Working Group on Climate Change and Health – a combination of scientists from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, NIH, State Department, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Department of Agriculture, the EPA, and the Department of Health and Human Services.
Oh yeah, let's dump more money down the government research rathole trying to justify this massive hoax.

So how can this cause mental illness? By driving people nuts with endless stories about this hoax? Driving them insane when they realize they've been had by the warmers?
The possible mental health conditions that could be caused by global warming range from irritability to Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, sexual dysfunction, and drug abuse.

“The most common mental health conditions associated with extreme events range from acute traumatic stress to more chronic stress-related conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder, complicated grief, depression, anxiety disorders, somatic complaints, poor concentration, sleep difficulties, sexual dysfunction, social avoidance, irritability, and drug or alcohol abuse,” reads the report.
It's official. Global warming is responsible for everything.

Kooky Ayatollah: Extramarital Sex Causes Earthquakes

Here all this time I thought it was the power of Deepak Chopra's meditation that caused the ground to rumble.

Apparently not.
A SENIOR Iranian cleric has claimed that dolled-up women incite extramarital sex, causing more earthquakes in Iran, a country that straddles several fault lines, newspapers reported today.

"Many women who dress inappropriately ... cause youths to go astray, taint their chastity and incite extramarital sex in society, which increases earthquakes," Ayatollah Kazem Sedighi told worshippers at overnight prayers in Tehran.

"Calamities are the result of people's deeds," he was quoted as saying by reformist Aftab-e Yazd newspaper.

"We have no way but conform to Islam to ward off dangers."

Just 'Plane Stupid': Environmental Wackos Slaughter Polar Bears

Really helping their cause.
Airline pollution activists Plane Stupid are on a collision course with the advertising regulator after launching a graphic cinema campaign that sees CGI polar bears falling to bloody deaths to highlight the impact of carbon emissions.

Plane Stupid's ad, which breaks in cinemas and online today, features dozens of animated polar bears falling from the sky onto a city centre, bouncing off skyscrapers and landing in the street and on the roof of a car, accompanied by blood-spurting special effects.

The only sound, apart from the bone-crunching thump of the impacts, is the steadily increasing whine of a jet airliner's engines.
I guess since the polar bear population has increased so much in recent years they felt the need to kill some off.

Wrong Number Leads to Quick Divorce

Now that we live in a Muslim country, all you ladies out there might want to make sure you see who's calling before you inadvertently answer the wrong phone call.
A 40-year-old man divorced his wife for answering a telephone call from a man who had mistakenly called her, a Saudi newspaper reported. After the wife received a call from someone who had got the number wrong, the husband snatched the phone and shouted at the man who then hung up. The husband then tried ringing the man, but found the phone switched off. The husband then began accusing his wife of having a relationship with the man. In turn, the woman tried to convince him that this was not the case. Unconvinced, the man immediately divorced her and sent her to her parents’ home.
I'd suggest Islam is a mental illness, but you probably knew that already.

'Please Make Me Look Like an Idiot for Asking These Questions'

Don't worry, you already look like one.
I begged the McCain campaign by private email and in a private meeting to give me something - anything - to kill the story off. I promised to run any evidence that would blow this out of the water. That offer still stands. Please make me look like an idiot for asking these questions. But they didn't offer a thing, asserting that even asking the question was an outrageous reputation-destroying offense. Maybe Michelle Malkin is right that this is truther, tin-foil hat territory.
Uh, yes, Michelle is right.

And you need help.

'Rescue Me' to Go 9/11 Troofer?

This would definitely turn me off the show I've enjoyed over the last few years. While I doubt Denis Leary would seriously entertain 9/11 Troofer crackpot conspiracy theories, is it possible his Troofer co-star Daniel Sunjata may be holding sway with the FX show. Hopefully any Troofer plot line is met with the appropriate scorn it deserves. I doubt Leary believes any of it.

According to Leary:
Let's get something straight -- Denis Leary is not one for conspiracy theories. However, last night at Book Soup to sign copies of his new book Why We Suck, the actor dropped plot details about the upcoming season of his hit series Rescue Me. Possibly an exclusive, what Leary disclosed is sure to rev up the 9/11 truth seekers who religiously TiVo the New York-based firefighter drama to see what post-traumatic, survivor's guilt head-space Leary's character will tailspin into next.

When asked by a hesitant fan as to whether or not the actor thought there should be a reinvestigation into the events leading up to and surrounding the 9/11 tragedy, Leary's eyes lit up as he revealed that conspiracy and reinvestigation into 9/11 are, in fact, major plot lines in the first 10 episodes of Rescue Me season 5, set to premiere in April 2009 for a 22-episode run on FX.

