So says Texas Rep. Ron Paul, is officially ending his presidential campaign today and launching a nationwide effort to elect like-minded, limited-government proponents.
"The presidential campaign was Phase One," said Jesse Benton, Paul's spokesman. He said Paul is forming a non-profit organization that will tap into the activism and fundraising energy that was created by the Ron Paul Revolution during his bid for the Republican nomination.
The first challenge will be filling the 11,000-seat stadium that Paul has reserved during the Republican convention in St. Paul. After that, Benton said, it will be on to the precinct-level to find libertarian candidates to support.
