The breathtaking arrogance of these people beyond is beyond belief. I guess they weren't paying attention last night when Scott Brown stressed the importance of the war on terror.
The State Department has cleared the way for two prominent but controversial scholars to return to the United States.Ramadan, naturally, is thrilled to be able to come back and spew his anti-American, anti-Semitic bilge on college campuses.
State Department spokesman Darby Holladay said Wednesday that Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton has signed orders enabling the scholars' entry if they obtain visas.
The professors are Tariq Ramadan of Oxford University and Adam Habib of the University of Johannesburg.
Holladay said Clinton decided to use her exemption authority for the benefit of the professors.
"The decision brings to an end a dark period in American politics that saw security considerations invoked to block critical debate through a policy of exclusion and baseless allegation."Seems to me the Bush administration knew what they were doing.
"Under the Bush administration, academics and intellectuals were frequently excluded on the false pretext of security. Today's decision reflects the Obama administration's willingness to reopen the United States to the rest of the world, and to permit critical debate."
*In the midst of a series of mid-1990s attacks in Paris perpetrated by the Algerian Islamist terrorist movement, French Interior Minister Jean Louis Debre forbade Ramadan to enter France because of his connections to that movement. This is who Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama want speaking in our country?
*According to Spanish judge Balatasar Garzón, Ramadan had "routine contacts" with Ahmed Brahim, an Algerian believed to be the financial chief of al Qaeda and the financier of the 1998 U.S. embassy bombings in Tanzania and Kenya.
*In his 2001 trial, Djamel Beghal, an al Qaeda recruiter who confessed to conspiring to blow up the U.S embassy in Paris, testified that he had studied with Ramadan.
*Ramadan's address was found in a register of the Al Taqwa Bank, which is part of a network of financial institutions that the U.S. State Department believes is helping to fund terrorism.
*Ramadan characterized the 9/11 attacks, the October 2002 Bali nightclub attack, and the March 2004 Madrid train bombings as "interventions" rather than acts of terrorism.
*When asked by an Italian magazine whether car bombings against U.S. troops in Iraq were justifiable, Ramadan replied: "Iraq was colonized by the Americans. Resistance against the army is just."
You and I express our dismay with the government and we're portrayed as an angry, raucous mob. Islamists who hate our country? Hey, Tariq, come on in!
But wait, there's more.
Vis a vis Israel, Ramadan candidly favors the complete eradication of the Jewish state. According to one French investigative agent, Ramadan's ambition is "to bring about the legal extinction of the state of Israel through a major Muslim lobbying campaign, first in Europe, then in the United States."Ironically, Mrs. Clinton seems to ignore Ramadan's dark ages view of women. He doesn't like that uncovered meat.
In Ramadan's view, women should be forbidden to play in sports where their uncovered limbs would be seen by men. When asked whether he would condemn his own brother's statement that stoning a woman for adultery was an acceptable punishment as prescribed by Islamic law, Ramadan said only that he would ask for a moratorium on stoning.Impeccable timing with this administration. Twelve hours after getting their doors blown off politically in Massachusetts they turn around and allow a Tariq Ramadan into the country, right after they admit the system failed prior to the attempted Christmas Day plane bombing attempt. No doubt the investigation resulting from that mess will be another whitewash similar to another terror attack that shall go unmentioned.
They'll never get it and they will pay resoundingly in November.
