The Obligatory and Semi-Regular "Mike Malloy Fantasizes About Choking Rush Limbaugh to Death" Post

Does anyone know how to get in touch with Janet Napolitano? I want to report this sick pup Mike Malloy to Homeland Security.

Unless there is a "jiggle up someone's throat fat 'til they suffocate' innocuous metaphor out there with which I am unfamiliar. In which case - boy, don't I feel stupid.

Of course, this is not the first time Mike Malloy has fantasized about choking Rush Limbaugh to death.

Heck, it's not even the first time this hatemongering kook fixated on Rush's throat fat.

Must be his idea of a running gag.
"The rhetoric that comes from me is the rhetoric of rage...and, um, have their been violent images? Of course. Rush Limbaugh choking on his throat fat - that you know, to me, is not a threat - I can't - I wish I could, but I can't reach into his throat and jiggle up his throat fat so he suffocates - I can't do it."
I'd file for a restraining order if I were El Rushbo, just to be safe.

Hollywood Nutcase Ed Asner Goes Full 9/11 Truther

They really shouldn't let this guy out of the sanitarium. Here he is with an incredulous Adam Carolla, almost nine full minutes of sheer lunacy.

Via Breitbart. More here.
“No high-rise has ever gone down by fire,” Asner explains. “Those buildings fell at the rate of gravity in ten seconds, flat.” He served up some more supposed “facts” as to why the buildings had to have been brought down by domestically planted explosives, rather than internationally hateful terrorists. Carolla tried to debunk the conspiracy theory by asking why the surreptitious government of Asner’s mind, if it was so keen on instigating a war, didn’t go ahead and plant WMDs in Iraq. “Because it wasn’t the same department of government,” Asner replied, chuckling at Carolla’s naiveté.

How Green Is Your Love?

It's come to this. A book about practicing environmentally safe sex. All I know is this conjures up disturbing images of sweaty, naked moonbats wearing loincloths and doing the nasty.
Leaving a smaller carbon footprint in the bedroom is easy with Eco-Sex, a green sex guide that will inspire both sexual and ecological excitement. Renew your passion for the environment while you recharge your love life—with green sex toys, low-impact lingerie, fair-trade condoms, bamboo bed linens, conflict-free diamonds, and much more. Eco-Sex will help you avoid the sins of greenwashing while you probe the deeper underpinnings of healthy, chemical-free sex. You’ll also tap into the emerging eco-sexual community while shopping for organic aphrodisiacs or logging onto green dating sites. Eco-Sex will open new avenues for the health of the planet and your body. So go ahead: stock your sexual toolbox, reinvigorate your passions, get serious about sustainability—and join the next (and best!) sexual revolution.
If they wanted to be environmentally friendly they would use paper for this nonsense and would just put it online for free.

Want to know where the author is coming from? See if you can figure out this gibberish.
Everything can be filtered through the lens of astrology. You can chart anything—the birth of a child and the birth of a building. The WTC was in its first (and final) Saturn Return when it went down on 9/11. This was an extremely startling metaphor. Also, Saturn was in Gemini at the time, the sign of twins—the Twin Towers. Freaky.

Bush is currently finishing up his second Saturn return. In 2004, almost every time someone would reveal another appalling character flaw or some egregious lapse in judgment on his part, it coincided with an exact hit of Saturn to his chart. From Richard Clark to the reemergence of those MIA years in the National Guard, it all fit nicely with his Saturn return. In fact, when he made a huge fool of himself during the second debate (the one in which he mentioned "hard work" about eleven times) Saturn was making an exact hit. Despite Saturn, however, he squeaked in. Honestly I've been way too depressed since the election to look into how he avoided a downfall that many astrologers thought inevitable. Give me some time on this one, I'm still in recovery mode.

'Arrest That War Criminal!'

George W. Bush may be long gone from office, but that hasn't deterred the rag-tag far-left anti-war cranks from having a temper tantrum.
Thousands of protesters - many directing their anger squarely at President Barack Obama - marched through the nation's capital Saturday to urge immediate withdrawal of troops from Iraq and Afghanistan.

At least eight people, including activist Cindy Sheehan, were arrested by U.S. Park Police at the end of the march, after laying coffins at a fence outside the White House. Friday marked the seventh anniversary of the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq.

"Arrest that war criminal!" Sheehan shouted outside the White House before her arrest, referring to Obama.

At a rally before the march, Sheehan asked whether "the honeymoon was over with that war criminal in the White House" - an apparent reference to Obama - prompting moderate applause.
An apparent reference?
The protesters defied orders to clear the sidewalk on Pennsylvania Avenue in front of the White House and park police say they face charges of failure to obey a lawful order.
Others, meanwhile, are still feeling kind of hopey-changey.
Others were more conciliatory toward Obama. Shirley Allan of Silver Spring, Md., carried a sign that read, "President Obama We love you but we need to tell you! Your hands are getting bloody!! Stop it now."

