Got to love Rep Allen West (R-FL) for telling it like it is. Apparently he isn't too impressed with Timmy "Turbo Tax" Geithner's performance or grasp of reality for that matter.

After spending most of today listening to CSPAN while they covered the debate in the House of Representatives over the Republicans Cut, Cap and Balance bill I must say I couldn't agree with Rep West more.

Look, Debbie, I understand that after I departed the House floor you directed your floor speech comments directly towards me. I am doing some mindnumbing work this week so I am allowed to work from home, which is giving me the opportunity to catch some of the goings-on from our distinguished congress critters. Today the Congressional Black Caucus spent the morning taking to the floor of the house and bemoaning the various photo ID requirement laws that the states are passing in regards to preventing voter fraud, which of course to them is equivalent of Jim Crow laws. After the first half dozen of them got up all saying the same thing it simply became a carnival sideshow act. I wonder how many of those folks in that stampede for Section 8 housing applications in Dallas last week had photo ID? Didn't seem to disenfranchise any of them.

Anyway, the day in a nutshell was the Republicans pointing out the various things the proposed legislation actually contained while the Democrats were sounding warning bells about granny getting thrown out of burning buildings along with her cat food supper by representatives of big oil who were trying to catch their flight out of town on their corporate jet. Or something like that.

It really gets old when the Dems get on their talking points and just won't budge, even when they can't manage to read them off of the note cards prepared for them. There was even one congress critter from California that I had trouble understanding since her command of the English language was almost nonexistent. I am going to assume she gives all her campaign speeches in Spanish.

Anyway, kudos to Rep. West for laying a smack down on ol' DWS; the only question left is which victim card shield is she going to hide behind.

Bad Idea: CAIR Stooge Blows Sunshine Up Allen West's Butt

Here we have Rep. Allen West (Real Man-FL) administering an ice-cold, methodical smackdown to CAIR Executive Director Nezar Hamze. Hamze really thought he had a "gotcha!" question for the Congressman at this town hall meeting in Pompano Beach.

Be patient with the sound on this. The relevant parts are audible, and the money sound bite is clear as a bell.

Racist Tea Partiers Wildly Cheering a Black Man

How does this fit into your little 'ole narrative of a country of old white racists that make up the Tea Party, Mr. Mainstream Media? Former LTC Allen West won the congressional seat in Florida's 22nd district and while you can't really see him in the video I found giving his acceptance speech, you can see the crowd. I have no doubt that he will face some venom from some of those liberal-minded tolerant progressives who seem to come up with all the hurtful phrases that make it into our vocabulary, but I would like to add my congratulations to Mr. West for his victory, beating out an incumbent Democrat for this seat.



Now, give 'em hell and show them the difference between leadership and management.

Mr West will not be going to Washington by himself. Tim Scott won a congressional seat in South Carolina.


I'm sure they will be welcomed warmly into the Congressional Black Caucus.

Send Allen West To Congress Florida

LTC (Ret) West won his primary battle to be the Republican representative for Florida's 22nd congressional district. His opponent in the general election will be the current incumbent Ron Klein.

For some reason when I visited Mr Klein's web site I had trouble figuring out which political party he belonged to, even though I already knew. It appears to be another case of a Democrat running away from the brand. If you snoop around a little you will find a reference to him being a Democrat, but the real enlightening part is all the information he has up touting his bona fides to the military community. It is almost as if he knew who his opponent would be and went to work trying to improve his street cred in the military and veteran community.

I want Allen West to win this seat so bad. He is just the sort of guy we need in Washington. He is a leader not a manager. He doesn't run from anything he has done and unless you want the truth don't ask the question.

So Florida, please pull your collective heads out of your fourth point of contact and send Allen West to congress.

And if you don't know the story of LTC (Ret) Allen West do a little snooping around the intertubes. I think you will find yourself learning about a man that you would follow through hell with gasoline soaked underwear.

You Have To Be Frikkin Nuts Not To Vote For This Guy

To the residents in the district in Florida in which Mr. West is campaigning for to be your US Representative, one question. Why is there even a question about electing this guy?



Send this guy to Washington to teach them by example what it means to be a leader. He is running in the 22nd District, which has an incumbent Democrat.

Republican Allen West has emerged as one of the nation's top congressional money magnets after collecting a jaw-dropping $838,450 in the first quarter of 2010 for his challenge of U.S. Rep. Ron Klein, D-Boca Raton.

West has raised more than $2 million overall, much of it from national buzz generated by a viral YouTube video. But while West has reaped the benefits of 21st century media, his campaign has already spent $977,853 on the race, including at least $522,333 on a 20th century direct mail strategy that has drained some other candidates.

GOP firm Base Connect so far has directed about 1.3 million pieces of mail to prospective donors around the U.S. The mail effort has raised around $400,000 to date, West consultant Ed Brookover said. But Brookover is encouraged because he said that money has come in small increments from about 10,000 individuals -- giving West a large base of donors to whom he can return in coming months.

Please FL, Send This Man To Congress

My favorite veteran who is running for congress LTC Allen West (Ret) was on Red Eye last night. Without prompting he got off some good lines about being light skinned and speaking with a "Negro accent".

This is Mr West's second attempt at a congressional run in the 22nd district of FL and if ever there was a more plain spoken person running for congress I will eat my hat.



Among the other topics discussed are terrorism and politics. He never runs from the incident that caused his premature departure from the Army, which is why I would go through hell in gasoline soaked underwear for this man.

Something That Needs To Be Said Again

This speech originally came to the public attention in 2006, but it is just as relevant today as it was then, and something I felt was worth repeating. Remember these words as you relish the coming days of hope and change whereby we once again return to the good old days before September 11, 2001 when we pursued our enemies with lawyers, writs, and subpoenas instead of with guns, rockets, and planes.

Men----Don't ever think that the kids running around on some university campuses protesting, breaking things and whining have anything on you. You are privileged to have that one advantage that all covet---you will know - about the goings on in Iraq, Afghanistan, Djibouti, the Philippines, the Balkans and many other places. Your head will not be filled with the empty theory of those who---in actuality know very little because they lack the intestinal fortitude to commit to anything which requires risk. I'm speaking of the snide, arrogant sort who spend all day blaming America for every wrong in the world before going home to sleep at night under that blanket of freedom provided by better men----men like you.

You have to watch the whole video, especially if you haven't seen it before. It is a little over 12 minutes in length, but it is time well spent.


On a related note, last night I spent two hours listening to LTC (Ret) Allen West, who is running for Congress in Florida. For those not familiar with Mr, West, he is the officer, who upon learning that a prisoner they were holding had information about an imminent attac--not only on him but his unit also--decided to question the suspect. When that suspect was less then forthright with the information he knew he possessed he pulled out his 9mm pistol and fired a shot past the insurgent's head. He got the information he needed, no soldiers were wounded or killed in the following action they had to take and LTC West was forced to resign. I cannot think of a better person to send to Congress. At least you know he will stand up for you. The other good news about LTC West's tour in Iraq--he suffered only one casualty in his unit, a soldier killed in a vehicle accident, and he was the commander of a 1000-man battalion.
