Sadly, I am not surprised by the vitriol of this academic's rants on the blog. I have been subject myself to being yelled at in the hallways by fellow academics just cause I'm conservative. I am always offered only the worst classes to teach, even though I am the most popular with the students, and my classes are heavily "monitored" by the administration. It has been made very clear to me recently that I am not real welcome there. It has gotten to the point where I am seriously considering leaving the teaching field cause of this atmosphere. I committed to teach the spring term, but after that..?
My point in all this is not to do cy on anybody's shoulder, but to point out that the rabid left wing type of jargon is pretty standard fair in the academic world. This is SOP for many of these people, they think it is normal to behave this way. They do not think that what they are doing is wrong, infact they feel entitled to go after people who disagree with them.
