Memo to Goracle: It's Now Safe To Have Some 'T' on Your BLT

One of the more absurd statements from the bloated former Vice President when he was endorsing The Messiah Monday night was that because of election outcomes America could no longer enjoy tomatoes on their bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwiches (watch around the 1:00 mark). Judging by Algore's immense girth, the brief salmonella outbreak affecting tomatoes was a hardship on him, although it probably just allowed him room for more bacon.

Gore also blamed tainted Chinese products on George W. Bush, an outlandish claim coming from a guy who was in an administration up to their necks in ChiCom cash, but I digress.

Anyway, our long national nightmare is over, as tomatoes are going back on fast food menus. Gore, as always, has impeccable timing.
Restaurant companies are rolling tomatoes back into their stores, as health officials investigate an outbreak of salmonella cases, including nine in the Chicago area.

The Food and Drug Administration has linked the outbreak that sickened 277 people across the country to a crop of tomatoes. Restaurant chains had pulled tomatoes from their sandwich topping offerings.

McDonald's Corp. began bringing sliced tomatoes back Tuesday, said Bill Whitman, spokesman for the Oak Brook-based hamburger chain's U.S. operations. None of the McDonald's restaurants were connected to the illnesses, he said.
In other Goracle news, the hypocrisy continues to astound, as the energy consumption for his mansion increased by 10% last year (H/T Hot Air).
NASHVILLE - In the year since Al Gore took steps to make his home more energy-efficient, the former Vice President’s home energy use surged more than 10%, according to the Tennessee Center for Policy Research.

“A man’s commitment to his beliefs is best measured by what he does behind the closed doors of his own home,” said Drew Johnson, President of the Tennessee Center for Policy Research. “Al Gore is a hypocrite and a fraud when it comes to his commitment to the environment, judging by his home energy consumption.”

In the past year, Gore’s home burned through 213,210 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity, enough to power 232 average American households for a month.

In February 2007, An Inconvenient Truth, a film based on a climate change speech developed by Gore, won an Academy Award for best documentary feature. The next day, the Tennessee Center for Policy Research uncovered that Gore’s Nashville home guzzled 20 times more electricity than the average American household.
Big Al gets a rotten tomato for his egregious consumption.

Actually, I welcome this buffoon endorsing Obama. Considering his robust endorsements of Howard Dean and John Kerry in 2004, I'd say his recent track record has proved very successful.

For Republicans.

Perhaps if Gore acted in a more dignified manner befitting his former office his endorsements would have more weight.