Allan thought it was going too far to call Obama a war criminal but said she is deeply disappointed that the conflicts are continuing.

"He has to know it's unacceptable," Allan said. "I am absolutely disappointed."

The protest drew a smaller crowd than the tens of thousands who marched in 2006 and 2007.

Protesters stopped at the offices of military contractor Halliburton - where they tore apart an effigy of former Vice President and Halliburton Chief Executive Dick Cheney - the Mortgage Bankers Association and The Washington Post offices.
The Mortgage Bankers Association? Huh?

Kook Left: Exposing Van Jones is a 'Racist Witch Hunt'

You knew it couldn't be long until the far left kook fringe rallied around one of their own. I just love the smell of radical left fear in the morning. These people are almost parodies of themselves. Check out how hysterical they are.
Join us at StandWithVan.com to show your unwavering support for White House green jobs advisor Van Jones.

Like sharks in the water, a right-wing lynch mob led by notorious race-baiter Glenn Beck is now circling around White House green jobs advisor Van Jones.

On the surface, their complaint centers around Jones' background and statements he previously made as an activist. Specifically, conservative blogs and media outlets have seized on a harshly-worded petition Beck signed in 2004 demanding further investigations into the 9/11 attacks [Oops, you mean Jones, don't you?--ed.]. Jones has clarified since then, saying of the petition that "it certainly does not reflect my views, now or ever." But this is little more than the right-wing manufactured faux-outrage du jour. Beck began aggressively going after Jones in the wake of a campaign targeting Beck's advertisers -- organized by Color of Change -- an advocacy organization Jones founded prior to taking a position in the administration.
Here's a sampling of the left-wing hysteria signing on to this poorly-drafted drivel.

Brad Johnson at The Wonk Room writes:
White House green jobs advisor Van Jones is under attack from Fox News as an “avowed radical revolutionary communist” and from ABC News as a “truther” with a “history of incendiary and provocative remarks.” In an attempt to assassinate the character of Van Jones, the right-wing media are distorting his past political activism and cherry-picking Jones’s critiques of the pollution and injustice that still haunt this nation. However, Jones’s true record is one of turning away from anger and finding hope, abandoning division and seeking consensus.
Yeah, by calling Republicans assholes. No anger or division there, nosiree.

David Roberts at Grist writes:
This is all about bitch-slap politics. If Jones drops out, think Beck or the right-wing slime industry will stop? Think they won’t keep going after Carol Browner, John Holdren, and the rest—twisting and attacking every word and gesture from the Obama administration? “Uncovering” people as wildly caricatured leftists? Faux-populist fear merchants are like sharks; they have to keep moving, keep eating. There’s no sating them. Letting Beck bag Jones would be like chum in the water.
Go get him, Captain Beck!

Adam Siegel at Get Energy Smart Now writes:

Fox’s Beck has turned his attention from President Barack Obama to increasingly vitriolic and deceptive attacks on a White House staff member, Van Jones, who has responsibilities related to Green Jobs. Beck’s attacks are deceptive and despicable, on multiple levels, and demean not just Jones, but American democracy and the very concept of moving forward toward a more prosperous
America
, for both the nation and its citizens.

So now Jones is just some lowly White House staff member. By the way, I'm still waiting to find out specifically what these green jobs are and if a single one has been created. Nobody seems to care about Jones' performance, just whether he can stick it to the man.

Sarah Robinson at Blog For Our Future writes:
But we know this for sure: If Beck succeeds in damaging Jones and Color of Change -- a decision that's largely in the hands President Obama -- you can count on this being the start of a fast and furious conservative witch hunt aimed at picking off every other progressive leader. What they'll learn is that this kind of minor smear is all it takes to turn liberals against each other -- and we'll effectively be in the position of letting the craziest people on the right wing decide for us who our leaders will be.

Meanwhile, more reaction is still percolating of the largely non-kook variety.

Crazed Conspiracist Bemoans Crazed Conspiracists

Funny, but we have a guy here who still believes Trig Palin is not Sarah Palin's son, yet has a field day with the kook Birthers. While I agree with Sullivan the Birthers are cranks, he goes off the rails by implying it's some racist conspiracy against Barack Obama.

Memo to Andy: Get over your own paranoid obsessions before opining on those of others. It might add a bit of credibility to your argument.
This is the silly season. But this silly story seems to me an indication of something more ominous. The demographics tell the basic story: a black man is president and a large majority of white southerners cannot accept that, even in 2009. They grasp conspiracy theories to wish Obama — and the America he represents — away. Since white southerners comprise an increasing proportion of the 22% of Americans who still describe themselves as Republican, the GOP can neither dismiss the crankery nor move past it. The fringe defines what’s left of the Republican centre.

