Reality Check: Weiner Finally Realizes He Has to Resign

This is probably step one in his psychological treatment. Admit you're an embarrassment to yourself, your wife, the Congress, your constituents and humanity. In whatever order you prefer.

Just leave.
As a cache of embarrassing new photos appeared Sunday, Rep. Anthony Weiner finally began considering the possibility that he may have to resign.

A source close to the congressman told the Daily News that Weiner had been adamant about keeping his seat - even as the Democratic leadership urged him to quit amid daily new revelations of reckless sexting.

But the unrelenting media coverage, the demands he step down from his party's leadership, and the appearance of more humiliating photos made Weiner realize he may not be able to bull through the crisis after all, the source said.
He's a very slow learner, apparently.
The last two weeks have taken a toll on the congressman, who isn't sleeping and spends hours pacing his apartment, friends said.
Must just be dying to whip out that Blackberry, among other things, and get back to his hard work.

He just needs to get a grip on things.  Sometimes the naked truth is hard to accept.

would be nice to see Joy Behar and that old Bitch on The View explain away these pics. Nevermind, I don't care what they say or think. Lying skanks

The Dems could be creating  Part II of the scandal.  If Weiner's staff is being re-assigned while he's being treated for his mental health issues, then Weiner's effectiveness as a Congressman is being neutered.  If House Democratic leadership is deliberately undermining his effectiveness, essentially disabling him politically, then why are taxpayers paying his salary and benefits while he's shopping his resume to George Soros for a new job?

So Weiner wants to retain his seat? I'll tell you what - I plan on replacing my toilet in the next few weeks and he can have the one (seat) I was going to toss in the trash. Either way, I think he can figure out what to do with this 'seat'.
