FABULOUS: Director of National Intelligence James Clapper Can't Walk and Chew Gum At the Same Time

There is a perfectly good explanation for why our Director of National Intelligence didn't have a clue about the biggest anti-terrorist sweep in Britain in nearly two years when asked about it in a recent interview by Diane Sawyer.

The question was ambiguous.

Of course he was briefed, though. Geez!

OK, turns out he wasn't briefed - and Clapper was apparently too busy focusing on tensions between North and South Korea and the START treaty to even catch a headline about the widely reported arrests in London.

Georgia law enforcement has struck another blow against the illegal immigrant trade, this time by busting a counterfeiting ring which was producing drivers licenses, social security cards and other documents. The Social Security numbers being used were legitimate numbers of real citizens.

Cherokee County Sheriff’s investigators arrested Virginio Josue Jeronimo-Mejia, 23; Edilzar David Jeronimo-Diaz, 34; Marcos Juan Baltazar-Pedro, 32; and Sebastian Simon-Manuel, 32; Wednesday after searching their home at 104 Alexander Street.

All four were charged with multiple counts of second-degree forgery.

Diaz also was charged with driving without a license.

Authorities searched the home after a June 2 investigation of an apartment in Woodstock where they found counterfeit driver’s licenses, Social Security cards and Resident Alien cards that were being made.

At the Canton home, investigators said they found computers, printers, $400 in cash and counterfeit documents.

They also said they found letters from the Social Security Administration that were mailed to the Alexander Street address. Investigators said those letters indicate that some of the Social Security numbers on the counterfeit cards belong to actual United States citizens.

It is just another in a long string of victories in the battle against illegal aliens, all done without federal cooperation or involvement. More and more states need to wake up to the fact that it is going to rest upon them to fight this scourge. While liberals and our Imperial Federal Department of Justice and Homeland Security can take delight in attacking the sovereign state of Arizona for wanting to slow down the problem, it is painfully obvious to anybody not in an Obama induced stupor that more must be done and states and local governments need to go ahead and put on their big boy pants and 'Git 'er done'.

So while the Washington DC political elite can't hear or see anything outside of the beltway we continue to get stories of sections of our country now under the control of the Mexican drug lords and organized crime families that rival anything done by La Cosa Nostra or during the Roaring 20's and 30's by guys like Capone, another notorious Chicago gangster.

Fugitive Found Working for Homeland Security: 'It’s Amazing They Couldn’t Find Her. Good Lord'

Well, they were probably just making sure they met quotas and were in fear of being called racist if they did't give her a job. Nice to see the federal government doing the appropriate background checks.

A New Jersey fugitive wanted on insurance fraud charges since 2007 was working for the immigration division of the Department of Homeland Security in Georgia, despite a nation-wide alert for her arrest, Essex County prosecutors said today.

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services office in Atlanta was unaware that Tahaya Buchanan, 39, formerly of Newark, was being sought on a 2007 indictment on charges she staged the theft of her Range Rover in Newark for an insurance pay-out, said Paul Loriquet of the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.

He said the USCIS continued to remain unaware of the criminal case after Buchanan was arrested on July 9 in DeKalb County, Georgia, by a traffic cop who noticed a warrant for her arrest was issued in December 2007 by a New Jersey judge and posted a month later on the National Crime Information Center.

Today, Buchanan’s supervisors at the CIS office in Atlanta said they did not know about the criminal charges, despite the fact Buchanan remained in a Georgia jail for a week after her arrest. On Monday, she pleaded guilty to a one charge of insurance fraud for which she faces three months of probation.

"It’s amazing they couldn’t find her. Good Lord," said Kevin Kerns, the office chief of staff at USCIS where Buchanan still works as an analyst.

Ana Santiago, a spokeswoman for the USCIS, said they are still checking into the case and did not have information available as to whether the office regularly checks its employee list against national criminal warrants.

"The USCIS is looking into this matter. USCIS has zero tolerance for any type of employee misconduct or criminal activity," she added.

Nice to see we have an entire dictionary of terms to identify the real threats to this country, such as people who want the laws enforced and other radical types such as pro-lifers.

It even includes opponents of the tax system, which apparently would make outlaws of half the Obama administration.

The same Homeland Security Department office that categorized veterans as potential terrorists issued an earlier report that defined dozens of "extremists" ranging from black power activists to abortion foes. The report was nixed within hours and recalled from state and local law enforcement officials.

Whites and blacks, Christians and Jews, Cubans and Mexicans, along with tax-hating Americans were among several political leanings listed in the "Domestic Extremism Lexicon" that came out of the Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A) in late March.

The lexicon lists definitions for key terms and phrases used by Homeland Security analysts "that addresses the nature and scope of the threat that domestic, non-Islamic extremism poses to the United States," the report said.

Black separatism was defined as a movement that they said advocates the establishment of a separate nation within the U.S., and its members "advocate or engage in criminal activity and plot acts of violence directed toward local law enforcement" to advance their goals. Black power is a "term used by black separatists to describe their pride in, and the perceived superiority of the black race," the report said.

Under the listing "antiabortion extremism," the lexicon cites a movement that "advocates violence against providers of abortion-related services." It notes that some people in the movement "cite various racist and anti-Semitic beliefs to justify their criminal activities."

"The lexicon was not an authorized I&A product, and it was recalled as soon as management discovered it had been released without authorization," said Amy Kudwa, Homeland Security spokeswoman.

"This product is not, nor was it ever, in operational use," Ms. Kudwa said.

In other words, we never intended for you or the media to know about it.