But when another fan pushed it too far and asked Leary's personal opinion about the conspiracy surrounding Building 7's collapse, the actor and author was quick with his response. "You guys don't want to get into that with me," Leary said, suddenly serious as he explained that he "knew several of the guys who had been there working to hold that building up." Leary then paused, politely changed the subject and returned to meeting fans.
Of course, any mention of 9/11 conspiracies brings the cranks out of the woodwork.
Perhaps Leary also knows some of the people who are on tape on 9/11 saying that the building is “about to blow up” too? Perhaps Leary can help explain how a massive skyscraper which had been structurally reinforced can implode within 7 seconds after suffering limited fires across no more than ten floors and in doing so completely defy the laws of physics?
...
The real hero in all of this is obviously Daniel Sunjata, who co-stars in Rescue Me. Sunjata has been a vocal advocate for the 9/11 truth movement in questioning 9/11 and he likely had a massive influence on the decision of the script writers to dramatize the issue.

The prevalence of 9/11 truth in a plethora of different mediums is exactly what is required to spread the truth and wake up people who would not necessarily come into contact with this information through the usual channels.
Mental illness gone mainstream.

Wonderful.

They're On to Us: 'Georgia war is a neocon election ploy'

If you ever needed further confirmation the far left is clinically insane, look no further than the psychotic ramblings of Robert Scheer.
Is it possible that this time the October surprise was tried in August, and that the garbage issue of brave little Georgia struggling for its survival from the grasp of the Russian bear was stoked to influence the U.S. presidential election?

Before you dismiss that possibility, consider the role of one Randy Scheunemann, for four years a paid lobbyist for the Georgian government, ending his official lobbying connection only in March, months after he became Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain's senior foreign policy adviser.

Previously, Scheunemann was best known as one of the neoconservatives who engineered the war in Iraq when he was a director of the Project for a New American Century. It was Scheunemann who, after working on the McCain 2000 presidential campaign, headed the Committee for the Liberation of Iraq, which championed the U.S. Iraq invasion.

There are telltale signs that he played a similar role in the recent Georgia flare-up. How else to explain the folly of his close friend and former employer, Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili, in ordering an invasion of the breakaway region of South Ossetia, which clearly was expected to produce a Russian counter-reaction. It is inconceivable that Saakashvili would have triggered this dangerous escalation without some assurance from influential Americans he trusted, like Scheunemann, that the United States would have his back. Scheunemann long guided McCain in these matters, even before he was officially running foreign policy for McCain's presidential campaign.

In 2005, while registered as a paid lobbyist for Georgia, Scheunemann worked with McCain to draft a congressional resolution pushing for Georgia's membership in NATO. A year later, while still on the Georgian payroll, Scheunemann accompanied McCain on a trip to that country, where they met with Saakashvili and supported his bellicose views toward Russia's Vladimir Putin.

Scheunemann is at the center of the neoconservative cabal that has come to dominate the Republican candidate's foreign policy stance in a replay of the run-up to the war against Iraq. These folks are always looking for a foreign enemy on which to base a new Cold War, and with the collapse of Saddam Hussein's regime, it was Putin's Russia that came increasingly to fit the bill.

Yes, it sounds diabolical, but that may be the most accurate way to assess the designs of the McCain campaign in matters of war and peace. There is every indication that the candidate's demonization of Putin is an even grander plan than the previous use of Hussein to fuel American militarism with the fearsome enemy that it desperately needs.
No, it doesn't sound diabolical. It sounds insane.

Read the rest if you have any brain cells left. He only uses the word neoconservative (read: evil Jew) three more times.

'Imminent Domain': Father Holds Son’s House Hostage

If Islam isn't a mental illness, can someone please explain this?
A young Saudi man did the right thing: Before marrying his betrothed, he rolled up his sleeves and built a house. But according to yesterday’s Okaz daily, the father of the man decided to take family liberties by claiming the house for his second wife. The problem started when the father decided to marry a second woman, but his first wife simply refused to allow the woman to live with her under the same roof. Seeing this shiny new house nearby that his son had built, he decided to claim it for his second wife. When the son expressed his opposition to his father’s claim to imminent domain, the father told his son he had two choices: Postpone his marriage or convince his mom to let the new mother-in-law live under the same roof. With his dreams for a summer marriage shattered, the son decided he would do both: Postpone his marriage and spend this year trying to convince his mom to take in the new wife.
Good luck with that.

Speaking of insanity, the Saudi vice police are out enforcing the ban on cats and dogs.

Yes, really.
“The ban was based on the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) saying that it’s forbidden to give or accept any money related to the selling or buying of dogs,” said Ahmed Al-Ghamdi, head of the commission in Makkah province.

“It’s also prohibited to keep a dog inside home. A dog can be owned for purposes of hunting, police duties, guarding houses and property, and by farmers for herding cattle and sheep,” he added.

But how will people find dogs that can be used for security or hunting purposes? “Like they used to in the old days,” said Al-Ghamdi after a pause.

Laith, a 25-year old pet owner, said he bought a new cat two days ago at a famous pet store in Jeddah. “Nothing has changed. All pet stores are still selling cats and dogs. It’s just one of those regulations that are issued, yet never implemented,” he said.

Muslims are discouraged from keeping dogs inside their homes because they are not considered clean animals. However, in two separate Hadiths narrated by Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), which means the cat-loving companion, the Prophet (pbuh) told his companions of the virtue of saving the life of a dog by quenching its thirst.

He referred to a man whom Allah blessed for giving water to a thirsty dog. And the other was a prostitute who filled her shoe with water and gave it to a thirsty dog. For this deed she was granted the eternal paradise.
I guess that really is the world's oldest profession.

