Obama to Wesley Clark: Yo, Find Somewhere Else to Be Come Convention Time, You Hear?

Damn, the bus just finished backing over the ample carcass of racist Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and now Team Obama has told loose cannon and nutroots darling Wesley Clark to make himself scarce come convention time.

Hmm, I wonder why?

General Wesley Clark is not attending the Democratic National Convention. I was told by General Clark's personal office in Little Rock that he would not be attending.

Clark was informed by Barack Obama's people that there was no reason to come.

General Clark has been given no role of any kind at the convention.

Rubbing salt in the wound even more, the "theme" of Wednesday's Democratic convention agenda is "Securing America."

Clark is loved by the netroots -- and I'm sure that they would hope that the Obama campaign will revisit this decision to exclude General Wesley Clark from the entire Democratic National Convention ageda [sic].

Kilpatrick obviously is dispensible. Obama will be getting 104% of the black vote according to the latest polls, but tossing Clark overboard won't fare well with the hardcore haters on the left, especially since they've been clamoring for Clark as VP.

This should prove amusing.

But the bottom line here is that one of two things are happening: Either Clark is throwing out a smokescreen and really will have a role at the convention - the VP role - and is just trying to throw everyone off, or he really has been dumped. My money’s on the latter. He, like Cindy Sheehan was to the far left anti-war brigade, has done the dirty work Obama himself wants to appear to be ’above’ (we’ve seen this before, haven’t we?) and has probably outlived his usefulness.

Bye Bye, Dickhead: Wesley Clark 'Taking a Break'

The moron Wesley Clark has decided to take some time off.

He won't be missed.

Nearly a week after his controversial “Face the Nation” appearance last Sunday, retired Army Gen. Wesley Clark is taking a break from the presidential campaign — but many Democratic insiders think he has already been crossed off the list of Barack Obama’s potential running mates.

Sunday morning on CBS News, Clark argued that John McCain’s military experience — and his years as a prisoner of war — in no way qualified him to be president. Following his appearance, one prominent liberal blog, apparently seeing the genie as out of the bottle, launched into a considerably harsher attacks on McCain’s service headlined “Honestly, besides being tortured, what did McCain do to excel in the military?”

“On a scale of 1 to 10, Clark’s words were a 10 in terms of unhelpfulness,” said one Democrat who has helped manage past presidential campaigns.

At first, Clark moved aggressively to defend his remarks, scheduling additional press appearances and even updating his Facebook status to “Wes Clark knows that John McCain is largely untested and untried when it comes to matters of national security.”

But now Clark is looking to put the remarks behind him. The former NATO supreme allied commander and 2004 Democratic primary candidate is “moving on,” said a close aide, who added that Clark can now “devote his time to the business affairs which pay the bills.”

Of course Obama will just trot out another disgruntled hack of some type to impugn John McCain. When you have no resume, no credentials and no credibility, job number one is to attack your opponent's strength.

Obama Throws Clark Under the Bus

Boy, that didn't take long.

It was a soft landing.

Barack Obama just delivered a speech on patriotism in Independence, Mo., hometown of what was once America's most powerful haberdasher, and offered a mild rebuke to Wesley Clark, who took on John McCain's military record the other day in rather scorching terms.

And just to make it clear, an Obama spokesman sent out this brief statement as Obama was speaking: "As he's said many times before, Senator Obama honors and respects Senator McCain's service, and, of course, he rejects yesterday's statement by General Clark."

Why wasn't Obama man enough to condemn this statement yesterday?

And why wasn't he man enough to condemn Clark during his speech, when his supporters would hear it loud and unequivocally?

Update: So much for Clark's VP aspirations. Indeed. Alas, Time wants this issue to go away. Now. Sure, we can let it go. Now just stop bringing up Willie Horton and Swiftboating, then we'll talk, OK?

Wesley Clark Trashes McCain ... Again

So the blowhard Wesley Clark trashes John McCain today and it's supposed to be news?

Gen. Wesley Clark, acting as a surrogate for Barack Obama’s campaign, invoked John McCain’s military service against him in one of the more personal attacks on the Republican presidential nominee this election cycle.

Clark said that McCain lacked the executive experience necessary to be president, calling him “untested and untried” on CBS’ “Face the Nation.” And in saying so, he took a few swipes at McCain’s military service.

“He has been a voice on the Senate Armed Services Committee. And he has traveled all over the world. But he hasn't held executive responsibility. That large squadron in the Navy that he commanded — that wasn't a wartime squadron,” Clark said.

“I don’t think getting in a fighter plane and getting shot down is a qualification to become president.”

I don’t think being a community organizer is a qualification to become president, either, Wes, so what's your point?

Can't you just taste the change heading our way?

Anyway, this drivel had a familiar ring to it, which makes you wonder why a man of such dubious history continues to flack for Obama on military affairs.

Well, he is a darling of the far left, so expect them to be kvelling over this latest idiocy of his.

Clark as Pantsuit VP?

Sure, it's a bit presumptious for this to be floated, but if it's true, all I can say is bring it on.

Hillary Clinton has been working closely with decorated anti-war retired Gen. Wesley Clark on foreign policy, fueling rumors he could be vice-president on a “Clinton-Clark” ticket in 2008.

In recent months Clark has joined Clinton several times on the campaign trail, has been publishing a number of profile-raising editorials, and is making a substantial effort to keep his slick PAC website updated with his media schedule. He also promotes email campaigns that solicit names and contact information, as he did in his recent push to remove Rush Limbaugh from Armed Forces Radio.

Far from being an asset, his erratic behavior is sure to torpedo her campaign.

Clark Endorses Pantsuit

Fresh off calling General David Petraeus a liar, Mrs. Clinton has been endorsed by Wesley Clark.

That's sure to assuage the feelings of the military.

In a conference call plagued with technical problems today, retired Gen. Wesley K. Clark endorsed Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton’s candidacy for president.

“She’s a remarkable person. She’s had incredible experiences; she’s smart; she’s done her homework,” he said.

General Clark, an Arkansas native who served as NATO commander in her husband’s administration, ran an unsuccessful bid for the Democratic nomination in 2004. Speculation surrounded his intentions for 2008: He vowed not to make 2004’s mistake of announcing too late (a mistake some fear Fred D. Thompson has repeated on the G.O.P. side), but then never revealed his intentions one way or the other, passively removing himself from the running — until now.

Asked what role he will play in the campaign, General Clark said, “I haven’t considered anything like that.”

He'll play a hatchet-man used to portray The Pantsuit as being strong on military affairs, which is an absolute joke.
