Iraqi general acquitted of genocide

Not sure what to make of this story. On the one hand it seems to portray an Iraqi justice system that is working, but on the other hand it could point to corruption in the system. The charges were dismissed due to lack of evidence by the judge in the case.
Iraqi Gen. Wafiq al-Sameraee, a former adviser to Saddam Hussein, was acquitted of genocide charges Friday by the Iraqi Criminal Court in Baghdad.
I couldn't find any more news on this from the Yahoo! News or by checking the AP, Reuters, and AFP.

It seems they were too busy reporting stories on the bomb blast in Baghdad, dead Palestinians not Israelis, and health care worries about returning vets along with the deth toll updates for service members fighting the war.
