Talk about giving a new meaning to chugging along in a horse-drawn buggy.
Police cracking down on rowdy Amish youths ticketed an upstate teenager for having beer in his horse carriage when they pulled him over, authorities said.
Chris Slabaugh, 17, of Conewango, was charged with underage possession of alcohol after he was stopped by county cops Monday night in Leon, 40 miles south of Buffalo, The Associated Press reported today.
Cops said Slabaugh admitted to drinking beer, but passed a field sobriety test.
Police patrols have been beefed-up in the area after an Amish elder's property was vandalized recently when he confronted teens about their drinking.
