New York Times Stock Hits New Low

Here's some interesting news. The New York Times hit a new 52-week low Tuesday, and I'm not just talking about their lack of journalistic integrity. Their stock price continues to plummet, dropping to $20.21 per share on the 11th.

How appropriate this news comes on the day it was revealed they gave a steep discount to the odious MoveOn.org ad slandering general David Petraeus.

The odd thing is there is no new apparent financial news on the NYT in the last few days, and no new insider sales according to the SEC. So I'm starting to think that somebody knows some more bad news for the Times is coming. With all the cost cutting their says they have done in the past quarter or two, the price should be going the other way.

It's just one of those things that makes you go "hmmmmm."
