A Muslim teen who cut a younger Sikh student's hair at a Queens high school was convicted yesterday of a hate crime.
Umair Ahmed, 18, is facing up to four years in prison when he is sentenced in April.
Last May, Ahmed, a Pakistani, approached 15-year-old Harpal Vacher in the Newton HS cafeteria and told the youngster he'd forgive him for calling his mother a "whore" if he'd cut his hair.
Vacher refused, telling Ahmed it was against his religion.
Ahmed ordered Vacher to the school's bathroom, forced him to remove his turban and, even though the student was saying he was sorry, the defendant cut his hair.
A Queens Supreme Court jury deliberated for 21/2 days before finding Ahmed guilty of menacing as a hate crime, coercion as a hate crime, criminal possession of a weapon and harassment.