On the Bright Side, Getting a Prom Date Should be a Snap

This is really sick.
An 11-year-old boy has married his 10-year-old cousin in the ultra-conservative Muslim kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a newspaper reported on Tuesday.

Mohammed al-Rashidi and his unidentified cousin will seal the marriage they contracted under the sharia laws of Islam and move in together after a ceremony to take place in the summer, Al-Shams newspaper said.

"I am ready for this marriage. It will help me study better," Mohammed, who goes to primary school in the northern province of Hail, was quoted as saying by Al-Shams.

"I invite all my classmates to do like me," the boy said, adding that he wanted to "crown a love story through marriage".

The schoolboy's father, Muraizak al-Rashidi, told the newspaper he was busy sending out invitations for a summer celebration to seal the marriage.

Religion of Peace, Forced Marriage and Gang Rape

Naturally, we'll be accused of intolerance and not respecting diversity for daring to question the insanity this poor girl was forced through.

Seriously, the more you examine it, it appears Islam is a mental illness, a disease for which there is no cure.

What kind of primordial savages resort to this?
A GIRL of 15 was tricked into a "telephone marriage" ceremony to a Sheffield man with a mental age of five in a ceremony recognised by sharia (Islamic law).

When the girl arrived from Pakistan expecting to meet the handsome man she had been shown in a photograph, she found that he was 40 years old, unemployed and disabled.

To make matters worse, her mother-in-law decided to exploit her attractive looks by forcing her into prostitution.

The family invited men to the family home to rape her before she managed to escape to the police by bolting through the front door. She was taken into care and now lives in a refuge.

The case is highlighted in a report by the Centre for Social Cohesion, which has found that policemen, councillors and taxi drivers are turning a blind eye or even conniving in enforcing the Asian community's strict "moral code" on young women.
Asian community? Please, I don't see the Japanese doing this stuff. Call them what they are: Muslims.
The girl's marriage last April was not recognised by the Home Office but was approved by the Islamic Sharia Council in Britain. She is typical of the runaway brides at risk of an "honour killing". According to official figures, 10 to 12 women are murdered in Britain in honour killings each year, but the government has been warned by MPs that this is a serious underestimate. Police often record the deaths as cases of domestic violence, while other girls are driven to suicide or taken away to their family's country of origin and never seen again. Many Asian parents would rather resort to violence against their children than see their reputation tarnished by the perceived dishonour of allowing them to become "westernised".

The report, Crimes of the Community, claims the problem is no longer an issue of first-generation migrants importing attitudes from "back home" but is "indigenous and self-perpetuating" because it is sustained by third and fourth-generation immigrants.

The study reveals the case of Saamiya, a 16-year-old girl from Birmingham, whose parents were so angry when they discovered she had a boyfriend that they flew her to Pakistan and told her they had arranged a marriage two hours before the ceremony.

"During the Islamic ceremony my dad was standing behind me with one hand on my shoulder and with his other hand he had a gun which was pointed at my back so that I didn't say 'no'," Saamiya said.

"To everyone else it looked natural — he was just standing there stroking my shoulder — but just before he had told me that he would shoot me if I didn't go through with it."
Sick stuff.

Sick people.

Pathetic Leftwing Fringe Group to Spend $8.5 Million Bashing Bush

These nutcases pretend to care so much about the poor and the homeless, so wouldn't it be money better spent if they donated it to charity?

Besides, when you have 99.8% of the media bashing Bush on a daily basis, spending this kind of coin is rather superfluous.

Although, I guess this confirms the fact Bush Derangement Syndrome indeed is a mental illness.

So sad.
A liberal advocacy group plans to spend $8.5 million in a drive to ensure that President Bush's public approval doesn't improve as his days in the White House come to an end.

Americans United for Change plans to undertake a yearlong campaign, spending the bulk of the money on advertising, to keep public attention on what the group says are the Bush administration's failures, including the war in Iraq, the response to Hurricane Katrina and the current mortgage crisis.

In selling the plan to fundraisers, the group has argued that support for President Reagan was at a low of 42 percent in 1987 but climbed to 63 percent before he left office. "All of a sudden he became a rallying cry for conservatives and their ideology," said Brad Woodhouse, the group's president. "Progressives are still living with that."

The group is a nonprofit corporation that made a splash by airing ads against Bush's plans to overhaul Social Security in 2005. The group has conducted polls and focus groups and is now raising money for their anti-Bush effort. It gave a Power Point presentation last week to representatives of about 30 liberal and labor organizations.

It planned to announce the campaign at a press conference Thursday afternoon during a forum featuring liberal critics of the administration. It also aims to air its first ad before Bush's State of the Union speech on Monday.

Woodhouse said one goal is to make sure Bush does not enjoy a resurgence in public approval toward the end of his presidency that could help Republican congressional candidates and the GOP presidential nominee in this year's elections.
What does this moron Woodhouse propose if Bush's approval increases with hindsight once he leaves office? Considering the disaster another Clinton administration would bestow upon us, it's safe to say Bush will really be looking good in a couple of years.
