Ha Ha! Prejean to Keep Title: 'We're in the 21st Century'

Poor little Perez Hilton. I hope he can keep it together seeing this news.

Donald Trump will let Miss California USA Carrie Prejean keep her title despite controversy over semi-nude photos and charges by state pageant officials that she had abandoned her duties to devote time to opposition to same-sex marriage.

"We're in the 21st century," Trump said, explaining Prejean is a model.

Smart move, Donald.

Prejean: Hey, by the way, my stance on gay marriage is the same as Obama's. Maybe you idiots in the media ought to report that.

Miss California Carrie Prejean and Miss USA pageant owner Donald Trump today both asserted that the much-discussed answer she gave at the Miss USA event -- that marriage should be between one man and one woman -- is the same as President Obama's stand on the issue.

"I've become an advocate for not redefining marriage," she said at a news conference given wall-to-wall coverage by the cable networks.

Common sense and logic prevails.

"We had a little bit of a dilemma with Carrie, who is here, lovely and gave a very, very honest answer when asked a very tough question at the recent pageant," Trump said. "It's the same answer the president of the US gave, the same answer many people gave. It was probably a fair question because it's asked of many people. If her beauty wasn't so great, nobody really would have cared."