The chilling implication is that a large number of Americans believe the president has no right to be in office and has fraudulently manoeuvred himself there.

I hope the secret service is on alert. If we thought racial panic had ended with Obama’s election, the resilience of this story in key parts of the country is a helpful wake-up call.

Are You Ready For Ronstock '08?

Neither am I. What with all the hubbub over conventions and vice presidential nominations, I had completely forgotten about gadfly kook Ron Paul and his merry bad of misfits, miscreants, troofers and crackpots.

Well, they're back. You can bet the media will be happy to give these clowns maximum exposure this week.
There's no room at the Xcel Energy Center for maverick Ron Paul, so his acolytes have packed their cars, hitched rides on "Ronvoys" and will pitch tents at Ronstock '08 in Minneapolis in defiance of next week's GOP convention in St. Paul, Minn.

Almost 9,800 tickets had been sold for the Rally for the Republic, which seeks to bring together activists who are anti-war, anti-government regulation, anti-immigration, anti-taxes, anti-Federal Reserve, anti-outsourcing, pro-individual liberty, pro-civil liberties and pro-Paul.

The Ronvoys — fleets of buses and vans carrying Paul's loyalists — were to begin arriving Saturday. A few rally-goers planned to walk from Green Bay, Wis., and join up with Paul for the final miles of their Walk4Freedom. Other attendees are driving, carpooling or flying in for the convention alternative.

Paul, a Texas congressman who failed in a bid for the Republican presidential nomination, considers the rally a celebration of traditional Republican values of limited government — and a poke in the eye of the GOP. They don't plan to crash the Republican party, but to show they and their Campaign for Liberty are not going away.

"No matter how much our message is ignored or ridiculed, as was done in the campaign, no matter how much they did to us, it only energized our grass roots," Paul said.
Yes, the establishment is just quaking in their boots.

'Frightened' Ron Paul: Iran Attack Coming

Haven't heard from this kook for some time, but he's as nutty as ever.
Rep. Ron Paul (R-Tex.) has warned millions of radio listeners that the United States is heading into an illegal attack on Iran, stating his amazement at members of Congress who have openly voiced support for a criminal nuclear strike.
Millions of listeners? Huh?
If we do (attack) it is going to be a disaster,” the congressman told the Alex Jones radio show. “I was astounded to see on one of the networks the other day that the debate was not are we going to attack, but are we going to attack before or after the election?” Paul continued.

Paul recently voiced concern over House Congressional Resolution 362 which he has dubbed a “virtual Iran war resolution.”

“If that comes up it is demanding that the president [put in place] an absolute blockade of the entire country of Iran, and punish any country or any business group around the world if they trade with Iran,” Paul told listeners.

Experts have predicted gas will rise to $6 per gallon if the resolution passes. Paul believes that may happen anyway, just by anticipation.

“The frightening thing is they say they are taking no options off the table, even nuclear first strike,” Paul said. Paul believes from talking with his contacts in and around Congress that a strike on Iran has already been green-lighted.
The frightening this is we have a member of Congress so out of touch with reality that he fails to understand potential nuclear strikes are part of contingency planning.

Ron Paul Kook Sighting

Although the Ron Paul wave has washed over America, I somehow had managed to escape seeing an actual Paul acolyte here in my corner of New Jersey.

Probably something to do with the fact he's polling at or around 1% in most polls and nobody in their right mind is supporting the guy.

I'd figured the Paul nuts were likely disheveled, wild-eyed twenty-somethings, and sure enough, I had an encounter with one today.

As I'm driving along, a piece of junk vehicle passes me and I noticed he has ronpaul2008.com spray-painted on his rear window. I guess a bumpersticker just doesn't have the same cache.

Sensing a prime opportunity for mischief, I pulled alongside at the next light and said "Ron Paul, eh?"

"Yeah, man, who are you for?" a scruffy greaseball replied. He appeared not to have groomed in some time, a likely result of sitting in his mother's basement spamming Internet polls.

Twirling my index finger beside my head indicating what I thought of Paul, I told him Ron Paul was insane, chuckled and proceeded.

Obviously agitated, at the next light he shouts "Do your research, man, twenty years in Congress!"

As I kept twirling my finger, he asked who I was for and I told him Rudy. This made him nuts, sending me the one-finger salute as he took off.

Alongside him in the passenger seat was an older woman, likely his mother. She appeared mortified. Poor woman probably has to put with a lot of this.

As I proceeded along, I had the windows up, but he rode alongside, still uttering his talking points or swearing at me. I couldn't tell because I had the windows up. This didn't faze him.

He was probably talking about the Constitution, man.

He clearly was itching for more dispassionate, reasoned discourse, but I'd had my fill and let him speed away.
