Guilty As Charged: Edwards Cops to Adultery But Not Being the Baby Daddy; Enquirer Vindicated, Media Humiliated

Maybe he figures copping to the truth on a Friday afternoon during the opening of the Olympics will cause it to be lost in the shuffle.
John Edwards repeatedly lied during his Presidential campaign about an extra-marital affair with a novice film-maker, the former Senator admitted to ABC News today.

In an interview for broadcast tonight on Nightline, Edwards told ABC News correspondent Bob Woodruff he did have an affair with 42-year old Rielle Hunter, but said that he did not love her.

Edwards also denied he was the father of Hunter's baby girl, Frances Quinn, although the one-time Democratic Presidential candidate said he has not taken a paternity test.

Edwards said he knew he was not the father based on timing of the baby's birth on February 27, 2008. He said his affair ended too soon for him to have been the father.
OK, then do a DNA test, Silky.

How much you want to bet this sleazy sack of shit cries crocodile tears during this interview?

Lowlife cheated on his sick wife and will probably seek sympathy.

Up the upside for Edwards, this is definitely a resume enhancer in the Democrat Party.

Memo to the mainstream media: The cover-up will always be your downfall. Wave farewell to your credibility.

Update: Hot Air is tracking some updates. More from LGF, Michelle Malkin.

Update: The floodgates have opened. Scads of reaction here.

Silky just pulled the classic Friday news dump by releasing a statement at 5 pm. Money quote:
In the course of several campaigns, I started to believe that I was special and became increasingly egocentric and narcissistic. If you want to beat me up -- feel free.
Will do.

Media douchebag plays the victim.

Meltdown in the Land of Kos.