The 11-page lexicon document lists terms from A through W, beginning with "aboveground," which is defined as extremist groups or people who "operate overtly and portray themselves as law-abiding," and ending with "white supremacist movement." The listing notes six categories of white supremacists: Neo-Nazi, Ku Klux Klan, Christian identity, racist skinhead, Nordic mysticism and Aryan prison gangs.

A "left-wing extremist" is described as someone who opposes war or is dedicated to environmental and animal rights causes, while a "right-wing extremist" is someone who is against abortion or for border enforcement.

I also take issue that opposing war makes someone a left-wing extremist.

This whole thing is just idiotic. Can't we just monitor groups that pose an actual threat without classifying them by some political identity?

It's just ridiculous.

Speaking of ridiculous, they're even crazier over in the UK, where radio host Michael Savage has been banned from entering the country.

The list of the 16 "least wanted" includes radio talk show host Michael Savage, real name Michael Weiner.

"This is someone who has fallen into the category of fomenting hatred, of such extreme views and expressing them in such a way that it is actually likely to cause inter-community tension or even violence if that person were allowed into the country," Ms Smith told BBC Breakfast.

'It's Like Hitting the Lotto For a Terrorist'

The best-case scenario here, if you call it that, is someone pilfered these blank birth certificates to sell to illegal aliens. The worst case, naturally, is bad news.

Very bad news.

A stack of blank birth certificates have been stolen from the city Health Department's offices, leading investigators to worry that they may have fallen into the hands of terrorists, The Post has learned.

On March 12, an employee discovered that 106 certificates with the agency's stamp on them were missing from the department's offices at 125 Worth St. near City Hall, sources said.

It was the first time in 10 years that blank birth certificates have been stolen from the department.

The NYPD and the city's Department of Investigation are investigating.

"It's like hitting the Lotto for a terrorist," one investigator said.

"Forged documents are one of the primary concerns of Homeland Security. After you get that birth certificate, you can get any document you want. This is extremely serious."

The missing documents were in a box of blank certificates that was stacked on other similar boxes.

The employee noticed they were missing because there was a break in the numbers on the certificates.

The department notified the Department of Investigation and the NYPD. It also alerted other agencies who deal with vital records.

Investigators believe the theft was carried out by someone who has access to the offices, probably an employee.

Of course, now that there's no longer a war on terrorism, maybe I'm just be paranoid. Besides, now we're welcoming terrorists to stay here in America.

Homeland Security Now Employment Agency

Well if you are an actual tax paying US citizen you don't qualify for this program but apparently the geniuses in charge of Homeland Security now are acting as an employment agency for illegals.

The Department of Homeland Security freed 27 illegal immigrants arrested during a workplace raid in February and offered them legal work permits, signaling a major departure from the immigration enforcement policy of the Bush administration.

It seems this new administration is driven by one thing and one thing only, they ain't going to do anything that Bush did. Even those things he did half assed.
This is from the department headed by Janet Napolitano. You know the one who is worried about "man made disasters" but not so much terrorist attacks.
Maybe it will give these folks time to complete their taxpayer funded education.

Welcome to Reality: Obama Threatened By Somali Islamists

The domestic media will run with anything resembling a threat from some crackpot white supremacists or old friends of Robert Byrd, but you see scant mention of terror threats such as this from any American media outlets.

They just don't want to believe it. Safely ensconced in their fantasy bubble, they want to cling to the magic unicorns.

Officials would say little about the potential terrorist threat attributed to al-Shabah, an Islamist group that emerged in a two-year-old struggle for power in Somalia and is classified as a foreign terrorist group by the US State Department.

Some Somalis living in the United States were recently reported to have returned home for training by the group, officials said.

"The FBI, the Department of Homeland Security (including the USSS) and the intelligence community are coordinating with other law enforcement authorities to investigate and analyse recently received information about a potential threat on inauguration day," Homeland Security spokesman Russ Knocke said.

"Authorities at all levels are vigorously pursuing any lead relating to this threat information," Knocke said, adding Obama's transition team had been briefed.

UK Muslim MP Seething After Airport Incident

Perhaps had his fellow Muslims not become such a nuisance by flying planes into buildings and murdering innocent people worldwide, this poor fellow wouldn't have to suffer through the humilating indignity of having his bags checked and waiting around for 40 minutes.

Plenty of flyers out there going through this. Get used to it.

Muslim minister detained at airport

Britain's first Muslim minister said he was "deeply disappointed" after being detained at an American airport where his hand luggage was analysed for traces of explosive materials.

Shahid Malik, MP for Dewsbury and International Development Minister, was returning to Heathrow after a series of meetings and talks on tackling terrorism, when he was stopped at Dulles Airport in Washington DC.

He was searched and detained by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) - the same department whose representatives he had been meeting on his visit to the country.

Mr Malik said: "After a few minutes a couple of other people were also taken to one side. We were all Muslims - the other two were black Muslims, both with Muslim names."

Mr Malik said he was particularly annoyed as a similar thing happened to him last year, when he was detained for an hour at JFK airport in New York by the DHS - despite the fact that he was a keynote speaker at an event organised by the department, alongside the FBI and Muslim organisations in New York.

The theme of that speech was tackling extremism and defeating terrorism.

Mr Malik said he received numerous apologies and assurances from the USA authorities after that incident.

After his detention, which lasted about 40 minutes, he said: "I am deeply disappointed.

I guess next time he comes to visit DHS, we just just let him through, no questions asked.

We just can't bother worrying about the risk of terrorism when the delicate feeling of Muslims are involved.
