What You Didn't See From Green Bay Yesterday

Barry O took his show on the road once again yesterday, while his family continues to vacation in Europe on your dime, to promote his omnipotent healthcare plan.

Since I was working from home I got to see the campaign stop and while he was surrounded by his adoring fans inside, outside it was a different matter.
I wonder why we didn't see these, can you really call them protesters, who lined the road leading up to the venue?


Regarding that campaign stop, after Barry O talked about how seizing control of the healthcare system in this country was the single most important thing that needed to be addressed or else western civilization would cease to exist, using the same rhetoric and words that he used previously when talking about financial institutions, the automakers, and the housing market, just before he seized control of them also, he opened it up for questions from the crowd. He assured us that the people were not pre screened or pre selected, so I want to know why was it that all those who opposed his plan were on the outside?

There was the local teachers union member who did not have a question about healthcare at all, but rather used his opportunity to blast the No Child Left Behind policy and the unfairness of testing.

There was the guy who asked for a note for his daughter for school.

There was a woman who was a big fan of going to a single payer system.

There was NOT a single dissenting opinion or question, either from the people in attendance or the media.

Oh yeah and of course this trip was paid for with your tax dollars. You know after the President in Training Pants said last week that we were out of money.

Apparently the taxpayers and the country are out of money but the Obama's have tax payer funded credit card that has no spending limit on it.

From the sounds of this, it's some sort of calamity for this nitwit art teacher. Why on earth these people are incapable of changing the channel when they first realized the mixup isn't mentioned. Now it's national news.

Rush Limbaugh is offering to teach a civics lesson to a Green Bay middle school after a teacher complained about his radio show's presentation of Tuesday's presidential inauguration broadcast throughout the school that included the conservative commentator's opinions.

The on-air offer came after an Edison Middle School teacher sent an e-mail to WTAQ (1360 AM) about the station's coverage of President Barack Obama's inauguration. The e-mail criticized the inclusion of Limbaugh's comments during Obama's speech.

During Limbaugh's show on Wednesday, he quoted the teacher's e-mail and played portions of her phone call recorded on the radio station's comment line.

"I understand that Rush Limbaugh built his career around his opinion and commentary. But I thought that even he would have the decency to honor such a historical and momentous event in our country's history," Limbaugh read from the e-mail.

"My students were shocked, angered, and saddened by the interruption."

Aww, the poor babies.

Edison principal Mark Smith would not comment on the situation.

The school district is reviewing the incident and determining the facts, spokeswoman Amanda Brooker said in a written statement.

Reviewing the incident? What is there to review. The sooner they dummy up about this the betetr off they'll be. As it is now these people are laughingstocks.

Dear Mr. Bader: My name is [liberal anal teacher] and I contacted you via phone message earlier today. I just wanted to put into writing my complete and utter disappointment in your radio station's choices during President Obama's inauguration speech today. I understand that Rush Limbaugh built his career around his opinion and commentary. But I thought that even he would have the decency to honor such a historical and momentous event in our country's history. I am a teacher at a middle school in Green Bay, Wisconsin. It was highly unfortunate that when our school decided to broadcast Obama's speech over our PA to our student population of 1,200, our administrators randomly selected Mr. Limbaugh's program. My students were shocked, angered, and saddened by the interruption of what was a respectful event, truly the most momentous moment of their young lives."

We spent the morning preparing them for the event, explaining significance of the day --" I'll bet they did "-- and what it meant for equality and our future. Mr. Limbaugh could have and should have shown the respect the moment deserved. I was proud of my students' conduct today, proud of the respect they showed this moment in history, and I was proud of their outrage at such an overstepping of boundaries by Mr. Limbaugh. Sadly, due to your radio programming, I was also disappointed, disappointed to have to be present as my middle school students experienced ignorance and arrogance on such a public scale. Following this day, Mr. Limbaugh has the next four years and longer to anyone willing to listen, for today we were hoping to take part in a piece of history without his commentary. My students will not forget the choices he made, nor will I forget what your radio station chose to do on this day. Thank you for your time, [anal liberal teacher,] art specialist, Green Bay, Wisconsin."
