An oglers' guide to the sexual charms of France's "magnificent women" has been produced - by a senior aide to President Nicolas Sarkozy.
The controversial book lists numerous districts of Paris and what men can expect to find there.
Menilmontant, for example, is full of "perfectly shameless cleavages, radiant breasts often uncluttered by a bra."
Female residents of Madeleine, a more upmarket area where France's First Lady Carl Bruni-Sarkozy has a home, are noted for their "sublime legs".
There are also tips on the best position in a particular bar to get an "unbeatable view" up women's skirts as they climb a spiral staircase.
Author Pierre-Louis Colin, a 34-year-old who has worked on numerous policy documents and speeches for senior ministers including foreign secretary Bernard Kouchner, has deliberately set out to "blow a raspberry" at the kind of political correctness found in Britain and America.
His Guide to the Pretty Women of Paris appears to offer advice on where to pick up sex partners in the French capital.
"Trendy youth notable for their G-strings and the near disappearance of the bra", are to be found on rue Montorgueil, a pedestrian street full of pavement cafés which is the "epicentre of the city's erotic buzz", the guide states.
These beautifully manicured and rich wives - usually of bankers or senior politicians - are described as "the mother of all fantasies since the origins of literature."
Paris women aged 40 to 60 are put in the "saucy maturity" category, with appearances which "bear witness to the meanders of an agitated or ambitious sex life which refuses to lay down its weapons".
